Umaeril 07-11-2013 11:11 PM

Oh jeez I don't even know what that is. *cry* I'm feeling so old lately. I suppose I could make threads, but the problem is that I would neglect them. That is why I don't have fish.

littl3chocobo 07-11-2013 11:15 PM

it is sorta like the sims and a dressup game and online dating, looks /soooo/ freaky imvu i think is the oldest?

Tiva 07-11-2013 11:16 PM

IMVU is evil... and second life is so damn complex!

Umaeril 07-11-2013 11:29 PM

I know someone who designs stuff, clothes for Imvu. They make RL money from it. o_O

Espy 07-12-2013 12:07 AM

But those are...old. I don't really see those going anywhere, TBH, unless something's change drastically in the five or so years since I stopped using them...

Tiva 07-12-2013 06:23 AM

The younger crowd has picked up on them. But yeah imvu is a huge money pit, so is second life.

Echo-chan713 07-12-2013 02:04 PM

Mainly why I haven't been here often is because there just isn't much to talk about on the threads and on all of my threads are dead

Lestrade 07-12-2013 03:56 PM

Second Life is still a thing? Like, people still join it? O.o I had an account years ago but could never get into it.

littl3chocobo 07-12-2013 04:54 PM

people still play and there are still adds for it

Eboneye 07-13-2013 12:05 AM

Well for me it depends on when I get on. The time of day...more people are on during certan times. Also, as most have al;ready stated, it summertime! Things to do, placing to see. I can onlt get on when time allows...like now, its 12:03 am here for me.
...Why am I not sleeping...?
Goodnight!

Nexess 07-13-2013 01:53 AM

>Works Alot<

We totally have an event coming up, I promise, it's like 85% complete, but as said we've all had huge real life work loads thrown at us. I've been working 40 hours a week at my job, and I'm part time.

Hopefully we can bring it all together before the month is out, I really hope @___@

Ethereal 07-13-2013 02:28 PM

I am not overly concerned with Trisphee being slow lately, since all of the lovely people who work on the site are people too, and have lives outside of Tris; however that doesn't mean that Trisphee is going to go away. They haven't put this much effort and love into this site just to panic at slow posting times, especially in the summer.

So the monthlies are late, and there haven't been many events; we are all still here and many new people have joined our family! I have been gone for so long and am so happy that there are new members for me to welcome and get along with now. I love this site very much, and I think everyone would agree that this place is here to stay for a very very long time! ~ <3

Arikana 07-14-2013 12:26 AM

Well said, Ethereal! I second your entire statement. <3

Yokuutsu 07-14-2013 12:32 AM

@Ethereal
I would feel the same...except Crysandrea. Just look what happened there. We're gonna be down for three months or so...

-silence for almost three months on facebook-

Then suddenly, oh, we're shutting down.

So I have no faith in websites like those staying open anymore beyond Gaia. It's sad.

littl3chocobo 07-14-2013 04:44 AM

crys was doomed anyway though, the owner had a habit of closing down sites >x>;;

I do understand where you are coming from on that point, but as to Crys and other sites I have loved and lost, I have noticed that those owners/creators were not as involved/caring about their sites months-years after its creation. As chocobo stated that particular owner does have a terrible habbit of just, shutting the sites down. Yet, look at all the moderators and everyone else higher up here who still have so much faith in Trisphee. We all much keep hope, and just be glad that we have this place for however long it will be here.
:f-kittysmile:

Twigg 07-16-2013 03:36 AM

What Ethereal said. Staff all cares about Tris more than most sites. Unfortunately real life catches up and delays happen. We have no plans of closing or anything like that so just bear with us for just a little while longer. (:

Fauxreal 07-16-2013 03:33 PM

Real life tends to interfere with everything!

Hear hear, it does indeed. This place though is worth coming to and at least is more active than some places or at least one place I could mention. But I don't go to many sites to be honest. But I am willing to actually put in some effort here. It is not wasted effort, I notice that people will reply and certainly if there was an event, rare as they are around here that would be very fun too. Maybe some older threads and/or hangouts get neglected but new stuff gets answers.

