Shoot, I'd have made Jeanne a boy if I'd realized how unbalanced it was. xD Oh well. I can't wait for it to start!

Cupcake - If you're offering, I'd love one of Jeanne. I actually have a sketch of her clothing and if you'd like, I can send it to you.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-20-2011 05:57 PM

Meh, we're an equal-opportunity post-apocalypse here. :p

And, also, I've decided we'll be starting in Corinth, Greece, built on the ruins of Biblical Corinth, and the modern city was destroyed during the Calamity. It is a moderately fortified town of 4,500 protected by a twenty-foot concrete wall and a militia of 600. It has a small air base and two Saints on-duty for protection, as well as a number of battle-trained psychics. It serves as something of a hub in the region, policing the area with regular patrols and providing protection and supplies to neighboring settlements. Many drifters and travelers make stops their to resupply or rest from their journeys.

And... Asmodeus is the current regent of Hell (which should fit well with your character, Dolly, as he's the fiend of temptation). And let's just say he's not too broken up about the news of the Dragon's demise. I'd assume he's in correspondence with the False Prophet, though whether they're working together or not is anyone's guess, as is there ultimate plans/goals.

Espy 06-20-2011 09:24 PM

Er...lemme find some time to write mine up when my mom's not in the freaking next room over....

You guys should start first XD And no worries, I'm gonna be a guy here.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-20-2011 09:31 PM

We might get started tomorrow if I get around to it. I'm not in too much of a hurry, though. Either way, given how vagrant this setting is, we can work you in later easily if you're not ready in time.

Espy 06-20-2011 09:33 PM

Gotcha.

....Nice avi -staaaare-

Suzerain of Sheol 06-20-2011 09:34 PM

Heh, I'm cosplaying myself. :p

Espy 06-20-2011 09:35 PM

Hm. Maybe.......huh. (this'll be interesting....)

I've an urge to change my avi, and then an urge to keep cosplaying my alter ego.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-20-2011 09:57 PM

Just a random thought, but a deranged, suicidal character with an Ordinance Transmitter would be so much fun. NPC time! :p

Espy 06-20-2011 10:01 PM

Before I forget: our charries can have random normal equips, right?

EDIT: Oh dear god. Looks like I'll be the only one melee-ing my way around here XD

Suzerain of Sheol 06-20-2011 10:02 PM

Yes, of course. For weapons and stuff, I put them 1/2 rarity, but I'm not gonna be a stickler about it, honestly.

Edit: Actually, know what? I'm going to take that line out of the rules. It's not really worth it. You can have as much as your able to transport. Vehicles, I'm still charging one for, because they're somewhat rare.

Serra Britt 06-20-2011 10:21 PM

My character's going to learn how to use psionics REALLY fast, or die a horrible death, I think :/ I'm feeling a bit too pacifist now >>

Suzerain of Sheol 06-20-2011 10:26 PM

Someone can teach her, I imagine. Or she could discover talents she never knew she had. Or find some weapons to make due, if she's willing to use them. I imagine Dolly's character could give her some pointers, if she was inclined to.

Espy 06-20-2011 10:32 PM

-cough- Is a Survivor motorcycle-able? -cough-

Wait, I take that back. He's blind x___X Not the best idea, eh.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-20-2011 10:33 PM

Sure. Sounds cool.

Espy 06-20-2011 10:33 PM

Actually....how the hell do I make him blind without also making him too helpless?

Serra Britt 06-20-2011 10:34 PM

I'm sure Feenai would rather learn to fight than die, no matter how much her powers might have scared her parents. I just see her as a rather knowlegable but naïve girl.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-20-2011 10:35 PM

@Espy... limited psychic ability? I wouldn't mind, as long as it only applied to sight. Or, rule of cool, if you prefer. ;)

CupcakeDolly 06-20-2011 11:07 PM

Yayy, now I've got work to do. x3

@Sage, if you could send the pic along that would be helpful.

