You see.. i've been to karaoke parties and whatnot IRL. There's always someone who chooses a deep song and sings it well. But all the other peopl who are waiting on their turns, just can't do anything but sit and listen... and clap when its done. They don't want to join in because it may ruin the other person's singing and they look like they're putting on a show.

Now.. the person who sings something silly and fun. The other people KNOW they're not being serious. And they get up off their seats, grab a second mic and sing ALONG with them rather than just listening. The people people who don't care to go up, they sing in their seats or dance. And it turns into laughter and fun.

There's just a difference. Stupid songs make a better party. Smart ones make a better show.

I don't want to attend a show.. I wanna throw a parteh =P

This is just from my experience with karaoke, on many occasions.

Well, I've never been to karaoke and probably never will, 'cause like I said. I don't sing when people can hear me. XD And I sing songs only I have heard & read lyrics at the same time and know really well, even when I am alone. xD

... It (the karaoke site) has My Immortal. XD Mwah. I know the Gregorians version by heart of that song for sure. XD

D'awwww that's no fun =P I don't look up lyrics to song very often >_> Unless I can't remember the song... or I'm curious as to what one line in the song really says xP

But if you're super shy, then karaoke isn't for you. You really won't have much fun in places like that if you don't enjoy public singing. Because there's always someone at those parties who sits in a corner and just listens..... I always kinda feel sad for them =[

I dunno if I am shy about singing... Just don't think I am all too well singer, but I do enjoy singing along with others, when they can't hear I get an off note. P= Maybe, if I knew the people I went with, I would sing alone. Also depends on how silly the songs would be. XD

I enjoy both sorts of music. but even the dance music I listen to isn't mainstream. like Little Boots. I love her so much. but she's not popular enough to make it onto a karaoke site. :C

Ohohoho. In my mind, I have created songs for all my favorite songs. I love to dance, but I do it in my own way. XD When I was little, I dreamed of becoming a stage dancer for the singers I liked. XDDD

I used to dance looots when I was kid. Then my asthma kicked in, and I can't anymore, but I keep my dancing style in my head and when my asthma goes away, I will dance again. XD Just for my own enjoyment. <3 Dancing and singing is cool and very fun.

So did I ! ahaha.. My mum's a devout believer in God song we'd always sing gospel songs and I'd do modern dances to them. It was fun!

I also loved the Cheetah Girls and stuff like that...so all my dances were similar to them. I haven't outgrown it tho. I love k-pop and their dance groups x3 Songs are just a lot better when there's a dance with it.

And not just dances... I'd even think of music videos 8D

XD Ya, I have thought dances for songs I thought could never have a dance without making it cheap... XD Maybe it's still cheap, but as no one sees it in my head, I can do whatever I want, lol.

I didn't really get inspired by anything. I usually symbolically dance out what is being sung and then some decorative elements. x3

And ohh interpretive dancing. Like the person says "sky" and you point to the heavens xD I did stuff like that too xP

But now I mainly pick dance based on the beat on the song and how the words flow.

Well, I work that beat thing into it, too. XD You won't be slow and "poetic" in song that nearly literally runs towards the end. P=
