The instant she looked up his smile was there to greet hers.
"Do you think me like my cousins'? I am no beast. Others may want forget that there is a human side to things now but I'd rather see my imperfections." He had come to his knees now. "Then by all means if you have the strength and think so necessary. But the word to the wise say that after some one heals you." He chuckled lightly reaching slowly at her wound, making no sudden movements. He lightly touched it and instantly volts went through her. He slid his hand across the wound which seemed to stitch up on its own.He dropped a bullet that had not gone all the way through. "There didn't hurt that much did it." A light smile played on his face. "Now would you like a lollipop or the smokes here?" Despite now she could rip him in half he seemed not to care. |
Anurah stood up her hands in fist "..." She looked over the smokes and let out a small sigh grabbing them and shoving them in her back pocket she began to walk away. then looked back "humans... did this to the world.." she glared at her human hand before walking forward.
She thought about him and the smile he had gave her he was the first to show kindness to her since her father she looked back again for a second "...Thank you..I guess.." she said in a lot tone. lighting up a cig she pulled from the box in her back pocket |
Rail got up slipping back n his gloves, stuffing his hands into his pockets he began to slowly follow her.
"Indeed you are right but what creates will destroy." He followed a little behind her when her thank you had got to him. "No need " His right hand slipped out of its pocket, he held a cig to his lips and patted himself down with the other hand. "Light?" He asked with one brow up, his intentions of following should be apperent but he was polite about it |
Anurah turned to him and put her cigs against his. She wasnt looking at him just to the cig which had made her look silly in a cute way though she had not noticed. She wondered in her head why she was interacting when at the time she needed to get revenge. but her human part had loved the attention flash backs of her father and her. her eyes became saddened yet she still stood there her cig against his.
|
Rail couldn't help but stare for a moment as he took in all that had just happened she had not only surprised him with her movements but now just looking at her with so little distance she was indeed beautiful.
His mind finally clicked and he sucked in lightly. His death stick lit slowly. He smiled he couldn't resist the opportunity. "Don't step into the moonlight. The moon might get jealous of your beauty and decide to get revenge." It had been a long time since he had met any one as interesting as her, and her craftsman was superb he could hear both flesh and machinery work so perfectly that it made the sweetest sound in his ear. His cig slipped slightly. He noticed the sadness in her eye. "Whats wrong? you look as if some one just stole the last bit of hope." |
Anurah blinked snapping out of her trance she had a slight blush on her face which quickly wen't away her eyes going back to there normal cold appearance she took a step back "Don't blame the moon...ust blame your smile It kisses many devils that were fashioned out of style" she then stood up straight pushing her hood back up and covering her face. "Maybe we will meet up again in the future. And I'll return the favor" she said her cig lighting up from the darkness.
Anurah then side stepped pushing her hands in her pockets and walking past him. She wondered why he pestered her not understanding the feelings she had it made her frustrated she felt more emotions then usual and that she did not like. but for some reason these emotions weren't like those she normally felt it was not rage, fear or sorrow. but something else. |
Rail chuckled.
"How true these lips have seen many devils." He side stepped watching her leave. "Its funny you run from being human and yet I would like nothing more to be as such." The cig lit as he bowed. "Maybe next time we could dance a little bit?" He called after her. "Its a wonderful feeling when you do it in the pale shine of the full moon." He pushed the cig to the side and smirked.Stuffing his hands in his pocket he stepped into the darkness he fangs glistened for a while. His next words a whisper. "Oh how wonderful it is." |
Anurah listened to his words yet understanding them was something very hard for her as she was walking time passed and more and more his words had gotten to her she let out a small sigh and pulled out a cig looking at it. It was what she smoked she sighed why did little things such simple things like that even matter? she growled and looked around then quickly lit it sitting against and old building.
