As are you, from what I have seen so far. So do tell me: who are you?
|
Masked dancers all 'round
Girls wearing beautiful gowns "May I have this dance?"~ (I don't know. Just made it up on the spot xD It's sort of short and I'm wondering if I should put more >.>) |
Haiku are always short. Though apparently once can say a heck of a lot more in 17 syllables of Japanese than 17 syllables of English. so English is as a titch of a disadvantage.
|
The disadvantage
is more prominent among western than east |
Quiet:
Your eggs have been clicked Hopefully they grow up strong I know how it feels (for them to die) Bracket parts don't count for the syllables XD XD I love writing poems. I wrote pretty good ones years ago, haven't written some in ages. Haiku poems are funny and easy to write XD |
Thank you, Elf Healer,
For your aid to my dragons. A generous act. :) |
I believe I'm sad;
Loneliness now takes one, who is known as Fenrir A forgotten God, Wrestled in chains of duties Gifts to him ribbon. |
You are most welcome
It is my pleasure to help Those who are in need :) |
This Haiku contest
Has turned into Haiku chat Hard to find entries :P |
perhaps entries by PM?
(is not speaking in haiku) Or am I really? ... |
Are they all entries?
I will enter as I go Because it's my speak. |
This confuses me!
I do not know what to write. Knotted maze of thoughts! Tis a silly thread. What do we do about it? Blame the Funkduder! |
Really. I'm resisting the urge to facepalm at this. But I've been known the speak in Shakespearian/pentameter. Which would...actually...be perfect for this event.
(c-c-c-combo breaker!) |
Iambic pentameter yeah?
Unless of course, one was a commoner or a fool. Then regular prose works well enough. ;) |
-headdesk- Actually, irl, that was a head-computer.
Somehow it just comes naturally to me, And Espy plays the fool too many times~ |
Natural enough that not everyone tends to notice, or so I've seen. It does explain the funny gaps in the writng though.
|
Speaking of which, I hate it when people try to force syllables into haikus, or pentameter. It just sounds so darn wrong >.<
|
Yeah. I try to follow the natural lilt of words when I can. This does mean I tend to write a fair bit of free verse rather than formed poetry. I can lose patience with a sonnet and try and cram a word in to finish it.
|
Sonnets are just two lines too long for me, because I suck at ending stuff.
|
Indeed, the attempt
is trite when not naturally spoken out to them Also you, espy. You look absolutely...nice, a good change for you |
My usual colors.
Turns out I was not as tired as I thought I was. (I got tired of red for a while, explaining the purple avi some time ago.) |
A red or purple?
I do not care of color. You still look stunning. |
-blushes- Why thank you >.<
|
You are welcome
|
Hm I might consider this... though I write Haiku better in my own language :/
I might still try though ^_^;; |
Have my entry written up. Nothing overy fancy, just a standard haiku. Would I be able to PM it to you, Sei to keep it seperate -and easier to distinguish- from the chat in the thread, or do you want them posted here?
EDIT: whoops! Just read the thread back and found out my answer. Resolved! I'll PM it to you and maybe post it here later. :) |
Random question. Can I write a tanka (5-7-5-7-7) instead of just a haiku? It's much easier for me.
|
I asked that earlier. I believe it was fine but you can check over on page one to be sure. :)

is the one that you do claim? Is English not yours? |
The night is alight
with beautiful sounds this time unlike last night's droll. I figured I would join in :3 |
That definately makes a strong image, Shirelin.
|
Thank you, Quiet *Smiles*
|
not an entry, this is espescially for sei
Ashy came back home. She loves Sei so much that she wrote a haiku for him |
"The importance of this event"
This is a new age A door to a centaury of which I'm a part |
Wow... you guys're good! xD
|
Underestimate
not our fierce love for haiku. To write is to live. |
The queen welcomes us.
Stunning lights and fine music. Will you dance with me? |
Espy spins out poems
Without too much prior thought... ...Lest she has a block. |
Don't think much, old friend
For here in this place we talk anew, under masks. |
Not a hiku but a poem I wanted to share anyway...
Said by many heard by so few three little words I love you I hope you all like it, sleep deprivation talking lol. |
