((So, let's time skip to morning I suppose?))

As they always say, early bird gets the worm. And as if it were any morning, Sayaku was certainly an early bird. Sitting up when the sun just barely started to filter into the window, a yawn escaped his lips as he rose from bed, sitting up and rubbing his eyes wearily. Morning meant a new day was ahead, and this was one he was definitely looking forward to.

Deciding to make good use of his time, he got out of bed and looked blankly at the blankets. When had he had a blanket on? Then again, Sayaku barely remembered when he fell asleep. He stretched his arms as he dug through his bags right after, taking out a clean set of clothes and making his way with them into the shower. He turned the water on easily, using mostly cold water for reason unknown to most. Then, without haste, he cleaned himself and made sure he was properly dressed before leaving. He looked around the room wearily, while also seeing if Oliver had woken up while he was showering.

Honor 03-05-2011 12:13 AM

Olivia opened her eyes to an unfamiliar room. She blinked a few times in confusion before her memory resurfaced and she realized where she was and why. Sitting up, she looked down at Saya's bunk. He was already awake.

Sleepily she got down from her bunk and began to rummage through her bag for an outfit to wear. Man, she missed girls clothing. Not that she had ever been one to wear skirts and frilly dresses all the time she did appreciated the more feminine looking styles out there. All this aside, she chose and outfit and pulled it from her bad just as Saya exited the bathroom. "Morning." She called to him cheerily.

((indeed ^^))

Juneberry 03-05-2011 12:19 AM

"Mornin'. Sleep well?" He put his dirty clothes into a bag that he found on his bed, then placed it in a corner right near the bed. Taking a look through his belongings, he checked his schedule to see what he would need to take that morning to the first day of classes.

He began to set things out on his bed, looking over at Oliver. "We have time before classes, but I think it might be a good idea to give ourselves time to figure out the building just to be safe. What's your first class? Maybe it's near mine so we can just go together... Oh wait. Where do we go for breakfast again?"

Honor 03-05-2011 12:28 AM

"I did, thanks." She said, giving him a smile. She pulled her scheduled from her bag and looked at it. "I have English first, you? And we in the cafeteria which I think is somewhere around the the middle of the campus. Now hold that thought for a second." She said then disappeared into the bathroom.

She changed, brushed her hair and teeth, and splashed water on her face in all under two minutes. As soon as she was done she excited the bathroom and sat down. "Okay," She said signaling she was done.

Juneberry 03-05-2011 12:42 AM

"I've never seen anyone, and I mean anyone, change and get ready that fast." He had nearly dropped his jaw in surprise, but shook it off quite quickly as he looked at his own schedule. "I also have English, in room 103... The teacher is Schalanger?" He looked at the name blankly, trying to figure out how one would say that name.

"Oh, okay. So it's in the center of the campus... Well, today's gonna be one hefty day of exploring it seems like." He chuckled. "What English class are you in? Are you also in Schalanger's?"

((I made that name off the top of my head so it's a tad strange. Sorry xD))

Honor 03-05-2011 12:58 AM

Olive laughed. "I have five sisters remember? Bathroom time is limited at best in my house." She said with a laugh. Not to mention most of her time in the bathroom dealt with doing her hair and make-up, things she didn't have to worry about here.

She looked at her schedule again. "Yup, looks like we have first period together. That's good, at least we'll know one other person." She very glad she had made Saya as a friend, being alone would be terrifying. Rummaging through her stuff she collected the things she needed and placed them in her shoulder pack. "I'm ready whenever you are."

Juneberry 03-05-2011 04:19 PM

"I wouldn't really know what that's like, having so many sisters at one point. I find my one sister to be plenty." Sayaku chuckled, finishing putting his in a pile and slinging his guitar over his back. He took his books into his arms and forced them in an extra pack, carrying it in one hand. "Let's get going then, if you're ready too. A good breakfast should be a great way to start the day."

Honor 03-05-2011 08:18 PM

Olivia grinned. "I hope they have waffles..." She said dreamily, thinking of the delicious food. Freshly made waffles were her favorite breakfast food. She walked over to open the door and looked back at Saya. She took a deep breathe. "Ready as I'll ever be."

She knew Saya would not be able to understand exactly how nervous she was. After all he wasn't the one who was surrounded by the opposite gender everywhere he looked. She walked out, glancing back to see if he was following.