Hey, I've been on IMVU for seven years and still use it XD

... More than Trisphee, I'm sorry to say v.v;;

Arikana 07-17-2013 03:04 AM

I've never been on IMVU or this second life thing. Just no interest in them. o3o

Tiva 07-17-2013 10:25 AM

IMVU just seems money hungry for me, but i won't knock the people that like it. I tried out both, and i prefer the stagnant avatar sites vs the moving ones.

Coda 07-17-2013 01:52 PM

Second Life is bloody complex, indeed. I used to do a little bit of scripting there.

Lestrade 07-17-2013 08:25 PM

Well, Gaia's pissing people off in droves, so maybe it'll start to pick up here >.>

Lucid: 07-17-2013 08:29 PM

Ouch, what did Gaia do this time?
I left when they started doing the online offers for cash and a bunch of them turned out to be scam/virus sites.

Lestrade 07-17-2013 08:32 PM

They rereleased an old donation item for $1000 and then just now made an exclusive shop only available to people who get invites (which apparently you get if you spend a lot in Cash) that has really expensive Cash items, some of which are monthly.

I'm talking $250 monthly items. It's insane.

Lucid: 07-17-2013 08:33 PM

Yeah, I can see that pissing some people off. xD
Honestly though, the people who actually buy those are the crazy ones.

littl3chocobo 07-17-2013 08:53 PM

crazy and able to get whatever they want though i would not mind if we had one of those people here XD sink a ton into the site to sell off to the users hahaha

Lucid: 07-17-2013 10:25 PM

The problem is that most of us here are fairly responsible people. xD I've put a fair amount of money into this site for sure, but slowly and in small increments over time. I could never justify a $1000 purchase of anything at this point in my life!

littl3chocobo 07-17-2013 10:54 PM

i could on a car X''D

Lestrade 07-17-2013 11:03 PM

My current car was only $800, lol

WHAT.

I'm so glad I stopped using Gaia when I did... And I thought it was bad then.

Lestrade 07-18-2013 12:05 AM

Yeaaaah. I've been pretty "over" Gaia for the last few years, but I still really like the forums and the items and stuff and have a lot of friends there. But this is just really ridiculous, and I can't see how people can continue defending the staff at this point.

Illusion 07-18-2013 12:07 AM

The new club thing is ridiculous.. I'm glad I've been marketing this entire year trying to make as much gold as possible then buy all the delicious art I can get so I can leave with bunch of awesome stuff. <3

littl3chocobo 07-18-2013 12:16 AM

illusion is looking for art on gaia?

I'm not looking for art yet, but yeah once I make the most profit I can I will be looking for some HQ art.

littl3chocobo 07-18-2013 12:21 AM

well i dunno if mine is good enough but i have a gaia and since i don't actually /play/ there i never really have any money except through swapping out items

Hot damn. That is ludicrous.

I get Gaia Online is trying to think of more ways to make extra money, but do they have to do it via such cheap methods? :/ I hope these re-releases are at least including new recolours to make it a little more worth it, though not by much. I absolutely hate it when sites have the gall to re-release old items simply to help make more money, regardless of extra recolours or not. *cough*I'mlookingatyou,Zantarni.*cough*

Same. Gotta watch how much I spend on avatar sites and make sure I never mail in too much whenever I do.

I'd rather spend a thousand dollars on stuff I actually need (and, /maybe/, want) in real life than on virtual stuff. :3

I stopped going on Gaia Online in 2007 since I kind of forgot my password. XD But that's okay, cause I've never looked back since then as I've merely flitted from site to site before finally arriving at Tris. :)

THIS!!!! I don't have internet and soon I won't even have the time to get on at the café! But also I'll have my own place, hopefully with internet.

Lucid: 07-18-2013 07:30 PM

Ari, the problem with re-releases having recolors is that it makes the people who already have the item mad! It's bad enough that other people are getting their hands on their precious rare item, but now if they want the new colors they have to get the NEW one! WHAT AN OUTRAGE!
