They look...interesting, I suppose. >w> I can't wait to see what the rest of Gen 6 looks like. >w<

Illusion 01-09-2013 06:23 PM

I the grass Starter is being called a Chimpmunk/Hedgehog, but normally every Grass Starter is a prehistoric animal so it might just be that.

But as I said, these may or may not be fake. I personally believe they are fake, but very good fakes.

Ashy 01-09-2013 09:54 PM

they are fakes illu, i saw a thing debunking it on imgur

Ashy 01-09-2013 11:30 PM

https://i.chzbgr.com/maxW500/6954319360/hF4BB9779/

found this from what people are guessing based on the moves used in the trailer, though i thought the frog used quick attack and the grass one scratch :s

Arikana 01-10-2013 02:20 AM

Aw, man. Why can't it be dark and psychic parts be swapped? >w> Though water/fighting does sound pretty interesting.

Chespin looked more like a fighting type to me anyways :/ I kept saying that in the Serebii forums, I'm the one who brought up the Psychic/Fighting/Dark secondary types (I did in a different order.) Now everyone else seems to think so in this order.

Who knows whats going on....

_Hanzo_ 01-10-2013 08:27 AM

the first fire psychic type(victini) wasn't strong at all...water/fighthing i never seen it im actually excited 'bout it :'D!

Ashy 01-10-2013 08:34 AM

oh so that was you illu on the serebii forums xD

._. they look weird

Renata 01-10-2013 01:39 PM

im pretty sure xerneas is based off of some sort of mythological being.

Illusion 01-10-2013 06:08 PM

I'm running out of thought of these Pokemon and Generation... Fans have been going crazy spectating everything they could possibly think of. Now we need more fuel...
We probably won't hear anything new until Curo...Coro? (Whatever it's called.) Or next month at the least.

Alpha 01-11-2013 09:29 PM

Xerneas seems to be based off of a nature deity. Forest life, something like that.

*sighs* Another reason for me to get a 3DS......should still be worth it.

Illusion 01-12-2013 12:08 PM

Well the console is affordable, just save up. If you can store up 1 dollar a day in a envelope until October 1st, then you should have enough for the 3DS and both Pokemon games ;D

Law 01-12-2013 02:40 PM

The new starters honestly look like crap. xD The fire one is okay, and the water one is alright I guess but the grass one is just awful.

They are growing on me. I loved the Fennekin at first sight, and I despised Froakie and Chespin at first glance. But then I really took a look at them, Froakie was adorable I just hated his cotton balls on him, and Chespin looked like Oshawatt.

So far Chespin is the only one that I'm sketchy about, my likeness will probably change once I see his evolved forms.

My view on Xerneas is changing though because he looks different in his official artwork then he did in the trailer. Yveltal looks more attractive now. I think I might actually get both games...

Illusion 01-12-2013 03:52 PM

Oh and I found a cool speculation website that the legendaries are based on the Yggdrasil.

http://www.kimikogaming.net/pokemon-...ragon/#respond

It makes perfect sense.... The Z legendary would be the spectated Snake/Dragon, and then the "Psychic Type legendary" of each generation would end up being the Squirrel in the story!

Everything Fans have spectated easily fits into the Yggdrasil story. If this comes out to be true, it's simply amazing how intelligent and well put Pokemon fans are, we are able to put the dots together before the game is even released!

Ashy 01-13-2013 01:37 AM

I happened to buy my sister a 3ds for christmas($100) so it works out well for us. I'm not letting what happened with kh 3d happen again, as in she was hogging the 3ds :P

Hermes 01-13-2013 02:03 AM

all I can say is...I'm excited and will be getting Chespin!

SolaceXxX 01-14-2013 02:47 AM

I'm so excited for these games!
I can hardly contain my excitement!

Arikana 01-14-2013 02:59 AM

Gah, I hope the English names will be better for Gen Six than what they came up with for Gen Five. x.x Though I'll probably end up using their Japanese names regardless. >w> We'll see if some of the English names can worm their way into my head.

English names so far:

Fennekin
Froakie
Chespin
Xerneas
Yveltal

Wow... I managed to spell/pronounce all of them correctly without looking their names up xD

I like them (I hate pronouncing Yveltal (ee-veil-TALL)though...)

Lucid: 01-14-2013 02:56 PM

Honestly I don't think the names for Gen 5 are bad at all. They've been literal and un-creative since the first generation. I think the problem is getting used to the Japanese names, which are also fairly literal and pun-driven, but sound foreign and different and creative to us. Hearing the English names after that usually sounds so much worse in comparison. I hope they reveal all the languages for each name at the same time like they did with the starters.

Arikana 01-14-2013 03:14 PM

Actually, I was used to the Japanese names from the start and prefer them more because I could say them with ease since I know it. XD It has nothing to do with the language being foreign to me. :P

So the Japanese names had more of an essence of fluidity for me.

Illusion 01-14-2013 03:41 PM

I agree, some of the Japanese names for the 5th gen Pokemon were actually better. I prefer saying Monozu then Deino. But then again I like some of the english names like Snivy compared to *what was it?* Tsujiaru?

Arikana 01-14-2013 03:49 PM

Tsutarja. It is pronounced as tsu-taa-ja. :3

Lucid: 01-14-2013 07:06 PM

I think the only Japanese names I remember from Gen 5 were Giaru and Daikeni. And one of those two is basically "gear."

Demonskid 01-14-2013 07:26 PM

I like the japanese names more.. ono I often beg ashy for the japanese named pokemonz

Arikana 01-14-2013 07:33 PM

@Lucid: Well if you know Giaru, you should know it's two family members since they're basically just adding 'Gi' to the front. >w>
And it's Daikenki. >w> You through me off wondering what the crap you were talking about because of the missed 'k'. D:

@DK: Why do you have to bug Ashy for them? owo

Lucid: 01-15-2013 01:05 AM

And that's why it's too much trouble to go remembering the Japanese names. 8|

Arikana 01-15-2013 02:37 AM

I don't have any trouble remembering them. >w> In fact, it's the opposite for me. I have more trouble remembering the damn English names. :|

Ashy 01-15-2013 07:55 AM

Well most people in the thread played the jap version first, that's why we all know the jap names more. And DK bugs me because I have them :P

Alpha 01-15-2013 11:27 AM

I guess it would be easier to get them in Australia than for those of us in the states, eh?

Demonskid 01-15-2013 04:04 PM

OnO I like the pretty Kana in the names...

Wha? You have them already? D:
Can you give me your copies? >w>

Illusion 01-15-2013 11:51 PM

I won't be able to play the Japan copies first this year... BECAUSE IT'S COMING OUT IN AMERICA ON THE SAME DAY AS JAPAN! :DDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Ashy 01-16-2013 07:27 AM

Ashy 01-16-2013 09:08 AM

In addition to that, they have released six direct feed screenshots of the Pokémon in battle, which have been added to our screenshot page. Click the image to go to our page"

Aw, and I was SO interested by the rumour that the final evos of the Gen Six starters would be grass/dark, fire/psychic, and water/fight. >w>

Illusion 01-16-2013 11:56 PM

They confirmed that the Starters are pure types like every other starter, they didn't state that their evolutions will have secondary types or not.