Juneberry 03-05-2011 08:22 PM

Sayaku moved his free hand behind his head, scratching the back of his neck as he followed suit, leaving the room and closing the door behind them. He walked slightly behind the other one. "Waffle fan, huh? Home-made are better then those store-bought things though...But I'm happy with plain ol' eggs. Then again, I'm used to hunting down those eggs days before...Those chickens can be rowdy..." He grumbled, remembering some of the bad times, then some of the good times. "Rowdy but cute I guess."

He smiled over at Oliver. "Sorry if I'm talking too much about farm stuff. I grew up there so it's really all I can remember most of the time..."

Honor 03-05-2011 08:41 PM

Olivia smiled and nodded, agreeing with his opinion on waffles, the home-made really was better. "No, it's fine. I like hearing about it. It's a lot different from where I grew up. There it's kinda boring. And strict. Everyone has a role and no one deviants from it. And if someone does they become the topic of old women's gossip." She told him with sigh. Yes, she loved her home, but the place could be so obsessed with tradition that it forgot that people were individuals.

She looked around, seeing the individuals they passed. Most of them were tall and intimidating looking, at least to her. She guessed they just seemed that way to her right now because she was nervous. Given a few days they would be nothing more than people she happened to pass in the hallway. She hoped.

Juneberry 03-06-2011 01:08 AM

"Well, farming villages have very strict customs too, y'know. Like at home, it was rare that I wasn't in the barn because it was my set job to take care of the cattle and livestock. My mother was in charge of cleaning and cooking and...Well, for some reason my dad was always asleep it seemed like. I barely saw him during the day. My sister grew up separately so she had no job specifics. But...Everyone had things basically set that they had to do. And no one really left the village much. Chini, the girl I mentioned last night... She's next in line to take over the general store. Her mother took it over after her grandparents and so forth. It's all tradition too."

He laughed a bit. "But we still have things we do outside of working. I used to play guitar for the little kids who weren't old enough to work yet. It just all depends you know?"

Honor 03-06-2011 01:20 AM

Olivia grinned, enjoying hearing about Saya's home life. It was different from her own and yet similar. She wanted to tell him the things she had done back at her home, the people she had known and every strange habit they possessed. Yet she wasn't sure exactly how much she could say. What would give away her secret? The tiniest hint could help him make the connection later if more information ever went his way. Yet the idea of keeping him in the dark about her past made her feel, for lack of a better word, discontent.

"I guess life is the same in some ways wherever you go." She said glancing over at him with a friendly smile. Yes, she had defiantly found the perfect roommate, and good friend along with that. "What kind of songs would you play for them?"

Juneberry 03-06-2011 01:37 PM

"It really depended on the timing. If it was getting near a festival or somethin', I'd write little jingles or something about the festivals to get them excited. Other times it was lore put into music or even just a lullaby if it was getting late and no one was tired. I just played whatever seemed right at the time really- and what the kids would ask for at other times." Sayaku let out a chuckle, smiling over at his friend. He was glad he'd gone to that school already, but at least now he had more reasons to be.

"Though none of the words were ever in English, mind you, since most people in the village speak Norwegian as a first language. If I tried to write a song in English none of them would understand. But I can still play some for you later if you want."

Honor 03-06-2011 02:18 PM

She tried to see it in her head. Saya surrounded by little children waiting eagerly for a song. Perhaps they would sit by a fire and stare up at the stars as he played. It was a beautiful picture and it almost made her sad that she had never experience something like that.

"I would like that." She said with a smile, looking over at Saya. She looked away just a second to late for it to be natural, her gaze lingering on his face. She wondered if he was aware at all, on any level, that she was girl. It didn't seem like it, considering he spoke so naturally with her and had trouble with girls. A spark of irritation flowered in her. Was she that unfeminine?

She didn't have long to dwell on this thought, though as within the next second a hand came down on her head and ruffled her hair. "The new students keep getting smaller and smaller every year, I swear it." Said a cheerfully good-natured sounding voice. Olivia looked up to find a tall boy staring down at her with eyes the shade newly grown grass. Scraggly brown hair hung in his face, just above his eyes, as he looked down at her. He stuck out his hand.

