@CodaHighland: I'm salty.
@CodaHighland: And so is my dinner.
@CodaHighland: My salt grinder exploded while I was trying to season it. >_<
@TheBiggerFish: Oof
@TheBiggerFish: Also oh god stealth pun
@CodaHighland: That's stealth...?
@TheBiggerFish: Yes. Because you only revealed it was a pun after you made it.
@CodaHighland: Seems we have differing definitions of what constitutes a stealth pun.
@TheBiggerFish: Like, the context for its punniness was only obvious after you said the thing.
@CodaHighland: Yeah, but that was part of the initial delivery. A stealth pun to me is one that doesn't look like it was meant to be a pun.
@Snowfire: @CodaHighland it appears that your definition is on some shaky ground
@Snowfire: Ba-dum-tiss
@CodaHighland: See, THAT'S a stealth pun. XD
@CodaHighland: ... oh geez there's TWO of them. XD Well done
@Snowfire: Seems highly in need of some good resolution
@CodaHighland: Blah, my stomach isn't totally happy now... I tried my best to scoop out all of the excess salt. But there was still a bit too much.
@Snowfire: <3
@CodaHighland: ... Another one? XD
@Snowfire: The solution's quite basic
@CodaHighland: Ba-tums-dish?
@Snowfire: Bad tum's dish
@CodaHighland: Oh, because Tums are basic. Also they relieve upset digestion. It's pretty good advice really, I'll go get some.
@Snowfire: I mean, the real way to deal with the mineral problem is to dissociate.
@Snowfire: It's just too neutral otherwise.
@CodaHighland: Keeping my ion you...
@Snowfire: Be careful with that gaze, you never know when it might turn charming. It's quite strange.
@CodaHighland: Quarky humor there
@Snowfire: Can never know when your bottom is up
@CodaHighland: I'll come out on top
@Snowfire: Then fall down
@Snowfire: Off the planck, as they say
@CodaHighland: Can't you just feel the chemistry in this channel?
@Snowfire: There's a lot of momentum
@CodaHighland: A few light jokes and we're all racing off
@Snowfire: Just keeps on accelerating
@CodaHighland: c what I mean?
@Snowfire: That was just tachyon'd
@Snowfire: (tacked on)
@CodaHighland: (oh, thought you were saying it was tacky)
@Snowfire: That too :V
@CodaHighland: Little too fast there
@Snowfire: Just add more power
@CodaHighland: Watt?
@Snowfire: Ohmy
@CodaHighland: I must resist!
@Snowfire: I feel like the mechanics here are getting a little too complicated.
@Snowfire: But we're just in such a super position
@Snowfire: Have to be careful though
@Snowfire: It might collapse
@CodaHighland: What, coming out of left field? That's out of hand.
@Snowfire: We are both going to hell for this
@CodaHighland: We should have the channel vote to see who won in an electron.
@CodaHighland: Hell? That's plane wrong.
@Nero: expires
@CodaHighland: Spoiled.
@CodaHighland: Do you mind if I share the transcript with the puns thread on another site?
@Snowfire: Do it
@Snowfire: Just remember to keep it all together.
@Snowfire: The exchange was so charged it might just fly apart
@CodaHighland: Come now, we're on the same side and you aren't repelling me.
@Snowfire: This seems to be quite the polarising topic
@Snowfire: Might want to alternate instead of being so direct
@Snowfire: Then again, you can always volt against that sort of thing.
@CodaHighland: Currently I'm just formatting the logs
@CodaHighland: Coming down to the wire, as it were
@CodaHighland: If I transform it right I can amp it up
@Snowfire: Then fire off a whole battery at once.
@CodaHighland: That's a positive idea
@Snowfire: Even if it's transistory.
@TheBiggerFish: Shocking.
@CodaHighland: It's worth the switch
@Snowfire: Seems rather physical
@Snowfire: Wouldn't want to force the issue
@CodaHighland: I'll touch base with the collector.
@CodaHighland: It's dope.
@Snowfire: What about the potential?
@CodaHighland: I'm just hoping for an equal reaction.
@CodaHighland: The thread should appreciate the new ton of jokes.
@Snowfire: Be careful with the mass transfer
@Snowfire: Wouldn't want it to be too aggressive
@Snowfire: These are weighty matters, after all.
@CodaHighland: I'm a good driver. I won't go off the rails.
@Snowfire: It's better to keep a few ounces of sense on your side
@Snowfire: The scales would tip over otherwise
@CodaHighland: I'm American. If I need a pound of cents I'll need you to send them.
@Snowfire: Eu'ro it
@CodaHighland: You can put it on my bill; I'm not a quack
@Snowfire: I'm sure we can find a way to some sort of equivalent exchange

True story here:

Went to the dentist this morning to have a deep cleaning.

They had country music playing. It should have been The Weeknd.

Because I can't feel my face.

If you try to outrun a car, you're going to get tired.

If you try to chase one, though, you're going to get exhausted.

Claptrap 11-12-2018 09:26 PM

I got to use the whiteboard at work today, I found the whole thing to be quite re-markable.

