well, I think they would be used in combination with the magic circles, all depending on the spell that is being casted. If I remember the last book I read that dealt with runes, to activate them, you had to use your own blood..

Hmm, That seems sorta like a blood mage with runes. Ill have to look up some rune concepts because i have also heard Runes being used as sacrificial items to create a spell.

I honestly not sure.. I think there's type of runes that you don't need to use blood for cause I am sure they use them in Wicca to perform spells.. but I wouldn't be having her using blood..