"I'm Joey, welcome to your new school." He said with a grin. Olivia put her hand in his hesitantly and he shook her hand enthusiastically. "Olvi-" She started to say until she caught herself. "-er" The boy's hand dwarfed hers. Then he held it out for Saya to take.

Juneberry 03-06-2011 03:27 PM

"Sayaku. Nice to meet'cha." Sayaku didn't hesitate to accept the handshake, considering it was a simple gesture. He had noticed the boy's eyes seemed to be the same color as his own sister's, and also studied his facial structure.

He looked fairly familiar, from an old picture his uncle had shown him. "I swear you look like my cousin...Though only through a picture." He laughed, nodding easily. "Joey huh? So you're an upperclassman I'm guessing?" He was nonchalant as he spoke, but not rude. Just simple. "How do you do?"

Honor 03-06-2011 03:41 PM

Joey grinned and shook Sayaku's hand, his other hand still on Olivia's head. "Yep. I'm a senior. It's good to be back and seeing all of my old friends, and the new ones. Which as I said keep getting smaller." He down as Olive. "Look at you shorty! You sure you're old enough to be here?" He teased in a good-natured way that Olivia was beginning to think was permanent.

She grinned along with him, his happiness catching. "No. I think your just abnormally tall." She told him. It was true too, he was much taller than the average guy his age. It was also true however that Olivia was shorter than a guy her age would be. Though her height was perfectly average for a girl.

"You guy's going to breakfast? I'll tag along." Joey said easily. He'd said it so naturally it seemed normal for him to insert himself into their little group of two that Olivia almost didn't question it at all until she realized they'd known each other all of two seconds. Men where strange, or at least this one was.

Juneberry 03-06-2011 04:51 PM

"I gotta agree with Olive, you're definitely taller then average." Sayaku chuckled, smiling as he enjoyed their abnormal conversation about heights. "It's fine with me if you join us. How 'bout you, Olive? Mind the extra company?" A grin was still on the boy's face as he looked at his friend. He then thought of a question to ask Joey and turned back to him. "Hey, Joey...Do you know where Schalanger's classroom is from the cafeteria? We gotta go there next, so it'd probably be good to know how to get there."

Honor 03-06-2011 05:04 PM

"Ah, true. I am taller than most." Joey said with a grin and a flourish of his hand that released Olivia -finally- from his grasp. Olivia rolled her eyes and scooted slightly closer to Saya.

"I don't mind." She said, thinking that this boy seemed like he just might turn out to be a very funny companion. Also, the more friend she made the more at ease she would be here, surrounded by unfamiliar men.

Joey made a face the mention of Schalanger. "Oh yes, I know where his class is. He's a tough teacher to handle. Just stay quiet and out of his way and you'll be fine. His class is just to the north of the cafeteria, can't miss it." He said and then began to walk toward the cafeteria again. Olivia followed suit glancing at Saya before she did so.

Juneberry 03-06-2011 05:07 PM

Sayaku naturally walked after Joey, letting him guide the way as if he were a tour guide- or just because it seemed right at the time. "That bad, huh? Well thanks for the warning then. I'll try not to cause any trouble." He let a slight chortle escape his throat without thinking as he looked over at Oliver. "What do you think, Oliver? Think we'll be able to handle that teacher? Strict teachers can be a pain...But I don't mind them too much."

Honor 03-06-2011 05:18 PM

Olivia laughed. "I think so. Though just in case, I don't think I'll say a word in there." This had been her plan before hand too. The less attention she called to herself the better. She said this just as they walked into the cafeteria and her eyes scanned the room. It wasn't as crowded as she thought, nor loud. Perhaps this school would be calmer that she thought.

"Here we are! This place, unlike most school, has the best food around." He grinned and hurried off into the line, making a motion that they should follow him. Olivia turned to Saya. "Interesting place huh?" She said with a small chuckle.

Juneberry 03-06-2011 07:25 PM

"Interesting place with interesting people, you got that right." He chuckled as well. "Definitely not what I was expecting so far, but not a bad thing either." Grinning, he began to walk after Joey again but keeping an eye on Oliver to make sure he was nearby as well. "Glad you came to this school so far?"

Honor 03-06-2011 07:41 PM

Olivia smiled as if she was sharing a private joke with herself. Which, she was in a way. "I am. I mean I always thought it would be worth it in the long run, but I figured it would be something I'd have to tough through on short-term. It still might be, but so far it's great. Definitely worth it." She told him.

