*wheels out a table laden with various sweets; cookies, little cakes, brownie bites, tarts, scones and jam, and anything you can imagine* I'm afraid I'm going to be away for a bit, so please, help yourself! Chat amongst each other! I'll be in and out for a while if you need anything. |
*Stuffs one self and looks around for possible ninja hiding spaces*
So i suppose no one else is from Sweden and celebrating Saint Lucia Day today? Also did anyone watch the Nobel prize being given out the day before? |
what's St. Lucia Day? o.o
also, Nobel Prize? |
To quote Star Trek First Contact:
"Definitely not Swedish..." |
http://www.nobelprize.org/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nobel_Prize It's one of the most famous prizes in the world, how can you not know it? and well Lucia is mostly a Nordic or Swedish tradition https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Lucy's_Day |
haha, I know of the Nobel, I just didn't hear about the one you're talking about.
|
What do you mean the one i talked about?
|
you said one was awarded the other day? o.o
|
ALL OF THEM WAS!
Edit:Got servant of the moon from the RIG, It's cool im hoping i get more of that one but that means im probably gonna get more of the others as well, while trying to get that xP |
*critical hit!*
x___________x |
Sorry for yelling
|
gods damn it, I just wasted another thousand AU on that coffee item. I feel like that crying face from the set. :P
|
Yeah thats the crux with getting a random item, it's hard to get the ones you want. I hope there are people that want the coffee ones later.
|
Could swap it in the exchange for a different item, but there's no guarantees it's not another coffee...or a pumpkin from the halloween event. :P
|
I already did say i don't want it sitting where it isn't certain someone that wants it gets it.
|
ahh, nobody wants COFFEE PLZ, better to swap it for something useful. :P
|
So what's on the menu today?
|
same as always; tea and sweets!
|
......i meant more specifically
And now my favorite cake German lemon cake Cake mix: 150g margarine 3 eggs 2 dl sugar ½ pinch salt grated peel from ½ lemon (more if you like lemon) (just the yellow on the outside not the white) 3 dl flour 1 teaspoon baking powder Lemon mixture: 2 dl powdered sugar juice from 1 lemon (more if you like lemon but in that case take less water) 2 tablespoons water Melt the margarine and let it cool whisk egg, sugar, salt and lemon peel puffy for some minutes stir the margarine and the flour blended with the baking powder into the egg mixture and pour it then into a breaded cake mold bake in the lower part of the oven for 45 min at 175 degrees Celsius Let the cake cool a bit. Blend the powdered sugar with the lemon juice and the water. Make holes all over the cake and pour the lemon mixture into the holes. Serve Cold. |
As mentioned...uh...somewhere, you can set up a selling/trading thread for the items you don't want.
|
Stop bothering about that already, sit down order your tea and otherwise first ^^
|
...Crap, sorry. I missed the few posts in the middle with Toho, my bad.
|
Anna? I would like some salt tea today ^^
and perhaps some sort of sweet rusk? |

salt tea...? Do you mean suutei tsai? |
Yeah ^^ Sorry i didn't know the real name and aren't gonna remember it forwards.
Have you ever tried it yourself? |
I have not, no! Sounds interesting though.
*sets a teapot on your table* so, how's your day been? |
Well quite normal except i did some stressful things so have chugged tea all day so that my stomach doesn't feel too..... acidic?
|
tea is mildly acidic, although certainly not as bad as soda or juice.
stress is no fun though :C |
Well it's less acidic than stomach acid isn't it?
I easily gain stress and have a hard time losing it. |
well, yes, much less than gastric acid.
|
So what kind of recipe should i post tomorrow?
Carrot Cake? Chocolate Sorbet? |
mmm, sorbet sounds good! :D
|
Sure, it's pretty simple but it does require some attention while hardening and making it.
|
sounds lovely~! <3
|
Do you ever make your own preserves or drinks from what you harvest?
|
uhh...I don't harvest anything.
|
Oh.....thats too bad
Even in towns over here there is always some place that have stuff that no one harvests that you can take. Elder-flowers are a good example they make an excellent drink and even one bush can give a lot. But i live in the country so all my stuff are my own but if i wanted to i could go to the woods and pick wild berries and mushrooms when it's season for those. |
wow, that sounds cool. I've never grown or harvested anything. o__o
my friend grows blueberries though! |
Those grow in many forests here but unfortunately we have a yearly pest problem.
