Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 10:58 AM

my brother has hay fever.

trystan830 09-16-2019 11:02 AM

allergies are certainly no fun. bleh

Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 11:03 AM

so i've heard.

knowing me, i'd still drink lactose-based products if i had an intolerance to lactose.

trystan830 09-16-2019 11:16 AM

i mean, i think my body doesn't like tooooo much dairy,so i try not to overdo it, but i do know what you mean.

Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 11:16 AM

i like milkshakes a lot. i think my mum has a mild intolerance to it.

Witchchylde 09-16-2019 11:17 AM

Oh yeah, digging the animated unboxing sequence!

trystan830 09-16-2019 11:19 AM

the unboxing sequence was cool the first time i saw it. it's like the opening sequence for a tv show - seen it once, skips it all the other times. (i mean... i don't do that....)

Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 11:23 AM

ngl, i sort of skip the unboxing sequence. i'll probably properly watch it at some point. :0

Witchchylde 09-16-2019 11:51 AM

I must be too easily entertained, I'm more inclined to watch it every time.

Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 11:58 AM

seen it. it does its job. :0

trystan830 09-16-2019 11:59 AM

eh, it's fine. it does remind me of tv show opening sequences though. i watch them once per season. XD

Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 12:00 PM

*shrugs*

have you seen that dark crystal prequel series?

trystan830 09-16-2019 12:02 PM

not yet!

i'm conflicted about it, as i know how it has to end.... y'know?

Witchchylde 09-16-2019 12:02 PM

Is that a Netflix show? I guess I need to re-up my subscription, I'm missing too many cool things.

Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 12:04 PM

yeah, it's a netflix show. if i do get a trial account on netflix at some point, i might stream it.

ngl, it is quite nice that they're explaining some of the lore behind the original Dark Crystal tbh. i remember watching the movie, and i've watched it fairly recently round my sister's, along with the first episode of the series.

trystan830 09-16-2019 12:08 PM

yeah, that's why i do want to watch it - it's longer than the movie, so there's time for more stuff to be in it. and even though i juuuust watched the orginal movie (over the summer) i do want to rewatch it again too.

Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 12:12 PM

i'm a sucker for lore-based stuff.

Witchchylde 09-16-2019 12:18 PM

It would be nice to see a whole civilization of Gelflings, instead of the straggling last remnants of their race.

Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 12:19 PM

admittedly, yeah.

Merskelly Metalien 09-16-2019 12:20 PM

8} *saw the whole series and is struggling not to spoil anything*
mm-...kg-...gth-...hs-...gn-..
Hup! <X'} <3

trystan830 09-16-2019 12:21 PM

yep *nods* i should watch the movie again, then the series.

after my current show....

Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 12:21 PM

i'm all up for spoilers, y'know? just stick it under a spoiler bar, though.

Witchchylde 09-16-2019 12:23 PM

Oh yeah, I got a dual pack a few years back that had Dark Crystal and Labyrinth bundled together! Separate boxes, but a perfect double feature set up!

Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 12:25 PM

heck yeah.
mum's pretty sure they reused Aughra's puppet for the lady with the fuckin hoard of items.

Merskelly Metalien 09-16-2019 12:29 PM

8) *inhale*

x']

trystan830 09-16-2019 12:45 PM

oh i love Labyrinth.

David Bowie helps. ;)

Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 12:46 PM

labyrinth has some good shit.

trystan830 09-16-2019 12:47 PM

yes... yes it does

Witchchylde 09-16-2019 12:54 PM

I know I've always wanted to try that thing with the rotating crystal balls, but, my fingers are too short and stubby for that.

trystan830 09-16-2019 12:56 PM

yeah, i can't really do that either

Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 01:10 PM

i can only juggle two balls.

Espy 09-16-2019 01:23 PM

My hands are also too small to pull that trick off, but I used to be able to juggle three.

Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 01:26 PM

can't do three. i've attempted it before.

trystan830 09-16-2019 02:05 PM

i can't juggle. i mean, i used to be able to juggle schedules and stuff, but not so much any more. XD

Merskelly Metalien 09-16-2019 02:23 PM

:D Ooh, for that ball rotating thing, try working with the Chinese bell balls! I used to play with those when I was young. They're like in the labyrinth but there's only two, and they're not crystal clear, but they make gentle bell sounds. I think they're supposed to represent the supernatural balance and battle between the Tiger and the Phoenix. :] There should be some in a size that's comfortable for tiny hands like mine.

i have a pair of these actually. these i can move around in my hand. :)

Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 02:28 PM

ooh. i vaguely wish i could get a video of the technique tbh.

trystan830 09-16-2019 02:31 PM

see if this link works for you: http://youtu.be/caJCwqGKRCY

i can do like it's shown at the very beginning, and then again at like :34 in, until there's a third one in there.....

Stabbsworth 09-16-2019 02:34 PM

i am vaguely sad for some reason and do not want to be sad.
emotions are stupid.

also, i'll check it out later (probably).

trystan830 09-16-2019 02:35 PM

aw, don't be sad.... :(
