I suddenly got the urge to play Suikoden Tierkreis (DS) again, and it's pretty darn fun. I love collecting all the characters, but when I originally played I missed a few... trying to get 100% this time.

I do love GrimGrimoire's art style, VanillaWare has a gorgeous aesthetic. The Final Fantasy Legend, a.k.a. SaGa 1, is gonna be tough given how old the system I'm playing it on is also not having a manual doesn't help a ton. But it's still interesting to see where SaGa Frontier started.

SparX 09-06-2017 11:02 AM

I've been simming recently

CactuarJoe 09-06-2017 04:18 PM

I never really liked the Sims all that much, Roller Coaster Tycoon though? Love that sooooo much.

Lanfear 09-06-2017 11:41 PM

I just started a new playthrough on Dragon Age Inquisition.
I'm not overly fond of playing human characters, so this is new.. and significantly more boring, but it's too late to change my mind and I'm comitted to seeing it through.

SinX_franz 10-10-2017 02:04 PM

Right now I'm alloting most of my time playing mobile games. I'm currently playing Bloodline SEA on my mobile, Fate/Grand Order on my table, and SoulKing Global through an emulator installed on my PC. I'm also playing Paladins whenever time permits and I feel like I won't suck.

Claire Bear 10-10-2017 02:10 PM

i'm in the middle of replaying life is strange. looking forward to playing the prequel, but i'm waiting until all the chapters are out to buy.

Worm 10-10-2017 07:05 PM

Finally get to try Pokemon Moon B)

mdom 10-13-2017 08:49 PM

I found out Stranger Things has a mobile game xD
So I downloaded and I'm already stuck, obviously

KittyBeary 10-14-2017 03:55 AM

Picked up Wild World again. Making me feel really nostalgic. XD

AshenStardust 10-15-2017 10:24 PM

I've been playing mario and luigi superstar saga. Its taking me back to when I was little and had a game boy, and it still holds up so well!

Espy 10-16-2017 01:45 AM

Been messing around with the first Fallout lately; currently running around in Morrowind.

Guild Wars 2.

Lots of Guild Wars 2.

Speaking of games, I have an excuse to play something for school and I haven't done it yet!

A game FOR school?! What game is that?

Coda 10-18-2017 11:20 AM

I've been working my way through Metroid: Samus Returns lately. It's good to actually take some time out to play video games again.

Prey is on my list coming up, as is Cuphead.

Nightmare 10-19-2017 02:25 AM

Warframe has been my major time sink as of late, whenever I decide to get up. New work schedule has murdered my play time haha

RESEARCH!!! :D

I'm writing a paper arguing for the digital preservation of video games in their playable state. One of the "pro" sides was going to be games as a representation of culture and history, so I was going to look at Never Alone and put some time in it so I could speak to atmosphere and such (the same apparently has an ongoing narrative in Inupiat). I also have a paper on Civilization 5 as representative of history but I haven't look at it yet. I'm still working out my points.

Since things like user made content and modding come up in talks about game preservation, I can bring in Skyrim and such as well.

I also thought of Metroid as being of note regarding preservation efforts, for the famous Samus reveal. That I am not personally familiar with but is does say a little that I know of it.

That sounds super cool! You know if you need more examples of preservation of culture there are some horror video games you can look at as well, like DreadOut and the new game Detention which look at horror in the setting of Indonesian and Taiwanese culture respectively. I wish you good luck on your paper I bet it will make a really good read. :)

KittyBeary 10-21-2017 12:27 AM

Oh no I'm addicted to Sims again. ;n;

Crowly 10-21-2017 01:50 AM

I've been playing Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, I enjoyed playing this game when I was a kid with my brother and mom.

A number of people in class are quite interested in what I come up with, which isn't at all pressuring! Finding the con points is what I'm working on, since there aren't too many that I can find apart from the whole "video games aren't (insert relevant classification here)" or the issues of controversial material. For instance, you could expect someone to have issues with a library holding copies of the GTA series in its collection.

Aw man I haven't played that in years. I should find a copy.

KittyBeary 10-23-2017 04:59 AM

I love replaying games I enjoyed as a kid. xD Especially King's Quest games. *~*

Quiet Man Cometh 10-23-2017 05:01 AM

The new Kings Quest is on steam and the first chapter, I believe, is free now. I hardly remember any of them except for 6 (I think) with Alexander and the Minotaur at one point. Very fairy tale like.

SparX 10-23-2017 07:15 PM

Been back to playing fallout 4 nonstop.
Truthfully I blame Espy for saying something about fallout elsewhere.

Scythe 10-24-2017 10:24 AM

Haven't played a game in a while, been doing some Freelance jobs after work or going out to grab a drink with friends.

Last game was World of Warships though.

Azu-kun 10-24-2017 10:45 AM

forgot last game I played, destiny 2 and assassins creed ezio collection

Isis 10-26-2017 01:43 PM

My brother bought Fire Emblem Warriors, and we've been playing it together. I really like to play Sakura, she's as strong as she was in Fates (that is to say, a complete world destroying beast). We've both been busy though so finding time to play together has been difficult :(

Umaeril 10-30-2017 01:12 PM

I've been playing ArcheAge and essentially am just grinding for mats. sigh. I need to get out and kill stuff.

SinX_franz 10-31-2017 10:58 AM

Aside from the usual mobile games I regularly play I continued playing Witcher 1 after pausing for a while due to the examinations two weeks ago. I also returned to playing Project Gorgon which surprised me as it is still up and running and a lot has been changed since the last time I played more than a year ago. For a game in a super alpha state, it's going to a nice direction. I hope the kickstarter goes well so that the team has funds to push the game further in development.

Grimalkin 11-06-2017 06:16 PM

I am still playing a butt ton of Skyrim, I will never tire of The Elder Scrolls. Also been revisiting my Tales of Berseria as well as Tales of Zestiria, love the Tales games. If my sister gives my Gamecube back I'll be replaying Tales of Symphonia. (I could just play it on the ps3 because I have the anniversary edition that also contains Tales of Symphonia:
Dawn of a New World but ehhh). Oh, and continuously kicking my little brothers arse on a silly Facebook game.

Yesssss Tales Of series games are awesome~
I love that they are multiplayer.
Have you played either of the phone games?

I started with Daggerfall but skipped Oblivion. I've ignored Skyrim lately, in favour of Guild Wars 2 and schoolwork. Last time I was in TES I decided to restart Morrowind (I'm finally over losing my game saves to a virus). I hop on Skyrim when I feel like working on my house (main quest and civil war are finished) or when Suze pesters me to try a mod and I finally acquiesce.

Elder Scrolls for life!

Skyrim for Switch this Friday!

Quiet Man Cometh 11-15-2017 12:22 AM

I keep seeing that!

I'm not even totally sure what a switch is, but I was highly amused by the Link skins I saw on a Skyrim character, Master Sword and all.

I must stick with but one game unit for now, and it will always, foremost, be a computer. My copy of Bloodborne remains neglected, and will be for some time more.

Nintendo's latest console, and the first Nintendo home console since the SNES to get significant traction with third-party developers.

The Switch's big feature, though, is the fact that it's not JUST a home console. It's called "Switch" because you can pick it up from its cradle and gameplay immediately jumps from your TV to the screen that's now in your hand, because it's also a portable.

In other words, for most Switch games, you can play at home on your awesome TV and then when you have to go you can take it with you. No need to leave Skyrim at home when you go out of town on vacation!