The weather had been cold she glared wondering if there was a place of heat anywhere near she decided to charge from the energy in her and closed her eyes hugging her knees and sliding until she was lying down she fell asleep. |
He pushed his way through the dark opening, scanning the room. He noted the quick pause in the general conversation before they realized he was not a threat. Weaving through the crowds, Ezra ended up at a table that was close to a window. He lazily looked out as he heard the thick footsteps of a person stop and loom just above him. A smile slipped on to his lips. “You idiot pup.” the person said. “Hello Cassidy, where’s butch?” He laughed at the joke he lamely said to often to the girl, unable to keep a full grin off his face. She swatted at the lid of his cap temporarily making him blind. “You really are a fool” She took the seat across from him waving her hand to call over a waitress. “Breakfast is on me.” He smiled at his red headed friend. As of late she was the only one he could trust. Even though an eye patch handicapped her, her altered genetics made more then a formidable foe. She was one of the few were wolf breed humanoids. When Ezra sedated his hunger he was able to think about the task at hand. Cassidy looked around the room before speaking. The small talk of weather immediately turned to something dangerous. “I can still smell them… why didn’t you get rid of them.” “Shit hit the fan, besides he never showed up. I waited an entire day” “You have to get rid of that fast.” She said in-between munching on a bone “Its hot property, if I can smell it you can bet they can, it’s only a matter of time before some one looses self-control.” She was of course referring to praxis. It was a blood substitute drug invented with the vain hopes of trying to tame the vampire populations of Shane. When the drug was first introduced many thought it worked. It stopped cravings in many vampires. However the drug had been untested for a prolonged period of time. It was soon discovered that many vampires found it as addicting as heroin and made them twice as likely to kill more humans. It was soon labeled catnip for vampires, going underground like most illegal drugs. Which also made it a pretty profitable career. He knew anything she was telling him it was for his own good yet he was inclined give off a cool air. “I have a plan, the plan was to give you 20 percent.” “No dice, I don’t think I have a buyer that’s willing to touch the stuff since …” Ezra had never seen Cassidy visually shake before. It immediately set off more alarms then her warning. He was watching his plan go into ashes. She shook her head. “I might have some one that knows some one, I hate sending any one to him." She gazed at him with eyes full of worry. She knew the desperate times that Ezra’s life led him through. “I think your tough enough, but please don’t be stupid.” |
Tikno watched Rail as he walked away. Once Rail was out of sight, he turned his attention to the child who's hand he held. Tikno knelt in front of the child.
"Don't be afraid, this wont hurt, ok?" He spoke softly. The child looked at him fearfully, but nodded. Tikno placed one hand on the childs chest and the other on his back, then closed his eyes and concentrated. Underneath the childs skin he could feel the muscles, feel the tension from fear bind those muscles. Slowly, ever so slowly, Tikno spread very low flames from his hands through the muscles over the childs body. The fire was just hot enough to relax the muscles, easing them out once more to their unclenched, natural state. To the onlookers, the childs skin glowed with a warm light, which spread from Tikno's hands throughout the childs body. Once it had reached every muscle, Tikno retracted the flames back into his hands, then opened his eyes. The childs face was no longer distrusting, no longer fearful, but content. Tikno stood once more, and looked around. "Who's child is this?" He asked calmly. A woman stepped from the crowd, looking up at the man who was shot with tearful eyes. She glared at Tikno, then snatched the childs hand away. "How dare you touch my child! How dare you!" The woman screamed at Tikno. Tikno watched her with calm eyes, then turned away. The childs face had been reward enough. The womans screech cut off in a strangled exclamation as she realized he wasnt listening. Tikno went to each person that was wounded, and asked if they would like healing. Some turned him away, some even tried hitting him for offering, but others accepted, and for those that did Tikno repeated the process. For those who were cut, Tikno also cauterized the wound and sealed it shut with heat, so that they would heal quicker. For those who were burned, the charred skin still smoking, Tikno placed his hands on the burns, and reversed the flow, so that all that was left was the dead skin. Once everyone was taken care of, Tikno turned his back on the crowd and walked away. He had a job to do. He had to find this man with a large pack. He decided to go look in the nicer part of town. A large pack seemed to indicate a trader, maybe he could find something in the market place. Upon reached the market, Tikno put his hands in his pockets and started walking around. He kept his head down, but his eyes didnt miss anything. He stopped by each vendor, and asked after the man, but most wouldnt say anything. Either they didn't know or they weren't telling, so Tikno would move on to the next vendor. After hours of searching, he was getting no where. He sighed, and began looking for a place to rest. |
Rail sighed he had slipped through the darkness. Now he stood on the railing looking down as the sun began to disappear over the horizon. He lit another cig taking a deep breath in. A smile luring onto his face.
