Here's an ace one that I think describes it fairly well:

Coda 10-28-2019 07:25 PM

Huh... It's cute, but I know several ace people who would find that offensive. "Maybe you just haven't found the right person yet" appears to really upset some people.

I do HAVE a libido. It's not especially strong, but it exists. (It's stronger now that I'm in my late 30s than it was when I was in my late teens/early 20s... Not sure what to make of that. Hope it doesn't imply anything I should be concerned about medically.) But even so I can't really grok the reactions I see in other people.

Den 10-28-2019 07:29 PM

People are confusing.

Merskelly Metalien 10-28-2019 07:33 PM

Can totally relate with Espy. <x} I have a strong feeling that sex is actually really overrated, and totally unnecessary. >u> I'd rather be sharing a cinnamon roll.

Never got how people just somehow started getting those feelings when puberty hit. :[ I was around mostly girls, but guys in summer school too. And I didn't really want to have anything to do with either. *shrug* <.<

Most of my classmates had boyfriends and lost their virginities pretty quick. I asked them, "why you like him?" and they'd usually answer with, "he's hot/cute." or "I just do." <x} When I saw them with their boyfriends at prom, I didn't really get it. :/ They were just guys. That's how guys look like. *shrug* But, okay? <x} I never got those feelings. :/

I had a blind date for prom, and he was pretty cool. :] I liked how he was pursuing tattoo art, and was a decent dancer. But that's about it. Not that he wasn't attractive, he probably was..? I think? :/ I just saw him as a possible friend. <u<; I don't have many of those that are male...actually none. :/ Damn...I'd like a cool guy friend who doesn't fall in love with me. ;-; But still likes me enough to bug me..

People ARE confusing. <:{

Kitalpha Hart 10-28-2019 08:00 PM

She covers a lot of variety, so what some don't like others resonate with
This, for instance, is the most recent Aces Wild comic

Ava 10-29-2019 12:52 AM

Hey friends!

I'm more of an ally, I think.
I don't know where I fall on the spectrum. :(
I'm more sexually attracted to women, but not romantically attracted to women....
I'm more romantically attracted to men, but not really sexually attracted to them....

I find sex with women to be much more pleasurable vs. sex with men??

I don't feel like "bisexual" is the label for me because I'm not romantically attracted to women, only sexual...
But again, not sexually attracted to men?

CONFUSE!!!

Kitalpha Hart 10-29-2019 12:56 AM

Your sexual and romantic orientations are different? You can use queer to not need to give an essay
Or use the SAM (Split Attraction Model)
Idk your gender, going off your avi for this, but with the SAM you can go by homosexual hereromantic

Ava 10-29-2019 01:47 AM

I'm definitely going to check out that SAM. :o
ANd I'm cis female. c:

Kitalpha Hart 10-29-2019 02:03 AM

So yeah, if you do use it to go by what you said you're homosexual heteromantic
Many aces on the one discord server I'm on use it, so I've seen greyace biromantic and other such orientations, and there's nothing that says your sexual and romantic orientations must match

Espy 10-29-2019 03:13 AM

There are a LOT of ace people who aren’t aromantic, and a lot of het folx who are panromantic...

I think I used to be more demi, but of recent years, I’ve slid even further towards ace. Could be my meds. Not that it matters.

Stabbsworth 10-29-2019 10:23 AM

meds do sometimes decrease libido, from what i've heard.

i mean, it's possible that you could be bisexual biromantic, but with a heavy sexual preference for women and with a heavy romantic preference to men.

there's also nonbinary people, and bisexual people can be attracted to them too.

Merskelly Metalien 10-29-2019 12:06 PM

>w> I sometimes find myself looking at muscular people, but only because

1. I wanna be strong like them with some build, but not that much build.

2. I admire how hard they must work to maintain their health.

and 3. I picture them looking like an epic statue, with kittens or something delicate in a balanced harmony. OR with another jacked person like a rival beast! >:D

Den 10-29-2019 07:44 PM

NGL, there's aesthetics and such that make me go "Ooo, they're pretty". be it male, female, nonbinary, or any combination of the above. but that's just aesthetics, and what I find visually pleasing to me. like, Angelina Jolie? she's got very distinctive and somewhat strong facial features. She's pretty, but when she is in her Maleficent look? Hot Damn. Really draws my attention that way. for guys.. Brendan Fraiser comes to mind, but less of a "Hot Damn" reaction and more of a "I want to give him a hug and hang out with him as a friend" reaction. >.> that's kinda my reaction to most guys who I know are "safe" to be around.