Everyone else, if there's any other descriptive details that you think I absolutely must know about your charries, those would be helpful too. Otherwise I'm just wingin' it.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-20-2011 11:09 PM

I think I mentioned pretty much everything for mine. Just make sure he's wrinkly. :p

And, thank you, Dolly, for making this RP that much more awesome.

Serra Britt 06-20-2011 11:12 PM

I don't have any specific details, Cupcake. Thank you so much for this :3

Sage 06-20-2011 11:43 PM

I've sent them, Cupcake. Thanks again. :D

Espy 06-20-2011 11:55 PM

Name: Lucifer Dante Kaan(goes by Dante)

Class: Survivor

Abilities Basic first-aid, skilled in combat (both hand-to-hand and with firearms), and an almost superhuman capacity for movement (he can scale walls as easily as if he was walking on flat ground)

Items:

Purification Filter x1
Medial Interface Device x1
Courage Capsule x1
Water of Eden x2
Succor Capsule x2

Handgun x2
Pocket Knife x1
Medkit
Motorcycle (solar-powered, of course. Who in the world would even THINK of using a gas-powered one? -cough-)

Picture (optional): -will post when I draw one-
Physical Description: 25 years old, 5'7". Long-ish silver hair that he usually ties back, and tanned skin. Physically blind, but is able to sense people's aura to some degree. Decently strong.
Background: Learning from his friends, who had joined the military, he is skilled with firearms and all sorts of physical combat. He refused to join his friends, instead staying near home. His parents were killed in the rioting in the ghettos that followed in the decades after the Eschaton, and Dante himself was injured and blinded as he sought to protect his younger brother, who died a few years later from poisoning. Dante, though much more bitter now, is still overly protective of whatever or whomever he feels close to, as well as the memories of his family. He retains his fighting skills, and works as a mercenary and bounty hunter, living day to day off what he makes from the richer folk. He also has kept his witty sense of humor, though it has turned somewhat cold and sarcastic in recent years.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 12:01 AM

Awesome, Espy. I like him, reminds me of an Assassin. :p

Espy 06-21-2011 01:03 AM

Hm, you've a good point. Especially the movement part :P

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 01:10 AM

We'll have to make sure to go somewhere with big, tall buildings so you can show off. ;)

Espy 06-21-2011 01:11 AM

I'll need a haystack. Or a cart of geraniums. Or water. (Yay for references XD) But, nah, I was mostly trying to make up for his lack of...skills.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 01:16 AM

I forget if I mentioned or not, but I don't mind regular humans (Survivor and Soldier, mostly) being slightly superhuman in this. The world they're living in is extremely harsh, so if they've survived this long, they've adapted or at least begun to adapt. I imagine the Aery Alliance has super soldier programs in the works.

Espy 06-21-2011 02:40 AM

Speaking of supersoldiers, I had some random ideas a while ago for steampunkish ones, haha. I have way too many designs for stuff.

CupcakeDolly 06-21-2011 02:43 AM

Sweeeet. Are they nazis like in Sucker Punch? =P

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 09:19 AM

So, are we all set to get started, then? I can get us going in the RP thread, if you guys are all ready.

Serra Britt 06-21-2011 12:32 PM

I won't be able to do much until tonight but aside from that, I'm good to go ;)

Salone 06-21-2011 12:57 PM

Oy, I'm a friend of Cupcake's. Was reading up on your roleplay, I'm pretty interested in it. If you've got a spare slot, I wouldn't mind joining. Here's my profile, and I apologize for lurking the thread.

Name: Lev Gurevich, Lev of Tsavo

Class: Soldier

Abilities: Borderline supernatural resiliency, able to ignore physical pain, superior marksmanship.

Items: Le Mat Revolver (.32 Cal/410Gauge), Toz 17-01 Rifle (.22 LR), Purification Filter, Incindiary Laser, Survival Knife,

Picture : *To be uploaded.

