The Game is about to begin. I will be allowing each group into my mansion in a staggered pattern throughout the day. Each group will be allowed to choose ONE room to start in, and will be given FOUR 'hint' items to use at their discretion.

You have one whole day to explore your first room, and decide who is going to be your team leader. If, at the end of today, I do not receive a PM from your Team Leader, I will appoint one for you, and PM them.

Your tools can be given to your members, but there is only one of each. This is what they do.

The Crow's Skull knows who was in what room. You may choose time-period, and ask who was in the room you are currently exploring during that time, or you may ask the Skull if a certain person was in a room during the day prior.

The Magnifying Glass can be used by a team to gain more insight and detail from an otherwise cryptic, or non-distinct clue.

The Wallet can be used to bribe an encountered member of my staff to tell you the entire truth about what they remember.

The Bone Treat can call my dobermans to sniff out a hidden or obscured clue, if you simply CANNOT find it on your own.

Each item may only be used once. If a team has less than four members - you may also take the Ghost Lantern, which will provide you with an interesting clue inside a room or area ONCE per room or area.

Additionally, if you can catch my Cheshire Pet in one of the rooms, you may ask him ONE yes-or-no question, to which he must answer truthfully. Careful, however - if you choose to catch him, your team will lose one of your hint items at random. He's a wily sort that loves to collect shiny objects.

These are the four hints I will give you at the start.

My lover always tells the truth. My staff cannot go into my chambers. There are members of my harem that are pathological liars. Not every creature is what it appears - nor every object.

After a brief consultation with my team, we tentatively decide to start in the kitchen. We file into the kitchen with me in the lead, really hoping to find Ari and save him from his weak WiFi fate.

The kitchen is an immense and beautiful place, with black and white marble floors, deep-black wooden paneling on the walls, and wide counter-tops done up in red and white flecked marble. The vast overhead lighting system leaves little to be desired in way of sight, and everything is clearly in plain view. There are also paintings on the walls, and a vast dining hall can be seen through a cut-out in the kitchen wall, nearby the archway that leads there.

There are several notes of interest in this room. There is a young lady in a red frock dress and black apron working at kneading some dough, dirty paw-prints on an otherwise sparkling clean floor, what look like some nachos on a warming plate on one of the stoves, and a knocked-over plant, which another person - this one a young man in all black - is slowly cleaning up.

What would team Pumpkin Patch like to do?