She glanced at Joey, who was joyously receiving his food in front of him. He was a funny guy from what she could tell, but he also seemed to be good-hearted. She was glad to have met him. But more than that she was glad to have met Sayaku. She looked back it him, trying not to appear to be staring. It was her second day here and she was sure she had made a good friend in him. Sure, there were things to learn about each other still, but her instincts told her that he was good and she trusted her instincts.

Juneberry 03-06-2011 09:49 PM

Sayaku walked along the line easily, getting served a simple yet nutritious meal. Each person involved in giving him his food got a polite and easy word of gratitude, followed by a salutation to take care of themselves. He checked to Oliver from time to time to see how he was doing as well.

"I'm glad you feel that way. I know I'm happy so far. Nice people and it should be good for helping us improve in what we're trying to do. SO it seems like a good fit."

Honor 03-06-2011 10:06 PM

As they got their meal Olivia could hear Saya thanking their servers very politely. It was nice to hear in a world where politeness was so very rare. She nodded, agree with his sentiment. This place was most certainly a good fit.

"Hey, c'mon! Sit over here with us." Said Joey suddenly. Olivia looked at him with a start, having forgotten about his presence for a moment. He was sitting at a near table with a few other guys. Two seats next to him were empty. Olivia threw a smile Saya's way and walked over.

Juneberry 03-06-2011 10:15 PM

Sayaku chuckled and walked over as well, footsteps easy but somehow quicker then normal for a guy walking. Taking one of the two seats, he sat down without a thought and took a bite of his food- most of which consisted of eggs and vegetables, along with some milk and one waffle on the side. "Thanks for lettin' us join ya." His accent didn't fade even then, but then again, neither did his polite demeanor.

"What's up?" Another of the guys asked with a grin. He was red-headed boy, with chocolate eyes showing through slightly lengthy bangs. His clothes were fairly simple, and his smile was plain as well, but it was surely polite all the same. "My name is Peter. Joey isn't causing you any trouble is he? He's been pretty over-energized since our first year here."

Honor 03-06-2011 10:27 PM

Olivia sat down next to Saya, smiling politely at those they were eating with. She cut her waffle with her fork and dipped it into the syrup. She made a quit sound of pleasure. She hadn't had a good waffle in a long time.

Joey made a look of complete innocence. "I have been nothing but an angel! Going out of my way to help these poor little newbies from the goodness of my heart, and this the thanks I get." He said with the an overly exaggerated tone of hurt in his voice. He looked over at Olivia and Saya giving them a forlorn expression. "You see how they mistreat me?"

Juneberry 03-07-2011 12:08 AM

"You do realize there are plenty of other new students here, Joey," Peter responded quickly, though in a monotone and somewhat mysterious voice. "There's a reason you particularly noticed these two, am I correct?"

"Well besides him mentioning Oliver's height earlier, I certainly don't know what he was dragged in by, but it was a good thing all in all," Sayaku confessed in response, eating another piece of a pepper.

Honor 03-07-2011 04:19 PM

Olivia perked up, listening more closely when her height was mentioned. Joey grinned like an idiot. "Ah, it seems you have found me out. How clever of you Peter! You get a gold star." He said dramatically. Olivia was getting the impression that he said everything dramatically.

"Well, apart from little Olly here's height, look at his face. Doesn't it seem a bit feminine to you?"-Olivia stiffened when Joey said that- "I figured unless we adopted him he'd be eaten alive." He threw her a lopsided grin. "No offence kid, it's kinda cute actually, might help you pick up girls."

Then Joey looked at Sayaku. "And this guy... well he just seems like an interesting character, don'tcha agree? He's got the look of someone shrouded in mystery."

Olivia smiled a little at thins, taking an examining look at Saya. He didn't seem mysterious to her, not in the slightest, so she assumed Joey was simply pulling things from the top of his head. Of course, she could be wrong, perhaps she just didn't see it. Though now she was sidetracked. Most guys would not take a comment about looking like a girl lying down She had to say something. "I don't look that much like a girl." She said, her voice faltering and becoming a bit higher as she said 'that.' "Do I?" She added uncertainly, though she already knew the answer. Joey simply shook his head.

