|
I'm not sure what that is. o.o
|
A kind of pen that have a container with real ink and a quill tip (i think you could call it that) to write with? Im not good at explaining, google is your friend?
|
oh, do you mean, like, a fountain pen?
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...untain_pen.jpg my brother got one of those in his stocking. It's kinda cool, not really my thing though. |
Oh that's the name yeah, whats a reservoir pen then? Something similar probably.
What nice pens are you using then? |
just some nice gel pens.
|
Gel pens? Those are colorful pens right?
|
i got like 50usd worth of stamps XD
|
As some of you guys already know, I got engaged for Christmas. That's pretty much it other than some small chocolates and bath stuff that'll never be used by me... (I always shower apart from when we spend time a my nans place)
Oh, I also got a shiny new obi from my partner too that I'd been eyeing up for a particular kimono coordination ^_^ |
Oh so you are a stamp collector then? Or is it new stamps to be used for cards?
|
oooh, obis are expensive XD
both XD i collect stamps both for keeping and for letter-making. i use very specific types of stamps that match my letters and i have enough penpals that it will take me about 3 months to use those stamps up fully XD |
You seem like you have lots of hobbies and things to do Cho.
Also got faded rolling hills now, much much better than pink ones. |

I like them because they're smoother than regular ballpoints. |
Okay so normal pens then, well i hope you make good use of them. Be creative ^^
Colors are more fun tho |
I might get some colored pens. Black ones are more universally useful though.
|
well, i am semi-bedridden XD if i did not i would be bored out of my mind, hahahaha
|
Red ones are more useful because it's pretty!
|
a lot of places do not allow red because they mess up computers XD

This obi certainly was! It's literally shiny mermer scale pattern <3 I'm hoping to be able to put together an Ariel themed kitsuke (kimono outfit) in the near future and the obi he got me is perfect for it! ^_^
Here's a pic of said obi : http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...psldvhcukq.jpg |
woooaaaaah, that would look amazing with white and blue
|
I'm actually planning on putting with a green/blue kimono (that I'll probably have to make) and pale purple accessories similar to this :

not my thing XD but good luck~ it is gorgeous regardless
|
Thank you <3 I normally go the traditional route with my kimono and just wanted one fun/unusual outfit while I'm still young enough to get away with it XD
|
Is wearing kimono heavy?
|
tch, age does not do anything XD you can look boss as fuck as long as you can still shimmy into one hahaa
|
Lol... I'm very self conscious at the best of times and so I tend to stick to the rules more ^_^;;
They can be heavy, but it's more that there are a lot of things that go into wearing kimono. There are multiple ties to keep things in place, padding to make you more tube-like if you are more shapely, not to mention trying to get things to sit right and stay put XD But it all depends upon how traditional you want to be with it and what sort of kimono you are wearing. For example wearing Yukata is very simple as you'd only need a few ties (himo) the cotton kimono (yukata), the obi (normally a hanahaba or half-width obi) and maybe a slip to wear underneath. Whereas if you wanted to wear a Furisode (kimono with almost floor length sleeves) which is very formal and designed for young unmarried girls you woud require much more like a Juban (kimono undergarment), a more formal type of obi, the furisode kimono, several tyes, collar stiffeners, obi stiffeners, obiage and obijime (the scarf like fabric above the obi and the thin rope seen on the obi) plus an obi makura (translates as obi pillow is used for tying the obi in certain styles), tabi (split toe socks) and zori (shoes)... ^_^;; |
One can't be shapely in a kimono?
And i get a headache just from reading your post, so complex! Even if kimono looks cool i prefer clothes you can just throw on (or off) |
Sorry about that ^_^ I get a little carried away when talking about kimono ^_^;;
It's more ideal to be tube shaped to wear kimono in a traditional way, but you can wear them in any way to suit you to be honest. It is after all just another piece of clothing. ^_^ |
shapely is not seen as ideal XD at least not outside of manga, hahahaha
|
I got Animal Crossing New Leaf for 3DS, a tank top/legging set, a pot/pan set, a blender, socks, a Princess Mononoke sweater, and some cozy legwarmer slippers with pompoms on them.
As for gifts I gave or am about to give on New Year's Day, I got my fiance a 3DS XL and a complete car detailing kit, my grandparents a new tv, my mom and my aunt special keepsake boxes, a peach mango candle for my aunt (You get a candle, YOU get a candle, everyone gets a candle!), cinnamon-stick ornaments for my mom, and a grow-your-own flower kit for my mom. |
They actually encourage you to either bind your breasts or use padding to create the tube shape. When I tried on a kimono my breasts were a huge problem. DDs don't work in a kimono because you either size for your waist hips or breasts. Means it is bigger size if you are wider in one area than another.
