i wouldn't say having to take it to a store is easy to upgrade, in the way i mean it. I like to find a piece I want, order it online and stick it in myself with no fuss. If they become upgradable to that degree I think I'd consider getting on.

Airina 01-01-2012 12:42 AM

I have to say that i love my Mac so much!!

Arikana 01-01-2012 05:18 PM

In ten, fifteen years...it probably won't really matter whether you go with a Mac or PC for gaming reasons as both will be top notch. :3

But then that just leaves computer platforms like Linus left behind... XD;

Alpha 01-01-2012 05:51 PM

Yeah, Linux isn't that bad. It is reminiscent of Windows, but I haven't had much experience with it. Just with PC and Mac. And I prefer my Mac to a very high degree!

Ducky 01-01-2012 08:50 PM

My PC is set for a duel booth with Windows 7 and Linux. I don't really use Linux day to day, i just like to learn the OS, since i want to go do computer stuff for a living.

Airina 01-01-2012 10:30 PM

What is Linux exactly? My old boyfriend used it and always just said oh well you won't understand so I won't tell you there's really no need.... *rolls eyes*

Ducky 01-01-2012 10:58 PM

It's an open source OS, so anyone can make their own version of it. it gives you a lot more freedom and choice, and a lot of customization option. It's generally only good for a tech savy person who likes to mess with that sort of thing

Airina 01-01-2012 11:18 PM

Ahh that wasn't hard to explain and that makes a lot of sense

Ducky 01-01-2012 11:26 PM

There's probably more to it than that, i'm not knowledgeable on it.

Airina 01-01-2012 11:31 PM

But at least you gave me more than my ex ever did....

Alpha 01-02-2012 11:38 AM

That's actually a pretty good description. It is more friendly to customization than the Mac OS or even Windows. At least to my understanding.

Airina 01-02-2012 12:18 PM

That makes sense thank you guys for being sweet enough to actually tell me

Ducky 01-02-2012 01:13 PM

No problem :3

Airina 01-02-2012 07:21 PM

I really like your new avi ducky!

Ducky 01-02-2012 07:45 PM

hehe thank you!

Airina 01-02-2012 08:00 PM

I can't remember ducky were you a Mac or a pc?

Ducky 01-02-2012 08:16 PM

I'm a PC, but have nothing against Mac. They simply down allow me to do the things i want.

Airina 01-02-2012 08:19 PM

Thank you! I personally love my Mac. After killing two pcs with my music I convinced my parents to get me a mac

Ducky 01-02-2012 08:24 PM

i like to build my own PCs, and then upgrade and tinker with them regularly. That's not something that Mac allows. My PC is also my main game system, and make isn't on par in that area quite yet.

Arikana 01-02-2012 10:18 PM

Yeah, it's pretty hard to be able to tinker with a Mac what with them being encased in an aluminum case.

What kind of tinkering do you like to do with your PC, Ducky? :0

Ducky 01-02-2012 10:25 PM

I just like to build them, repair them myself, upgrade them myself, overclock my graphics card and processor... all sorts of stuff x3

Alpha 01-03-2012 01:50 AM

I like to do that as well, but I prefer doing it with towers than with laptops. More room to mess with parts and more I can add in.

Ducky 01-03-2012 01:54 AM

I've never bothered with a laptop. They're really not designed to be tinkered with, like a tower is. I've taken one apart out of curiosity, but that's it.

Airina 01-03-2012 01:58 AM

I have a laptop because that's the easiest for me

Ducky 01-03-2012 02:01 AM

I may end up buying one, if my future plans go through. back to college, travelling etc. A desktop is sort of useless when it comes to mobility >_>

Airina 01-03-2012 02:03 AM

Yeah mine's nice to be able to travel with and such

Ducky 01-03-2012 02:04 AM

That's pretty much the only thing i think a laptop has over a desktop, but it's a rather big thing.

I think i would go for a Mac laptop, since i love to try all Operating Systems.

Airina 01-03-2012 02:15 AM

I got mine because I was going off to college

Alpha 01-03-2012 02:22 AM

Same here Airi.

And yeah, much the same here in opinion Ducky. Although I might tweak a bit to say laptops are coming to be used more and more just for that very same mobility so instead of having one for home and one for travel there is just one computer.

Airina 01-03-2012 02:24 AM

Once I get an apartment and the money I'm gonna get a desktop just not sure what kind yet

Alpha 01-03-2012 02:29 AM

All depends on what you want it for as to what to go for. Could always have one custom built though to your specifications.

Ducky 01-03-2012 02:31 AM

I all ready ahve a build for a new gaming/video editing desktop sorted out, I'm jsut lacking any sort of funds. I seriously doubt I'll ever resort to having a laptop as my sole machine. If i do get one it will be cheap and only for browsing and Office.

Airina 01-03-2012 12:09 PM

That makes sense. But I would not advise getting a netbook..... Those suck......

Sounds like fun. And pretty awesome to be able to just play around and make your computer better. >w<

Though I think I'd still prefer a laptop over a desktop cause desktops are bulking and take up space. Laptops are so much more convenient and don't take up too much space. And with how messy my room is, the more space I have the better. XD;

Airina 01-03-2012 02:51 PM

Lol in that sense I agree to but when I actually have money and space I would love to

Ducky 01-03-2012 03:11 PM

I hate netbooks. A lot. They're dead now anyway. Tablet PCs have taken over.

Airina 01-03-2012 03:37 PM

And tablets are so much better!!! I really want an iPad......

Ducky 01-03-2012 03:46 PM

I want an Asus Transformer Prime. It's currently the most powerful tablet on the market <3

Airina 01-03-2012 03:50 PM

Ahhh I think the iPad appeals to me because of everything it can do with the MacBook and iPod....

Ducky 01-03-2012 03:52 PM

Which is an appeal lost on me since my only apple device is an iPod Classic XD
