My secret desire is to make all squishies my pets and give them coding to make them do tricks. I want to feed them delicious nutrients and pet them all day. I do know, out of experience, that most squishies are appalled by the idea of becoming a pet. So I suppose you are correct..it is nice to have a pet to a certain extent. One squishy is better than none.

I don't think humans come with warranties or spare parts, as much as they would desire the latter part. They sometimes give their own body parts to help the other to survive, but there are not many of these "donors" among their kind. However, I have heard the technologies are going onwards and soon they shall be able to grow spare parts in labs.

I know some squishies of human kind who are more than happy to be pets, but personally (then again, I am not human), I would not like to be pet of anyone. I like having my freedom and no owner. I like having friends, though, and if we look at if philosophically, it is even bigger attachment, closeness to one another, even power over the other to some extent.

Human squishiness is their downfall. This... squishy thing, sadly, cannot be mass-created, at least for now. Maybe one day they will. They say that in the future, many of human squishies shall fuse together with machines, become so called cyborgs, so to say. So, I guess the chosen ones of now shall take their victory in their own time.
In general, though, I do think that it is not so bad that they are each a little different and unique.

We have already done the first step - we have talked and, I think, found some common ground and spent good time (at least I did) together. Next step is repeating these actions till... well, emotions can be hardly explained, but friendship includes caring for the other, worrying for them (one factor from where comes the power over the other...), standing up for them when needed, liking to spend time with them and such. Being with your friend makes you happy.

Well, since we are inside within a world where these things are sometimes sorted a little different, people also do such things as "adding each other to their friend lists".