On occasion, that overlaps with a "Hot Damn" reaction, but it takes a very specific set of facial features. Very expressive eyes and eyebrows, kind of a roughed-up look to the guy's face, like he's been through some shit, a distinctive nose, pretty full lips, a full beard... doesn't necessarily have to have a strong jaw, and actually, the less 'strong' the jaw, the better, imo. an example, even though he's not a real, flesh-and-blood person? Caleb Widowgast from Critical Role, or Fjord from the same show. both of them have very expressive faces, though Fjord's got a stronger jawline than Caleb. Mollymauk Tealeaf would also be a good example.

A good example of "I want to hug him and hang out with him"? Caduceus Clay from Critical Role. though a lot of that reaction to him is due to his personality, enough of it is related to his appearance that I feel it fits.

It's a similar reaction I get with Jester Lavorre, also from Critical Role, because she just comes across as someone who would be nice to hug. Beauregard Lionett (despite the name, Beau is female) and Yasha both fall more into the "Hot Damn" categories, because they both have strong, distinctive features. Yasha also falls into the "hug" category. it's harder for me to find IRL examples of the "hug" category for ladies, tbph.

Stabbsworth 10-29-2019 07:59 PM

ngl, i think it depends more on how people act for me? like, if you're generally nice to me or somewhat decent, then i'll probably feel a mild attraction.

me, my whole life, which has lead to constant disappointment

Unicornlynn 10-29-2019 10:31 PM

Guys so I love you all how you all are. You guys are great. You know I really didn’t think this many people would actually answer. I usually get teased or made fun off for admitting I and bisexaly.

That explains why you like my art :|

Merskelly Metalien 10-29-2019 11:07 PM

<x'3 Espy, you've combined the rivalry thing with flippin' robotics n' cool mechanical sh*t and now I can't NOT like it!

Kitalpha Hart 10-29-2019 11:38 PM

Same artist for Pixie and Brutus, too

Merskelly Metalien 10-30-2019 12:12 AM

Augh! Pixie and Brutus are so wholesome! <x'{ <3 I can't believe I didn't recognize the style!

Ava 10-30-2019 12:14 AM

The labels get so confusing!

When people ask me, "so... are you lesbian or bisexual?"
My response is always, "I'm *something*sexual"

Merskelly Metalien 10-30-2019 12:17 AM

<:3 You're beauty-sexual Ava. *hands the Ava a soft rose that smells like the ghost of Christmas past*

Ava 10-30-2019 12:23 AM

Oooo!

That's the perfect label!
YES! I am *beauty*sexual ;D

edit; Also, roses remind me of home!
I used to have a little pink rosebush in my front yard as a kid

Kitalpha Hart 10-30-2019 12:23 AM

You can always say that you're questioning

i'll defenestrate those people for a dollar / pound / whatever currency you're currently using.

Merskelly Metalien 10-30-2019 04:20 PM

Dollar. :] Since Ava is in Cali.
How many Dollars = a Pound btw? o.o

Stabbsworth 10-30-2019 04:25 PM

i don't know, and i don't particularly care about currency conversion because it's highly unlikely that i'll be able to fly around the world, y'know?

google is your friend.

littl3chocobo 10-30-2019 04:32 PM

that's a bit rough XD

it's generally 3/4ths of a pound for a us dollar

Stabbsworth 10-30-2019 04:34 PM

look, if you expect me to be able to take a holiday on minimum wage in this economy, you're sorely mistaken. /j

in all seriousness, it would be nice if i could get a few of my friends over here, since we've still got universal healthcare.

Coda 10-30-2019 06:00 PM

1 British pound is currently about US $1.29.

Stabbsworth 10-30-2019 06:01 PM

pretty sure the exchange rates dropped since the whole brexit thing.

I'm sorry that you have had that happen to you in the past. No matter what, you are valid.

littl3chocobo 10-30-2019 07:10 PM

thanks for confirming what i already said an hour and a half after i said it, coda. 7__7;;;;

Merskelly Metalien 10-30-2019 07:13 PM
