Yeah, I do too, but that's the only one I could think of atm. I suppose there's also Roliava, but that's so unorganized.

Nightmare 06-30-2011 08:11 PM

I just hate how it wasn't updated for like ... a year. :U
That and the layering doesn't work right on there compared to gaia.

Demo 06-30-2011 10:43 PM

A dream avvie creator would be awesome! Though the layering would take a lot of time to get working right possibly. The dream avatar maker made by subetahq.com for the site subeta would be a really good example to base one off of since they have the same layering system. : )

Fenris 07-01-2011 07:06 AM

An unlimited layering system like ours. From what I know, is actually easier to code than a limited layering system. Why no site has done unlimited before us? I don't know, I jumped on the idea when I thought it up xD

Moonless Midnight 07-01-2011 07:32 AM

It's easier to do an unlimited layering system?

Fenris 07-01-2011 07:55 AM

Last time I talked to coda about it he said yes. Its been awhile. But think of it like this...

limiting = assigning items a layer to work with only
limiting = means items can only occupy layers they are designated.

etc etc etc

Moonless Midnight 07-01-2011 07:56 AM

Oh, and limitless you don't have to do that >.> I guess that would make it easier.

Btw love your new look ^_^

Coda 07-01-2011 11:04 AM

Fen does remember what I said correctly, although there is one thing an unlimited layering system like ours has trouble with: While our kind of system can put a layer anywhere you want, it gets really clumsy to let an item have more than two layers. A system that doesn't allow customized layering can give items as many layers as necessary and has direct control over how things stack together, so you can make sure the result looks good even if it's more work on the developers to do it. It's a tradeoff.

Edit: For example, we have to take really special care with things like weapons -- they might not layer right with certain kinds of gauntlets or cloaks no matter how the user organizes things. A system that doesn't allow the user to customize it can chop the parts up to make sure it always works right.

Moonless Midnight 07-01-2011 12:01 PM

Well there are pros and cons to everything I guess.

Coda 07-01-2011 12:10 PM

Yep, there are. Now, we have plans for dealing with this using our system, but for now we're just making sure we make the items work.

Demo 07-01-2011 12:56 PM

Well Trisphee is actually the second site that I know of to have an unlimited layering system. The first site is Subeta's avatar system. And honestly I don't know why other sites go through the trouble of not doing it.

Fenris 07-01-2011 04:39 PM

Though that being said we are still looking into image cropping for hats on hair to start with.

Demo 07-01-2011 06:59 PM

YESSSSS! You don't know how many times I have been on there and had that problem. Its' why I never wear hats on there XP That would be an awesome thing to do.

Shirelin 07-01-2011 11:56 PM

I think it would be an awesome idea to eventually do, so that users can have a gathered location for past items. Being new, I have not the faintest idea what pretty items came before my joining. It would definitely come in handy for quests.

Athilea Majiri 07-04-2011 11:49 AM

I hope there is one as well. It would make it easier to plan avatars.

Ladyduet 07-14-2011 07:17 PM

I love the idea of a Dream avatar creator but I also understand why it may take some time to see one. Personally I dont mind the trade off because it allows for better avi this way in my opinion

Despe 07-17-2011 05:22 PM

A dream avatar creator would be a nice tool. I usually look for one when I join (and most of the sites I'm active on have a creator :o)

Nommy 07-20-2011 07:44 PM

hope someone is creating one so i know which items i want to buy and wear ~

Lucid: 07-20-2011 07:58 PM

oh that's easy. you want ALL OF THEM.

Coda 07-20-2011 08:03 PM

Lucid, why don't you show them what it looks like when you wear ALL OF THEM? :D

Lucid: 07-20-2011 08:06 PM

o3o EVERY ITEM EVER?
but I don't have every common. ;O; only most of them. I'm missing a few, like...uh...the patch dress. and some hair. that might be it, aside from collecting every color too.....

Coda, why do you plant such ideas in my mind! Inception isn't fair!
**flees to go wear every item I own**

Espy 07-20-2011 08:08 PM

-tempted to wear every DI/EI/SpI she has now-

Lucid: 07-20-2011 08:52 PM

I look like barf. :D
Every common, special, event, and DI I own. multiple poses of some, too. |D you can't even see most of the items.

Edit;; woah. not cool. I had so many items on, the editor didn't save a bunch of them! D8
Coda, is there a limit to how many items can be worn at once? I threw on more items, waited a decent bit, and saved. but my avi won't save more than however many items this is 469 items, give or take a few because I am NOT re-counting them.

Coda 07-20-2011 09:36 PM

There's not an IMPLEMENTED limit but I'm guessing you ran the editor out of memory. ^^() Maybe I should PUT a hard limit of 400 layers in, just to avoid this problem. ^^()

Lucid: 07-20-2011 09:48 PM

I win at finding fun Trisphee quirks? 8D

Fenris 07-20-2011 09:49 PM

One sentance...thats all this needs.

Leave it to Lucid

Coda 07-20-2011 09:50 PM

Okay, you're wearing 437 items, 33 of which are two-layer, plus your base (not that it's visible), so that's 471 layers.

Lucid: 07-20-2011 09:56 PM

I'm glad you counted that before I ripped all the back-layer items off. Thanks!
(I can has "Break Trisphee" achievement nao? XD )

Coda 07-20-2011 10:09 PM

Nuuuuu, not adding that achievement, too many people would try to get it!

Lucid: 07-20-2011 10:16 PM

darn. that would be a perfect achievement for me.

Aenith 07-04-2014 12:01 AM

I would love that. Then I wouldn't waste any money! XD
