I could honestly spend hours just wandering around sight seeing in these games. The scenery is just so beautiful. Though... I do tend to get distracted and have an overpowering need to punch people who look at me funny in the face.

Quiet Man Cometh 06-03-2011 12:13 AM

My brother accidentaly punched one of the group of girls hanging out in the beginning area of AC2. They got over it quickly enough and started fawning again. Kind of unsettling though.

Espy 06-03-2011 12:18 AM

If I ever get the chance to play AC/2, I'll probably be running around picking everyone's pockets. And shoving people around.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-03-2011 12:18 AM

What I find amusing is jumping off a roof, finding someone who's making fun of me, stalking him into a corner, then punching him in the face and slowly walking away as the crown parts before me.

I wish you could get into fist fights with people in the second game.

Edit-- I find pickpocketing worthless. You get a best 20 Florens from each person, while my Villa makes 40,000 Florens an hour. :|

Quiet Man Cometh 06-03-2011 12:21 AM

Little details like shoving just make games in my opinion, which I think I may have said before. *Thinks*

Devil May Cry has a taunt button, and you get bonuses to fight rewards and combos when you use it.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-04-2011 12:25 AM

Just finished the game. Freaky ending. Can't weight to play the next game.

Quiet Man Cometh 06-04-2011 10:46 PM

A case of Nintendo AI? And you may want to put that end bit in a spoiler in case other people would rather not see it.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-04-2011 11:24 PM

Good catch. Sorry to anyone who read that unwittingly.

And it was kind of like that. It just felt forced and unrealistic and really stuck out from, literally, everything else in the game. Clunky is the word I would use to describe it. Not fun, at all.

Espy 06-07-2011 12:21 AM

I just saw the trailer for AC Revelations. And nearly died. IT'S THAT AWESOME.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-07-2011 12:31 AM

Link, please? :) *pants, tries not to drool yet*

Espy 06-07-2011 12:40 AM

*remembers to close mouth*

Oh, wow. Those may be the best graphics I've ever seen. I seriously thought the executioner guy was real for a minute there. And the choreography of that fight scene....

Thanks for that, that's definitely going on the list. Weird that if it weren't for this thread I wouldn't have remembered how great this series is.

Quiet Man Cometh 06-22-2011 02:03 AM

These guys are amusing me to no end. :). Found one for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. This a new one? Don't think I've seen it before.

I love alot of ubisofts games. Though my least favorite is prince of persia. Mainly because of the first level..I always launched myself off a cliff. I actually watched the movie to see if he would just say screw it and walk around the set.
Assassins creed is one of their popular ones. It is one of my favorites though splinter cell is high up there.
Currently the ubisoft game that I am playing is Drakengard 2. Its ubisoft/square enix.
It's decent I will recomend it to those who have a playstation 2.

nyreen 07-29-2011 07:52 PM

Isn't Ubisoft's headquarters located in Montreal? Isn't it a Montreal made company/Canadian company. I'm not too sure, but... yeah. I loved Assassin's Creed.

Quiet Man Cometh 07-30-2011 03:09 AM

Not necessarily. Companies can have their headquarters whereever they feel like it as far as I know. It can be easier on taxes to have an out of country headquarters I think (going from hearsay here). I don't think it needs to be restricted to the nation of ownership. Not sure. Wikipedia would tell you that.

nyreen 07-30-2011 01:12 PM

Ah! I see.

Thank you. c:

Speaking of putting stuff wherever, forgot if anyone's mentioned it yet, but aren't the servers somewhere out in the Pacific? Or so I've heard...

Blaine 08-10-2011 08:34 PM

Don't even care how mainstream it is, I need to make love to see Ezio's final game and love him and eat and everything.
My baby has grown up. T uT <33

AC is my overall favourite game series. :>
:plays with baby Ezio figure: |3

Funkduder 08-11-2011 02:22 AM

Whenever I hear "ubisoft" I think of the literal AC trailer.
"Stargate. Ubisoft. Sparkle~"

Quiet Man Cometh 08-13-2011 12:44 AM

Kill them with your awesome!

(I put that up here a few posts back. ;). Well, for "Brotherhood" that is. Not as fond of the newer one for Revelations.)

Suzerain of Sheol 08-13-2011 12:49 AM

Hopefully those guards have good armor...

Funkduder 08-13-2011 03:08 AM

*stab*
no they don't~

Quiet Man Cometh 08-14-2011 03:47 AM

EDIT. Oops. Net conked out on my and I forgot I was editting an older post, not posting something new.

Quiet Man Cometh 08-14-2011 03:52 AM

Maybe they do?

...they don't.

aaand this is all from someone who hasn't actually *played* Assassin's Creed. Just watched other people at it. :).
Anyone know if the one for DS is anygood? Always looking for new games for that thing.

Blaine 08-14-2011 04:00 AM

Within a day, I had the Revelations Literal Song memorized. orz It's on my ipod, xD!

I geeked SO HARD when he went "Nod at the bird and people die...everywhere..people die.." AGH. Cleeverrrr.

Iwantitsobad

Quiet Man Cometh 08-14-2011 04:21 AM

That would be "Brotherhood." Or do you have them both memorized?

My niece introduced me to Literal. She recognizes the Assassin's Creed song when I sing it. :D
