I guess you're not putting the bar in barnyard this time .
-Drops down, with an apron on, and his hands in gloves- Let's cook!
Alright!
The first one is a simple yet delicious dish that's called ants on a tree - don't ask me why though, because there sure aren't any ants going into our pots. You will need: a dash of soy sauce a packet of glass noodles (roughly 3.5 oz/100g) 17.5 oz/500g of minced meat one bell pepper one scallion a teaspoon of sambal oelek (can be substituted with chilis instead if you're not able to get some) Chop the scallion and the bell pepper. Cook the glass noodles in a pot with water until they're soft. While they're cooking, roast the minced meat in a pan together with soy sauce. *looks at Strider* Got it so far? Then you add scallion, bell pepper and noodles. Stir a few times, add the sambal and stir again. Should feed roughly three people, and you can also heat up leftovers later. |
....Oh wow. I can actually make that when I'm at my parents' place.
I love it because it's fairly quick and simple, yet doesn't taste plain. It's one of my go-to recipes when I crave a good, uncomplicated meal.
me - googles glass noodles
realizes there`s no wiki in Portuguese cries then realizes it`s another name for harusame oh. |
...Isn't it basically vermicelli?
...Oh wait, googled and it's a little different. Well, p sure I can still use vermicelli. |
I don't know where to get all those things, but someone dropped them off, so... Yeah! I got that all! -Rubs hands- What's next?
My mom said glass noodles are made of beans and transparent. rice noodles are white even after cooked |D but the internet says they`re interchangeable in most recipes.
one easy recipe with rice noodles is just mix it with egg and ham. and spices, of course, if you`re civilized. |
I feel like glass noodles aren't as chewy as vermicelli, which is why I like the latter better.

Huh. We must be having different types of glass noodles, then.
Well, this time we provide the ingredients. You can start buying your own once you enjoy cooking ^^
*shows Strider step by step how to prepare a delicious meal* @noodles I like both rice noodles and glass noodles, but in my opinion it really depends on the recipe. |
glass noodles my mom does iced (frozen? cold? what's the right word) with vinegar and sugar.
I have to admit I can't imagine that being delicious ^^; frozen noodles with vinegar and sugar sounds plain weird.
ahaha it's not frozen it's just cold xD
it's good. Kinda like the Japanese recipe sunomono but with less cucumber and more noodles. |
-Drops in with cookies he baked himself, and a bottle of sparkling juice-
You excel in ambition, young padawan. Keep going like this and there's not much I can teach you anymore ^^
Never had sunomono, but it does look nice on pictures. Maybe I'll try the recipe. |
This bar/culinary school is going great xD
Yeah. Have you tried Strider's cookies? They're delicious.
So what are you cooking next, mdom? |
I uh, washed the dishes today. So I can do that here.
...Someone mentioned cookies, so here I am.
Brilliant, doing the dishes is just as important as the cooking work. Or else you'll soon have no tools left to cook with.
Yup, we have cookies! *lets Drifter taste some* |
...!! -nibbles tentatively-
I... I don’t usually have sweet stuff. |
I could get used to this sweet stuff.
Where... where does your food even go?
That's one of the last few remaining mysteries of mankind.
Maybe your bones can absorb nutrients!
Well, technically the drider part has all intestines...
...But it still has to somehow make its way /to/ the drider part.
Gravity.
wait so food just freefalls between a dreleton’s mouth and drider parts?

Science is meant to be weird!
Exactly.
as weird as a half skeleton half spider can be. or more.
Nah, in a world where unicorns ride pegasuses any half spider half skeleton being is pretty much common.
I feel called out D:

Funny random fact: We have a game show that is completely based around people who claim to be able to do a certain thing (eg. name each different brand of crispbread based solely on the sound it makes when being eaten) and then have to prove it in the show. There's always a couple of these contestants plus one bet that goes to the moderator.
That bet is chosen by the viewers between three possibilities and always works like "We bet you are not able to ___ by the time the show ends". Once a suggested possibility was "We bet you are not able to get a carriage into the show where the horse is sitting in it and the coachman pulls the cart." Sadly it wasn't picked as that episode's bet. I would've loved to see that. |
I WOULD'VE LOVED TO SEE THAT TOO!!!
I bet you can't find an online pic (not made by you) of a half skeleton/half spider |
