Quilt, I had 4 patterns and a solid for the back.

trystan830 10-26-2016 01:25 PM

ah cool.

the three i had was probably for one of the girls' comic con costumes a few years ago... my daughters have decided they like making their costumes. this year they make (are making) a long coat and vest... the older one is Alexander Hamilton, and the younger one is Aaron Burr. XD

Pessimisticat 10-26-2016 01:35 PM

Ugh, Trystan I am feeling your struggle so hard.
My manager is always bad with scheduling, he doesn't even post the schedule till super late and then gets mad when everyone is like "wtf, I can't work this day I told you."
Like..just do your job right the first time, dang. How many times do we gotta yell at you before you learn to make the schedules correctly ;u;

trystan830 10-26-2016 01:40 PM

the kicker is it's all computerised. we put in our availability and day off requests in the computer, and all the manager pretty much has to do is set the start and end date, and click 'run' (at least, i'm pretty sure that's how it's set up.) but then she goes and edits and tweaks it.

like for cashiering, i'm sure every time i'm 9-1:30, the number of hours ends up being X (where X is the number of cashiering hours budgeted for the week) minus 1/2 hour, so she gives me that 1/2 hour to make the total number of budgeted hours.

the more i type about this, the more i think i want to stop at joann's on my way home and fill out an application. *sigh*

Pessimisticat 10-26-2016 01:44 PM

Ours is too, but my manager just tends to copy and paste the schedule from the week before and idk how, but manages to ignore everyone's requests.

But, we also have like 15 sales associates who constantly give up their shifts, WHICH DRIVES ME INSANE BECAUSE THEN I GET GUILT TRIPPED INTO COMING INTO WORK ON MY DAYS OFF UGHHHHHHH.

I am so glad I have another job, that I've so far enjoyed working at, and am in a higher position there, so I get more hours and they can't bother me to come in and cover for people last minute anymore.

trystan830 10-26-2016 02:07 PM

yeah, michaels is my second job, but that's only because my main job is only 24 hours a week...

trystan830 10-26-2016 08:21 PM

well, we can dress up provide that it fits dress code, and we have to wear our vest over top of it. and i only work on the weekends, so i don't know if people have been dressing up this week or not.

SparX 10-26-2016 08:24 PM

SekeNeko and I went to michaels on monday, there was a wind up doll =3
and everything was almost 60% off..... so we got some extra stuff for halloween XD

Athilea Majiri 10-26-2016 08:26 PM

I'm going to be a lazy R2D2 to kinda go with my eldest being Darth Vader and my yougest being a padawan.

trystan830 10-26-2016 08:30 PM

yep, SparX, it's all pretty much on sale now.

it's all the xmas stuff that's scary now. XD

Fulkth 10-26-2016 09:10 PM

I remember in kindergarten, the whole school had this Halloween thing going on. I was dressed up as Supergirl. I clearly remember some kid being impressed by my outfit, but I did not like wearing the costume at all. I don't think I like wearing costumes to this day. O.O

Den 10-26-2016 09:15 PM

I'm going to be Runner 5 from "Zombies, Run!". I kinda wanna dork it up a bit and add a paper Optimus Prime head to the costume.

I love costumes and dressing up, and Halloween is one of the few times I can dress up and not get stared at.

Rainbowfox Ari 10-26-2016 10:23 PM

Not dressing up as anything this year because no money. >>
But next year, I might go as Dr. Foxx. (<-character I made up)

Which consists of a white-fox over-the-head full mask, stethoscope, labcoat, 'scrub' costume, giant syringe strapped to my back, and a beaker-type shot-glass for water at whatever party I happen to be at.

Lawtan 10-27-2016 10:36 AM

We're honestly not doing much this year. All of us have too much work to have much time to celebrate, tbh.
:C

Athilea Majiri 10-29-2016 08:01 AM

I remember being a witch when I was 5. Mostly, I remember making a mask for the costume, and the smell of the materials more then I remember the costume itself.

Den 10-29-2016 06:53 PM

I'm mainly helping hand out candy this year. I don't feel up to trying to go to parties... :(

ShadowGrimReaper87 10-30-2016 08:06 PM

I was going to dress up as Arkham city Harley Quinn and my boy's were going to be Batman and Robin. But alas we couldn't get a Robin costume for my youngest, so now they are Batman and Superman. But idk if I'm still going to dress up. If it is not as it was Friday when they trick or treated down historic main street then I will.

Potironette 10-30-2016 10:09 PM

Me, myself, and I. I should get a I <3 Maine (ME) t-shirt.
Actually, I'm just not up for getting a costume.

Quiet Man Cometh 10-30-2016 11:01 PM

All my Halloween stuff I left back at my brother's when I moved out. Given there was always a dog show on Halloween just before my cousin's annual party, I became the master of the ten minute costume. I used to work at a Party City as Halloween staff so I do have some bits and pieces lying around: Cat ears, cow hat, toga, and teeny bopper poodle skirt. Don't have a lot of energy for halloween anymore, so not doing anything this year. At some point though, I'd love to go as the MC from Cabaret.

My default are the (other) cat ears and tail that I've had since I was about 10, and one year I might update that a little bit with a bright pink wig and go as Catty Noir since my niece is a fan of Monster High.

lovelacedroses 10-31-2016 01:42 PM

I'm going to be a magical girl. ouo

Awen Moonshine 10-31-2016 01:45 PM

I'm just wearing all black tonight (like most days to be fair) as we've not got anywhere to go/ anything to go to and my cosplays and kimono are too small at the moment as I need to lose some weight... ^_^;;

setsunaela 11-01-2016 03:20 AM

I dressed up as a spoopy goth. Black and orange eye makeup, deep purple lips, black outfit, one black and purple striped thigh high stocking, one red and black.

Witchchylde 11-02-2016 04:02 PM

Does wearing my Deadpool t-shirt all day and night on Halloween count as a costume? I'd kind of like it to get that lived-in look, so I've been doing my best to live n it as much as possible. :p-grin:

SparX 11-05-2016 10:13 AM

Here's the pictures of mah costume =D

Batty 11-05-2016 11:49 AM

daaaaaaaaamn!

SPARX, YOU SEXY. <3
I ended up dressing up, even though I swore I wasnt going to.
... wore my female jack skellington costume, and added bat wings and pretty badass makeup to it.

setsunaela 11-06-2016 01:13 AM

Wow sparx that costume looks amazing!

Quiet Man Cometh 11-06-2016 05:09 AM

I had a pet rat once. I made a "sorceress" costume (because "witch" was entirely too common!) and then had him on my shoulder while I was handing out candy.

Athilea Majiri 11-06-2016 06:55 PM

That was an awesome costume Sparx!

Potironette 11-06-2016 07:08 PM

Oh wow SparX that's gorgeous <3!

setsunaela 11-06-2016 10:00 PM

I had my pet rat on my shoulder giving out candy as a generic goth girl one Halloween

trystan830 11-06-2016 10:03 PM

ooh SparX, that's cool!

SparX 11-07-2016 10:45 PM

-feels superbly flattered-
oh you guys =3
Next years is gonna be handmade and much much cooler XD