Physical Description:
Lev has a hard-edged face framed in sooty black hair, marred by burns and scars. His right eye seems to open further than his left, giving him a look of feral alarm at times. He wears a long brown overcoat to protect himself from the elements. His most striking feature is the stake driven permanently through his left palm, permanently affixing a revolver to his hand. He looks to be in his late twenties, although even he couldn't tell you what age he was.

Background: Lev Gurevich had the misfortune of being born in the Tsavo region of Africa. He was a child soldier in countless conflicts, growing up in war-torn villages and slave camps. Death was a fact of life, and many he was forced to fight beside died. Lev always seemed to survive though, and he was forced to carry on into his adulthood. However, he wasn't exactly lucky One battle eventually got the better of him, and he was marked for execution after being taken prisoner. Nailed to a cross with a revolver still in his hand, his crucifix was set on fire. This was not the only time Lev had suffered though, and he miraculously survived being burned off the cross.
Unable to remove the stake that pinned the revolver to his hand,

Lev was forced to keep it as a permanent branding. Some have refered to him as The Man with a Gun in his Hand, and his prowess with said gun is phenomenal. Others who know his origins have called him Lev of Tsavo, in reference to the slaughter and his survival. Word has spread of his deranged exploits. Stories tell of fatal wounds, stabbings, even shots through the head failing to stop him. However, stories are easily made up. But if it serves his purposes, Lev has no objections to letting these stories continue.

Lev himself is a fractured personality. He knows that everything in life is futile, and yet he persists. He becomes intensely curious about people that don't try to kill him, then suddenly shuts them out. Having lost the developmental years of his youth, he finds it hard to socialize or relate to people. Lev becomes quickly defensive and disagreeable when pushed even slightly on any matter, not really knowing how to 'compromise'. He has no unique place in the world, as there are hundreds of soldiers, and he himself is a somewhat broken one. He secretly suspects that he is in fact dead, and the earth he walks today is his own hell. He knows he has survived many things he should not have, and wonders if maybe his body never left the cross at all.

I can change his class to Survivor if need be, since he is not currently serving with any recognized military force.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 01:08 PM

Hi, Salone. Glad you decided to join us. We do have a couple slots remaining, so welcome aboard. :)

He's really interesting, at a glance, too. Can't wait to see him in play.

And, Soldier is fine. You're welcome to a couple more starting items, if you want, though you certainly don't have to take them.

And... on that note, I'm just going to do a quick recap. Me + Serra + Dolly + Sage + Espy + Salone, equals 6 members. That's pretty much right where I wanted to be. Quiet, if you read this, you still have a spot if find time to join. I'll take up to one more player on top of that, but that'll be all.

I really scratched my brain trying to think of more items, but he's not really the 'well prepared' kind. And I seriously considered counting the stake in his hand as an item, since I guess he could technically backhand someone with it, although I'm sure it would cause some aggravation to the wound. And thanks for taking me on!

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 01:23 PM

That's fine. Honestly, my guy doesn't need much in the way of items, either, but I designed them, so I'd feel bad if I didn't put some of them to use. :p

Sage 06-21-2011 01:30 PM

Welcome, Salone! Your character seems really interesting.

I'm good with starting today, although like Serra, I can't post until later tonight.

Salone 06-21-2011 01:34 PM

Little bit the same for me. I'm a late nighter myself.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-21-2011 02:08 PM

Well, we're all set to go. Character profiles are up, first GM post is up, and my character's first post is up. Feel free to jump in whenever you want. :)

CupcakeDolly 06-21-2011 03:20 PM

Whoo, I might take sloppy seconds then. =3 I've got a little bit before work, but like everyone else here, I'm usually active most at night.

Espy 06-21-2011 05:12 PM

Whew. Scribbled this out in class. Basically, his hair is way lighter than in here, and everything that's not colored, beside his skin (face and left shoulder) is black and silver.