Juneberry 03-08-2011 01:08 PM

"Eh, I don't think Olive looks that much like a lass," Sayaku said, though even he would question his use of the word 'lass', which even in his village had been uncommon. "He seems like a pretty regular guy to me. Plenty taller then my sister too..." He chuckled, adding, "And what's so mysterious about me? I'm just a new student. Olive's the same that way. What makes me such a mystery?"

"Joey just likes to say the first thing that comes to his head. It's pretty much his norm." Peter nodded quite simply, looking at Oliver. "Though I agree that Oliver is a tad more feminine then other guys, he doesn't look so much like a girl that he could ever be mistaken. And Joey has a point that it could help him with the girls some. Just like Joey's extremely lax nature makes it easy for them to talk to him."

He stopped, though added, "Though I can't say I know what makes Sayaku such a mystery either. Why don't you tell us what you want to know about Sayaku that you don't right now, Joey?"

Honor 03-08-2011 04:20 PM

Olivia's face went a little red and she wasn't sure if it was because her disguise wasn't working as well as she thought or because Saya had said she didn't look all that much like a girl. It irked her, for some reason, that he didn't seem to have the slightest inkling of her real gender. He was a guy after all. Did he not feel even the slightest attraction for her? This bothered her more than it should have.

Joey gave them all a look of shock then grinned a little, having been caught in his act. Still, as he liked to say, the show must go on. "Ask him? Are you mad? If he were a secret agent or worked for the government do you think he would tell me? You foolish, foolish people."

Olivia laughed at this. "A secret agent?" She looked over at Saya and stifled another laugh. "I'll be sure to watch for any strange behavior." She smiled. Joey nodded at her seriously, as if it were very important that she did. "And report anything out of the ordinary directly to me." He told her seriously. She grinned again. "Will do."

Juneberry 03-08-2011 05:11 PM

"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you guys. I'm secretly a vampire that came to this place to drink everyone's blood." He rolled his eyes, laughing. This was due to the words 'secret agent'. "Is it really that obvious? I thought I was doing so well to hide that I'm sunburned, not tanned from farm work in the past..."

Peter even chuckled as well, smiling. "Glad to see Joey's joking around doesn't bother you guys too much. Oh, and Sayaku, why don't you think Olivia's feminine?"

"Er...Well, my idea of a girl thanks to my past is getting beat up for saying something stupid. Or just seeing someone cough up a storm or something. So... Since I haven't seen either of those happen yet, he can't be feminine to me." Sayaku laughed. Peter felt sweat roll down his forehead.

"Okay, Joey, I think I found the mystery you were looking for. He's a punching bag in disguise as a human."

"Hey, I told you I'm a vampire!" Sayaku laughed. Peter joined him.

"Oliver, you're lucky Sayaku has a weird idea of feminine. He can't annoy you like Joey can since he does think of you as feminine."

Honor 03-08-2011 05:25 PM

Olivia laughed. "Hmm... well since I'm your roommate I think you should drink my blood last. It's a bit rude otherwise. Joey nodded, serious again. "Vampire... hmm... yes that makes perfect sense. Why didn't I see it before?!" The he laughed, his serious face erased quiker than Olivia thought possible, and reached over to ruffle Sayaku's hair. "But still a good kid it seems, despite the vampirism."

"Yeah, guess I am." Olive said in reply to Peter's comment. She didn't feel lucky though, even though she knew she really was. It was a good thing Sayaku didn't think of her as feminine, but why couldn't she see it that way?

Joey looked heartbroken at Peter's words. "Annoy him? I'm not annoying am I Oliver?" Joey looked over at him with large eyes resembling a puppy. Olivia shook her head. "Of course not." She said. Joey's face lit up. "Olly here is my new best friend!" He said gleefully, shooting Peter a teasing look.

Juneberry 03-08-2011 06:04 PM

Peter chortled to Joey's words. "Congratulations, Oliver. You're best friend is an idiot." He smiled mockingly at Joey, though it was clear in his voice that he had simply been joking. "Just kidding. Joey's a bit aloof but he's a good guy and honest. He won't let you down...Well, except if you need a serious conversation."

"I'll remember that," Sayaku replied with a laugh of his own. He smiled over at Oliver soon after, adding, "Don't worry. I won't bite you. I don't bite anymore. I live on normal food just like you and the others." His laughter turned into a simple smile as he continued with his meal.

