Yes! Waddles is a great piggy ♥

XoGizmooX 04-29-2018 12:31 PM

Soo much posting I need to do

dragoness129 04-29-2018 12:52 PM

Same! Gotta get to it in between playing Monopoly with the girls. We are having a blast! ^_^

tsukiko 04-29-2018 01:43 PM

monopoly? like...real board game monopoly?!?!?

dragoness129 04-29-2018 01:51 PM

Yep! Though we are playing the computer version of it. We have that and The Game of Life through Steam.

Tam I am 04-29-2018 02:22 PM

Can anybody guess my favourite farm animal?

tsukiko 04-29-2018 02:31 PM

awwww....i was getting all excited that people actually played board games still T__T

and tammers, i would guess chooks xD <3

Tam I am 04-29-2018 02:38 PM

Yuuuup. I'll send you a berry for that.

dragoness129 04-29-2018 02:46 PM

We do play the board games too. We just don't have physical copies of those ones.
We have Wizardology, Clue, Careers, and the girls have Eggsplat.
I did have more board games before we lost them in the storage shed incident.
We also have a number of card games: Life, Uno, Scrabble Slam, and traditional cards.

Death by Mirrors 04-29-2018 03:17 PM

tsukiko, I'm also still playing traditional board games. Not as often as I'd like to, because it's hard to get a group together these times, but it's always great fun ^^

dragoness129 04-29-2018 03:37 PM

About to start playing the Wizardology one in a bit. ^_^

tsukiko 04-29-2018 03:58 PM

it's so hard to play board games...by yourself T___T

i have many many! like 70 or 80...plus at least 6 or 7 decks of cards (including baraja espanola, which i got i believe in madrid. it has fewer cards than a traditional deck) and lots of puzzles as well. least cards and puzzles i can do by myself xD

i recently, as in last sunday, got wizards wanted. it looks amazing! didn't even read what the premise was...just saw the cover art and the price of $12 instead of $36 xD i usually insist on being blue in any game, but i'm going to be the orange in this one...it's a girl riding a bear with her charm being a fox LOL! (close second is yellow, an asian girl with swords and her charm being a dragon)

here's a page that shows what it's about and close-up photos of the board/playing pieces

dragoness129 04-29-2018 04:30 PM

Ooooo, that sounds like a really cool board game! Gotta look that one up!

Den 04-29-2018 07:53 PM

I have Sushi, Go! and the Oregon Trail card games... When the OT one recommends at least 5 players, they aren't joking.

tsukiko 04-29-2018 09:09 PM

awwww i found sushi go at kohls on clearance, but i didn't have any money to get it :( made me super sad...lol! it looked really fun. i have exploding kittens though. kickstarted it so i have both the regular and mature decks and an epic meowing box to hold them in xD

i would say my favorite owned game would have to be this obscure one from the late 60s or early 70s called dragon master. it's a card based game with gems and awesome artwork. second fav would be the inventors, purely on the ridiculous dice rolling machine xD have had both those going on at least 15 years or longer...

dragoness129 04-29-2018 10:45 PM

I went to check out some of the board games on Amazon and am adding so many to my wishlist. Just gotta keep the list with me and keep an eye out whenever I can go into thrift stores. Otherwise I would not be able to afford all of them normally, lol. Gotta spend money on bills and such first.

KittyBeary 04-29-2018 10:47 PM

Amazon's killing me right now. ;_; Someone linked to the perfect Alice costume from a Disney cosplayers group on FB and I plan to save up for it so I can add Alice to my characters I do for parties(haven't been booked yet since I started this recently xD ) but argh I wish I could get it now LOL.

dragoness129 04-29-2018 11:00 PM

Very neat! Which Alice version is the costume?

tsukiko 04-29-2018 11:21 PM

amazon is a very dangerous place xD even though the sales aren't that great YET, you should keep an eye on toys r us. when serra and i went to the one in my town, they had loads of board games still. i don't think the website is part of the liquidation, so recommend going to a physical store to look.

dragoness129 04-29-2018 11:38 PM

I don't think there is one of those anywhere close to me. Plus I never liked going to that store when I lived down south because it was always way too overpriced in my opinion. Have not been in there in years though, so I don't know if that changed.

Den 04-30-2018 12:47 AM

I used to work for TRU, on the .Com side of things, as a call center lackey. holy fuck, grown-ass adults get NASTY over children's toys.

dragoness129 04-30-2018 01:30 AM

That doesn't surprise me. People can be really nasty over any thing, though it does seem to come out more over the phone in a lot of cases.

tsukiko 04-30-2018 09:45 AM

i doubt the prices have gotten better, dragoness. but least now that they are going out of business, they are starting to put their crap on sale xD

and as someone who has basically only worked customer service, adults can be nasty about anything. i've had people go ballistic about the stupidest things

dragoness129 04-30-2018 02:44 PM

Ah, sales are good. We have a store in the mall here going out of business called Bon-Ton, but the prices are still really crazy. I'll just wait until the sales get down to 70% off or more.

Yeah, I've worked mostly in customer service jobs myself.

XoGizmooX 04-30-2018 05:06 PM

Speaking of shopping I need to figure out what I want on Amazon with my $50 giftcard

tsukiko 04-30-2018 05:32 PM

lucky, gizz...i would have loved a usable giftcard or something for my birthday xD my mom sent me a Chili's giftcard, but my sister hates Chili's...so it's going to be months before i can use it :/

XoGizmooX 04-30-2018 05:38 PM

I also have a $10 Starbucks giftcard but I don't drink coffee :/

tsukiko 04-30-2018 05:49 PM

but they have sandwiches that are good xD

dragoness129 04-30-2018 07:04 PM

NICE! That is a nice amount of Amazon Gift card.
I don't drink coffee either, nor do I know of a Starbucks anywhere near here.

tsukiko 04-30-2018 07:21 PM

closest to me i know of is about 3 miles, across the street from my work. i don't go there though lol

Lee 04-30-2018 07:51 PM

I practically live at Starbucks some days. Mainly because, since I don't drive, I fit in around other schedules. They do way more than coffee drinks. They also have smoothies and slushies. One was unicorn themed and it tasted amazing. However, it did look like they threw a unicorn in the blender and added glitter.
