I don't like being poor either, but now being poor or even rich on Gaia I don't care anymore. I have 5 mil on there and I still can't buy anything. :S

I never had the problem of people looking down on me. Course maybe you were in a different section of the website than me. I don't know really.

On Gaia, I'm not rich. NO ONE is rich thanks to Flynn and her inflation.

To be honest, I don't even know what rich would be on Gaia right now >.>... I think everything below 10 million can be considered as poor on Gaia right now and when you consider and that only due to Flynn's Booty/Chest, gaia's cash to gold converter...

At least I have a very big inventory on Gaia though, but that's pretty much it >.>. The economy there is just simply put a disaster.

I think the avatar site I feel most rich on is Midorea, once you get to a high enough lvl at the battle system making the currency becomes rather easy but, then again, I could actually be poor and not know it since the price guild there seems to really not reflect actual prices but, then again, event items and DIs seem to be rather scarce...

I suck at the battle system because I can only afford volleyballs XD And I have nothing I want to buy there that I can remember at least XD

I looked up one item on gaia. It was worth 3mil...now it is like 10mil. Almost makes me want to sell it, but my friend gave it to me and I use it XD

Another was worth 5mil...now 14mil.

I'd say, use Volleyballs until lvl 8, at 8 make sure your stats are high enough that you can get a Spray Bottle of Water, then just water bottle everything until you can 2-hit them with the Volleyball xD. That was my tactic when I deleted my own character and had to start from scratch lvl-wise :3. It is a pain getting to lvl 8 though >.>...

I totally agree, I'm stinkin' filthy rich and have a knack for insane luck when opening chance items (on any site really) but no amount of pixels can make up for good companionship. ^^

To be honest I think that 14k-15k or so would be the middle class and 20k-30k could be rich but... I'm really not sure ^^;.

30 is def middleclass, our rich members are in the 50-70s

Coda is also not human! My largest trade equaled out of 300k, mix of items and au and I was like.... holy shit.. that is a lot. Then I go to the shops and can spend that much some times.

I don't know what would be considered rich or poor. At one time I though t that I was rich when I had about 100k in items know which is worth about 300k. I have come into contact with 4 Lanka seta yet never earning a free one for being in beta. I sold 3 if them and split the last one up and donated it to random people. I would be richer if I didn't donate half my qoerh every other month.

I'm usually not that poor on avatar sites, I don't post a whole lot but I've kind of stopped dressing my avatar as anything other than my current bartender look so I never buy items and hardly care about earning gold, and after awhile I realize I've accumulated 20K worth of site currency without noticing.

People don't really look down on me either because they've gotten so used to seeing Red Lion the Bartender, I dress the same on every site I go on and I always have a pub somewhere. it's just who I am who everyone recognizes on sites where I'm active (Which isn't many anymore TBH, I've kinda drifted away from avatar sites in the past year).

It all depends on how you define wealth on this site. To me middle class is around 100k exactly, while Upper Middle class is around the 150-199k range. 200k+ Of wealth, and I will consider that pretty wealthy and rich on this site.
That's out of my perspective though, but wealth is very discreet on this site and items are pretty easy to obtain if your active enough, or sell art. But there is a fair equilibrium in the market nowadays, but that's only because old members have been very cautious not to vend like crazy.

The market on this site is a extremely interesting thing, I love comparing this site with America's current market and see how much they compare to one another in terms of human influence.

i made about 700k just selling off all my items for between 3-5k each, if you think about it i could have made millions if sold at market value

For the record, only a single-digit number of non-staff users have 200k+ aurum. 100k+ is really the top tier. Stripping out the upper class and the poor folk, the average user has around 25k.

I suppose the average depends on what you consider "poor" and what you consider "upper class"; choosing different breakpoints can bring the average down to 18k or up to 32k.