Coda 11-12-2018 11:11 PM

I prefer Sharpies. That's just an experience that can't be erased.

Stabbsworth 11-18-2018 06:14 PM

i regret making this entire thread.

GhostAsh 11-24-2018 03:44 PM

I don't think I'm all that punny, but I also like to think my puns are on a HOLE other level~ Eh? Eh? :s-grin:

Coda 11-24-2018 07:10 PM

I think you need to keep digging, GhostAsh.

I've got some dirt on the story from a mole. It's a real grassroots kind of thing, still underground. I'm worried some reputations will be soiled.

I'm glad someone heard something about the story, because unlike you and the mole, I didn't see this whole thing coming. It was almost like I was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Coda 11-25-2018 09:24 PM

The best solution for that is an electric guitar so you can rock out.

GhostAsh 11-25-2018 09:54 PM

That sounds like a shocking experience. I might stick with something with a little less spark, like Guitar Hero, but G, I guess I can't handle the heat.

Coda 11-26-2018 02:33 PM

I mean, you might think it's hot, but I really don't want to see your G string.

i have realized that i am an awful, awful person by creating this thread.

a french skeleton says bone-jour, by the way.

Coda 12-04-2018 07:53 PM

That's funny, because I have a French poodle with a bone appetite.

Did you know the difference between a cat tower and a baby butterfly is one is a cat pillar and the other is a caterpillar.

So you're saying... the difference between a scratching post and a butterfly larva is "er".

A man was once employed as a building painter. To try to save money and make his paint go farther, he would thin it down with turpentine.

The baptist church needed repainted, and this painter was able to offer to do the job for less cost than any of his competitors, so he got the job.

It was a clear day with a blue sky, and he brought his ladders and his brushes and his paint and, of course, his turpentine. But the church was larger than he thought, and he didn't think he would have enough paint, so he mixed even more thinner into it. He painted and painted, and he was up on the ladder to finish the steeple when suddenly clouds rolled in and rain poured down.

All of the thinned-out paint washed off the walls, and a clap of thunder knocked him off the ladder down into the puddles.

The painter realized this was a warning from God, so he cried out, "Forgive me, please, Lord! What should I do?"

A voice boomed out from the clouds.

"Repaint! Repaint, and thin no more!"

Merskelly Metalien 01-05-2019 11:56 PM

My friend asked me if I could dance.
I told her,
;D "I sure can-can!"
...I'm not funny. X]

Coda 01-08-2019 10:27 PM

That's actually a pretty good one. XD

Coda 01-24-2019 11:51 PM

You're traveling at the speed of light in a twin-propeller jet. Suddenly, one of the wings falls off of your canoe. How many pancakes does it take to shingle the roof of a doghouse?

The world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make is taking a stroll down his local high street.

As he passes by the record shop, a sign catches his eye. 'Just Released - New LP -Wasps of Europe & the sounds that they make - available now!'

Unable to resist the temptation, the man goes into the shop.

'I am the world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make. I'd very much like to listen to the new LP you have advertised in the window.'

'Certainly, Sir,' says the young man behind the counter. 'If you'd like to step into the booth and put on the headphones, I'll put the LP on for you.'

The world expert on European wasps goes into the booth and puts on the earphones. Ten minutes later, he comes out of the booth and announces, 'I am the world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make and yet I recognised none of those.'

'I'm sorry Sir', says the young assistant. 'If you'd care to step into the booth, I can let you have another 10 minutes.'

The world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make steps back into the booth and replaces the headphones.

Ten minutes later, he comes out of the booth shaking his head. 'I don't understand it', he says, 'I am the world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make, and yet I still can't recognise any of those!'

'I'm terribly sorry, Sir' says the young man, 'perhaps if you'd like to step into the booth again, you could have 5 more minutes.'

Sighing, the world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make steps back into the booth. Five minutes later, he comes out again, clearly agitated.

'I am the world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make and yet I have recognised none of the wasps on this LP.'

'I really am terribly sorry', says the young assistant,

'I've just realised I was playing you the bee side.'

<x'} oh...hahaha! Wowwww! That was good.

So Julius Caesar is walking along with his Senators in tow.
They are on their way to look at the various fountains and statues and temples,
with Julius deciding that things around the empire could look better than they were.

Six days later...

Three senators came to him with their masters of construction and design.
The first presented an master architect with a brand new innovative design for a fountain that uses wine instead of water.
"Does this please you Caesar?" the senator asked.
Julius Caesar just squinted at the design and shook his head. "No."
The second senator with a well respected ship captain was called in next.
He had suggested a larger and grander marina with a pier to fill up the coast full of naval military vessels.
"Does this please you Caesar?"
Again, Julius just sighed and crossed his arms. "No, no."
The third senator called in, presented his master sculptor to carve and put together an enormous bridge depicting the famous battles of the past on it's massive sides for all to see.
"Does this please you Caesar?"
Julius Caesar just stood up and waved his arms displeased.
"No no no. I'm not looking to start such enormous outlandish projects! I'm just needing a little Rome improvement."

(I'm sorry. X'D)
