Mystical Detective: Loki Ragnarok?
(Not the best of manga/anime, but was fun to see Fenris, Jorm, Hati and Skoll, Hel, and many other things exiled in a laughingly funny Anime.) |
If that what it's about? I don't read a lot of manga.
No - according to reports, the Nordic dating for Ragnarok - the battle of the Norse gods and heroes against the Jotunn (giants) and the like that would result in only a few lesser gods and 2 humans surviving (and the earth falling, and the Corpse-eater drake destroying the World Tree and...), was to take place today.
The manga is essentially Loki being banished to modern day Earth as a way to prevent these events. Loki there becomes a supernatural detective, capturing the supernatural evil in order to have enough power to force his way back. (Which would launch Ragnarok). |
Okay, so technically, the date "2/22" is a very subjective one. People have only pegged Ragnarok as starting today because of the shitty winters we've had and the relative lack to "good" summers.
DAMN! I didn't realize it was suppose to be today! But I only have a few more days till my trip to Japan! Can't it hold out till then?
(As indicated by my "according to reports" and Espy's clarification, people are really more making something out of nothing, I believe. Some are using it to celebrate, some are just trying to reinstate the 2012 thrill, etc.)
It should be fine. |
If we had, say, sixth months out of twelve of whipping blizzards each year, for three years in a row, and cold summers, only then would I actually consider Ragnarok to be upon us.
...Espy's conditions sound plausible for certain polar areas of the world...
*shrugs* |
Well - I just hope to not go to hell. :)
Indeed. Well, I don't see that Ragnarok is actually happening.
I didn't get swallowed by a snake, which is not to say it still can't happen.
Fenrir! FEEENRIR! Where are you, boy! I have a nice hand-treat for you...
Pretty much winter from November till March here :3
http://gocanada.about.com/od/canadat..._in_winter.htm -20°c...well that was the warm winter days XD we've had an average of -30°c this January while in the summer peek we got some insane 40°c D: 4 seasons for the win except when you need way too much clothing hahaha |
I love having four seasons.

Silvery - you are another person from Canada!
Goodness - I suddenly want hockey and eat fries with gravy on them. |
*Wishes I could go to Canada or Mexico now...*
Why? The weather? I like the cold.
Just because I'd like to explore...
(<3 the cold as well) |
I hope I can do a little of that in Japan.
Yay! Someone else likes the cold! |
I'm not very fond of cold weather but I'd like to experience snow for once... haha! :)
There is no snow where you are?
I believe Cazz is somewhere tropical-esque? If so, that would explain no snow...
I've actually been to Mexico. Nice place, but don't go outside the tourist-y areas unless you have connections who can protect you...seriously. |
Hello!
I hear Mexico? Waoww mexico! Its my dream to go to Mexico! ; O ; It doesnt snow here too...; - ; |
Same with Brazilian cities...
Military = police Police = totally corrupt |
I wish someday deception ends...
Yep. It's really true of most of Central and South America. Tis unfortunate but a sad fact.
Father did some nuclear risk analysis for the Brazilian Government a while back...
Woah - That is crazy Law. And spooky!
Not really - he has traveled multiple places like that. The Nuclear-Flood incident in Japan was something my father actually predicted for a sister powerplant in Switzerland were a dam to flood to the same level.
I didn't want to be the one to tell you this - but your father is a spy.
Well, he is cleared higher than most, but nope. No spy-ish stuff.
>.> I may be, though... <.< |