Honor 03-08-2011 06:18 PM

Olivia laughed, enjoying the light atmosphere the seemed to float around these strange group of individuals. It was so natural to be here sitting with them, as if nothing in the world were wrong. There was something wrong however, as she knew that as much as they thought she looked like a girl, no one here really thought she was. There was no suspicion, none at all, and she felt guilty for that. What would they do if they ever found out the truth? Olive took a bite of waffle as she contemplated this, listening to the other speak around her.

"A domesticated vampire." Joey scoffed, sounding distant in Olivia's ears as her mind wondered. "What a crying shame. Not in the least bit frightening. You don't even drink the blood of pure maidens? Now that would add to your fear-factor." Olivia smiled at this comment. Men were strange creature
s.

Juneberry 03-08-2011 06:23 PM

"Tried once but it turned out to be a vampire hunter. I think they're all learning too quickly about our attempts. It would be foolish and futile." Sayaku responded to Joey easily, rolling his eyes as well. "I'm not dumb. I know when I'm beat."

"That and you're not a real vampire. You just wanted to play with Joey's idea."

"How do you know I'm not?" Sayaku grinned to Peter who chortled lightly. He then looked at Joey and Oliver. "You believe me don't you?"

Honor 03-08-2011 06:34 PM

"Of course I do!" Joey responded with a very solemn sounding voice. Olivia thought he should be an actor. "I will keep your secret with me till the day I die!" He then proceeded to dig into his food as if he hadn't just made a rather intense vow.

Olivia smiled, her eyes meeting Saya's for an instant. She was lost there for the breifest of moments before she could speak, thankful Joey had spoken before her and given her time to think. "I do. I'm your roommate after all. You think I haven't noticed you turning into a bat and flying around? You might try to be a little less obvious." She told him with a grin. Then she made herself look away from his eyes. SHe was beging to realize that while she was not female to him, he was very much a male to her. Being attracted to her roommate was not a good thing.

Juneberry 03-08-2011 07:20 PM

"What? You were awake!?" Sayaku mocked shock, grinning. "I was sure you were asleep at that point, Olive. I asked before I transformed and opened the window!" A grin was still on his face as he ate an onion easily. "Oh... How am I doing at hiding my onion allergy? You know all vampires hate onions right? They smell."

"From what I can tell, you love them..." Peter muttered quietly. He noticed the abundant onion, greens and other such foods on Sayaku's plate as they were devoured. "You a health freak?"

"Nah. Grew up with these foods. Fresh-grown vegetables are great. Especially when they're home-grown."

Honor 03-08-2011 08:04 PM

Olivia could not contain her laughter and once she had finished laughing her grin would not leave her face. She felt a warm sensation filling inside her chest as she sat there. Having been so nervous about how this would turn out she was glad that it worked out so well. She hoped it would keep working like this. If it did, then her life here would be perfect. "You're doing very well, obviously." She said finally, gesturing to the onions on his tray. "I would never suspect a thing."

Suddenly Joey sighed. "I would love to continue our discussion of Sayaku's vampirism, but class is going to start soon. We should get going." He said, not sounding too enthused about this idea at all. He repeated his directions to the english class room to Olivia and Saya then turned to Peter waiting for him to come with him. "Goodbye newbies." He said with a smile.

Juneberry 03-08-2011 08:42 PM

Sayaku groaned upon the time that Joey had noted class was starting. "Dang. Now I have to waste some good food..." Standing up, he stretched his arms upward.

"Don't worry too much. We all do it sometimes."

"Yeah but it feels bad still anyway." He went to the garbage can near the table. When he got back, he smiled simply. "Thanks for the directions, Joey. See you later, I guess. Shall we go, Oliver?"

"Let's get, Joey. Before you get a tardy." Peter waved to the other too. "Nice meeting you, Sayaku and Olly."

Honor 03-08-2011 09:13 PM

"Yeah, you too." Said Olivia as she watched Joey and Peter walk away to their own classes. She had three friends here, more than she had expected, considering he expectations had been that she would remain aloof from the rest of society here. She turned to Saya when they had left.

"Olly." She said, tasting the word, a smile growing on her face. "That's a new one." She quickly emptied her tray and walked back to her roommate. "Ready as I'll ever be." She said as they started walking
