Windows 7 FTW!
I actually was skeptical at first,
But I find it easy to use and very sleek in its design!

Mac is getting better at games, though, especially with Steam getting Mac support.

As for leaving laptops on... *checks uptime command* I haven't rebooted my MacBook in 28 days 22 hours 2 minutes, and that was to install a system update. Sure, I put my laptop in suspend mode when I'm not using it by closing the lid, but for me and my Mac we don't much need to shut down very often.

Now, my Mac Pro desktop gets rebooted fairly often because I'm using a buggy third-party USB wi-fi adapter that occasionally spazzes out and I have to reboot to get network access back. (It doesn't have AirPort built in because it's a server-grade system, but my apartment isn't laid out in any way that makes it convenient to run a wire.)

The only time I restart my Macbook is to install updates... and I don't even do that regularly, because I'm just flat-out too lazy to restart it most of the time. The only time I feel like I really should restart it is to install security updates or whatever - program updates, I don't really care enough about to bother.


My uptime is 19 days, 18 hours. xD

Windows 7 on my HP Pavilion dm3 laptop, I like it and this computer is so fast.

I only restart my computer to install updates, or if my tablet bugs out I have to restart to get it to connect. I just installed an update this morning, though.

I use Vista. It's kind of a love/hate 'ship I've with it, though. Sometimes it outright pisses me off and other times it's pretty cool. :3

It's strange how there are barely any games for Mac while the games are made on a Mac... for Windows xD

@MizuMahou: Haha, although I can kinda see what you mean, "too slow"? XD I would think that'd depend on the system Windows would be installed on :)
I love OSX, but I don't use it anymore since my iMac died on me. Now it's Windows 7~ I wouldn't go back, though. Macs are just too expensive for me, especially concidering the hardware you get for this price; my PC only cost me 1100 bucks vs. the 2200 I paid for my iMac at the time and it's about 4 times more powerful. ;o

I think it's worth the price considering the performance and stability you get from it, although it's more worth it for a laptop than for a desktop.

I have yet to see a system that will run Vista well that can't run 7. I have seen systems that CAN'T run Vista well run 7.

I'm currently using Windows 7, it came preinstalled on my laptop which is what I use almost all the time. The family desktop has Windows Vista on it. I'm considering installing Linux, just to see what its like though. Any users of that os out there feel free to message me and tell me what you think about it.

But mostly the instability, that was my biggest problem. I could never be sure if my pc would be safe, and I was never sure if I would loose my files. So many files got corrupted while I was working on them.

I have a Windows XP, have had it for yeaaarrs. I don't have much to complain about, really, and as for why I use it... well, I don't really 'need' to upgrade it so why bother? XD

I just wish it had nicer skins to go with... >.>

I am running under Windows 7, mainly because it came prepackaged with my PC. It is the most popular OS anyways. I am going to look into learning about Linux though.

I use Vista on my main laptop and I have Windows 7 Starter on my netbook. I'm too poor to upgrade either >.<

Bought Windows 7 after a virus pwn'd my HD containing Vista (Didn't have the Disk since it came preloaded with the computer). So far, it works pretty good.

I use Windows 7 64bit. It came with the computer so meh, I don't wanna change it. I don't like some things but it's pretty alright. I do miss Windows XP though xD

I really only have two complaints about Win7 64-bit.

(1) Driver support is still a bit spotty because it costs a lot of money for hardware manufacturers to get a driver signed.

(2) It's still Windows, which means it still has all of the little annoying Windows things about it.

Am curious on Windows7 though. But not sure if my computer can handle the upgrade. ;.;

Mac OSX because

- Windows Vista enjoyed the blue screen of death more than it liked working
- Windows 7 never enjoyed working properly and crashed my computer repeatedly and then broke and would no longer boot
- Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Mint/Red Hat/any other version of linux I've tried using isn't user friendly nor meant to be because it's meant for people that are essentially programmers
- Mac OSX works

Linux isn't "meant for programmers" specifically but it's true we do tend to be more comfortable there. There's a lot of Linux distributions designed for the Windows switcher that most users should just be able to jump in and use as long as you don't find yourself dealing with stupid hardware problems because of vendors that refuse to publish working drivers.
