I at first didn't want to play Skyrim.
For one simple reason... Elder Scrolls is one
of the games that the graphics make me physically ill.
It's something in the coding I think. But watching my
son and hubby play the game made me want to play Skyrim.
And after seeing the DLC.. I am so playing this game!!
Now only if I can find a way to play ES...

Play the game on a crappy TV?

Quiet Man Cometh 06-23-2012 03:38 PM

Is it movement in particular? Like camera swaying? My brother gets seasick with some games at times. Smaller screens help, as well as turning off some features like the "camera" bouncing with the characters' steps in first person views.

No its the actual graphics itself.
I saw people play Sonic and never had a problem
but when I tried Billy Hatcher for the Gamecube
I got sick from it and it's made by the same people.
There are some games out there that do make people
actually sick from them and it doesn't have to
be the movement itself. You never know if that
game is it until you watch it. ~_~

And the tv we had was pretty crappy Illusion lol.

That's the problem I have no idea which or not both
of them made me sick ~_~ I have to buy them
both and try it out. Just hope to god I out
grew that... Even though it was about 5 years
ago this happened to me ;;

Obliv has been pretty darn cheap on Steam if you have that. I haven't checked up on Morrowind because I have a hard copy. I still haven't finished that game. Tempted to play it since I've managed to locate sheet music for the main theme that I want to play on my flute but it's beyond me at the moment. Still, the song is stuck in my head.

I might try Obliv again to see if I can handle
it. I just hope I can. That game is pretty sweet.

Remember, go to the skooma house and steal all the skooma! <3
Oblivion is amazing.. Until you notice how small the wars are in the main quest >.>

Quiet Man Cometh 06-25-2012 08:53 PM

I haven't played Oblivion. Never really thought about it since I was occupied with Morrowind and I'm too cheap to buy new games, most of the time. Then I heard Skyrim was coming out and figured I'd wait for that. I heard that in Obliv you can have your own house (something I missed in Morrowind) but that getting on your horse is an "excercise in frustration" (quoting a friend there). I like that those features are back in Skyrim, but I still want to layer my armour and robes! I just like the look of Armour over cloth. Looks cool. :)

Dawnguard is out for XBOX players... (ONLINE SLAVEEEESS..)

I'm getting every little detail about the expansion from the Bethesda forums <3

So far I know theres:
Dragon Bone Weapons
New skeleton flame horse mount
A new person in The ragged flagon that changes you appearance. (Surgery lol..)
If you join the Dawnguard and completed the questline you can still become a Vampire Lord
No Werebears

And other details but I'm too lazy to list them. Go find them yourselves xD

Karliah 06-26-2012 05:56 PM

I am so exited for it. I'm going to love the new perks trees and I'm joining Dawnguard.

Illusion 06-26-2012 05:58 PM

I want to join the vampires, they are super awesome.
<3 (But I made a character specifically for joining the Dawnguard.)

Plus you gain the ability to block out the sun temporarily <3 Vampires are finally going to be fun.

Not me. No access to Xbox Live so no DLC. I have a fat 360 which doesn't haven't have a built in Wifi and I'm borrowing my landlord's Wifi signal to access the internet.

Quiet Man Cometh 06-27-2012 02:13 PM

Aw, no werebears. Oh well. I want to check out Dawnguard but knowing me I won't get around to it for a while if ever.

I was checking out some mod reviews on youtube. Some are looking pretty cool. One gave you different mounts, like a spider, mammoth, bear, dragon, etc. Another populated Skyrim with level 50 lions that travelled in groups for when the game wasn't tough enough. Another turned Skyrim into a mass battlefield of sorts, which made walking places rather more challening, assuming you actually walk and not fast travel.

Bumped into the reviews when checking out a link my friend sent me, my little pony mod for the dragons. Whiterun taken down by fire breathing clones of Fluttershy.

Illusion 06-27-2012 10:04 PM

Burn whiterun, burn! Burn by the ol' might FlutterGUY
