Adagio 03-31-2012 12:27 AM

I used to play the violin for 12 years but stopped after I left highschool. It was more of a hobby and I wasn't too serious about it because after a while due I started to lose sight of the 'fun' of it and ended up just never picking it back up after school orchestra finished. I do miss it sometimes though ; 7 ;

Avox 03-31-2012 01:26 PM

I play approximately... Zero. XD Though I WANT to learn guitar, piano, and drums. Eventually. ^-^

Alyssia 04-09-2012 11:50 AM

I used to play guitar, but it's been so long I'm not sure what all I remember~
I do sing though.

Hex 04-09-2012 12:02 PM

I was a professional Piccolo player and floutist but I quit due to musicians politics...but I still love to play (and am currently looking for a good local orchestra) I also sing and play...

piano, violin, stand up hard, lap harp, zither, oboe, clarinet, saxophone (tenor is my favorite), french horn, a bit of trumpet, and I am currently working on getting my hands on a cello 030

MayChan 04-09-2012 10:04 PM

Don't really play the Piano anymore, but I would still love to relearn it.

Coffu 04-12-2012 10:48 PM

Guitar & Vocals~

Athilea Majiri 04-18-2012 09:09 PM

I don't play anything at this time. Though I would love to learn the guitar.

Shark 04-20-2012 02:26 AM

I was learning to play the violin once upon a time... and the harmonica.

Cecily Hopnotch 04-20-2012 04:49 PM

I can play the harp... and nothing else. xD
Cept I probably can't anymore, seeing as I haven't played mine in years since it's too small for any real songs...

Oliver8607 04-24-2012 04:05 PM

I dabble in piano and guitar but that is about it

Fauxreal 04-25-2012 01:31 AM

I remember the days I used to play the violin and piano.

Umaeril 05-18-2012 06:39 PM

I used to play the flute, also the piano and the guitar and bass guitar. I guess of all of them I knew the guitar the best. But I have not played in a while.

Kotomi 05-29-2012 12:10 PM

hmm learned to play the clarinet back in grade school when I wanted to get a flute, sister got a flute years later when she wanted a clarinet
confusing parents...

hmm got a guitar I still could be better at it however, I did learn what I wanted to from when I took the class, learned to tune the stings by ear so they sound in harmony, as long as I have one note tuned to the right cord I can get the others

hmm ocarina, harmonica, and a recorder...

ack almost forgot my favorite... o.o piano
still can be better at it too wish I had one that was in tune so I could practice

Law 06-01-2012 02:16 PM

I only know how to play two instruments. The bassoon, and then the wonderful instrument called the mouth. Hehe I am a very good whistler, and I personally count that. :)

Addy 06-06-2012 02:00 PM

I used to play trumpet in high school band, but havent' done that in about ten years now. Daaaaamn. D:

Self-teaching myself Famitracker which is a music-making program. I dunno if that really counts though.

white chicken 06-10-2012 06:27 AM

I play the keyboard and recently started playing the electric guitar. :']

Mika 10-09-2012 11:18 PM

I've dabbled a bit in guitar, but I'm really not very good at playing instruments. I can sing if that counts.

SoulOfThyKnyte 10-12-2012 10:45 AM

I played violin for 7 years, but i have not touched it so much lately. I also have a piano and 2 guitars. Those I don't know how to play though, but hopefully one day soon I will. But most of all I love to sing, something about just makes me feel free on the inside.

Merlin 10-16-2012 01:27 AM

I know how to play Guitar (5 years)
Drums (2-3 years)
Keyboard (basic but still about 2-3 years)
All of which are self taught, so they all sound like crap. XD

termyte 10-24-2012 05:24 PM

i play the drums an ex boyfriend taught me, i played flute in the junior high band, and the guitar i can play a few cords but not well.

Scintilla 10-24-2012 07:21 PM

I play the piano, violin, viola, sing, and know how to compose for all instruments. o x o

Started viola a month or two ago.

...If you count the dulcimer and recorder I learned in elementary school...

Arikana 10-24-2012 07:51 PM

Just one: Piano. Though it's been a while since I've consistently played. :'(

Darth Vader 11-02-2012 11:20 PM

I can play piano (well, electric keyboard and organ) pretty well, as well as electric and bass guitar. I took up piano lessons in 2001 and stopped in early or late 2010 (I forget), and I started playing guitar and bass informally in around 2007 or 2008. I'd like to think that my guitar skills have gotten pretty good since then, especially considering that I've taught myself how to play it. Guitar Hero also helped me to want to buy a guitar and start playing myself.

I also play some violin (not much because I can't properly rosin the bow), harmonica, accordion, and clarinet.

Glitter 11-07-2012 07:59 PM

I do not play any, but my dream is to become a Pianist and a Keyboardist.

Tears 11-14-2012 04:19 AM

I don't play any currently. I sing sometimes though. I used to play piano and various simple percussion instruments though.

Filthgrinder 04-18-2015 06:06 PM

Just one. I play drums.

Coda 04-27-2015 02:49 PM

I can't believe I haven't replied to this thread yet.

I play a lot of instruments @.@ with varying levels of proficiency.

I know I can play piano (and by extension most keyboard instruments), clarinet (soprano, bass, contrabass), ocarina, Native American flute, recorder, xylophone (and by extension most mallet percussion), oboe, French horn, cello (and by extension most bowed strings), bass guitar, drum set, and mountain dulcimer.

I also sing, with a baritenor range (though as I get older I'm losing my high notes), and I whistle. (Whistling takes more practice than people realize, especially if you want to be able to be fast and distinct while staying in key.)

With that background, I can play melodies on pretty much any instrument you put in my hands if you give me some time to figure it out. My one weakness is the guitar family -- I can play a melody on a guitar, but you don't PLAY melodies on a guitar. Playing it RIGHT is something I can't do. I also haven't figured out how to play the flute yet.

Why yes, my name is "Coda" for a reason.

Karastorm 05-02-2015 04:30 AM

Two If I include my voice being a singer. One if not and that one is a Ocarina I'm still learning though.

Lawtan 05-02-2015 04:44 PM

Coda, I envy you...

It is on my list to learn how to play several instruments, but I don't know any yet...It's more on my list of reasons I hate myself at the moment.

Den 05-03-2015 08:51 PM

I used to play piano (and when presented with the opportunity and the sheet music, I can still play somewhat well), clarinet (Bb) in middle school and my freshman year of high school (both concert and marching band), Piano Bass (was in middle school and we had a LOT of sax players, so the teacher put me on the piano bass), used to play Bassoon (concert band only), recorder (I still can play it somewhat), and I sing. I used to sing Soprano, but I kept drowning out the other Sopranos in my school choir, so the teacher moved me to the Alto section, and I can hit some of the upper range of Tenor/Baritone notes, though I'm quite firmly in the Alto and lower end of Second Soprano range. I've still got the same amount of power that I did in high school, even ten years later, though I don't have any choirs to sing with (being a pagan in a sorta isolated part of the state'll do that).