"You may be able to hide behind bricks and cement but that smell is ever so clear." Rail leaned forward and fell off he let the wind take him the night was beginning to be his it was at the peak of it hour. He could feel the moonlight pulse through his blood. "Hold it for a bit longer I'll gladly pay handsomely." Right before hitting the ground he seemed to burst into the darkness. Bats flying out from a near by gutter. |
Cassidy motioned for two drinks. She slowly got up from where they were setting and disappeared to an unknown location. He sipped the drink leisurely wondering just how deep he had dug his grave. By the time Cassidy returned the ice in her drink had melted into water. She looked as though she had broken out into a cold sweat. She downed her drink in one giant gulp before looking at Ezra. “Alright Kiddo Ricardo is willing to buy everything from you, you name the price he’ll have it. Get in give him the drugs get out… don’t try anything funny and he won’t try anything… “ Ezra nodded he was about to take a sip of his drink when she threw something at him along with a set of keys. “Put that on and don’t take it off, and I’ll take 2 percent.” He held up a strange little collar giving Cassidy a curious glance. She rolled her eyes. “It has my scent, it will make you and your cargo smell less like fresh meat.“ He nodded in understanding. “Where can I find him?” “The industrial district. He owns a warehouse that he uses for laundering, Warehouse 692 level three. Ask for Ricardo.” She gave him a hardy pat on the back slipping a few dollars into his coat pocket as well. “I’d understand if you chicken out. Here’s some hold over funds in case you do.” She waved bye as she left the tavern. Ezra let out a sigh as he debated about what he wanted to do, exactly how desperate he was for money. Finally he left the Tavern making his way to the industrial district. |
Anurah woke up in the middle of the night a bad dream had coursed through her head she sat up quickly and realized how cold the night had become. Her skin more human then not was now causing her to shake she let out a sigh and stood up rubbing her arms.
Shelter she thought but then realized that the only shelter would of course be the small town she just half massacred. Being as that was she knew she would have to stay there for the night and freeze. She let out a small sigh and lit a cig. Watching as the cherry lit up and out made her think she blew some smoke out. moving her hand over her cig she felt the small heat radiating from it she moved her hand closer and winced as she burn't her palm. Anurah grinned a little that her skin slowly started healing again. A flash back hit her the smell of smoke and coffee as well as machinery and her father sitting back in his huge chair Anurah running up age five wondering what he was doing and seeing him smoking. her father turned to her his hair was just now graying and he had a wise and kind hearted look to him she shook her head snapping out of it. |
Sand. Everywhere there was sand. It went up her nose, got stuck in her fur, eventually ending up in her hairballs unless she shifted for a smooth shower. Though the latter was occurring less and less. Three towns, four countrysides, and one shower in-between it all. It was driving Cha crazy. But luckily she had been finding shelter to cover her from the sweltering days, saving her energy for the night travels. Sometimes trucks would roll by and if they slowed down enough, she could leap and hitch a ride unnoticed with them. The same went for food. Though sometimes if a person spotted her, they'd set out cream and slices of steak for her. She couldn't understand why, but she wasn't picky in the least.
However, this was one of her more unfortunate moments. No signs of anyone heading in either direction and even less evidence of non-rabid wildlife available. She growled in frustration and curled up more under the leafy hedge she'd found. The city was only a few kilometers away, but that would be enough for her to possibly pass out from dehydration. Unless she waited for night again. And it seemed to be taking forever for the sun to set. Stay and wait or take her chances? If anything, she might not even make it until tonight, so indeed it was now or never. Now sounded better. A hiss-turned-roar and she bolted, trying to run in a straight enough line to hit all the shaded spots along the way. |

(( Okay and Why does Tiko want to find my character? ))
Along the way he decided he would make a stop to his little bungalow. Getting to it was like a maze but once you were there it provided a great view of the urban sprawl. When you actually looked inside his home it was more like a spacious tool shed that he had commandeered for himself when he was young. He had grown attached to the dwelling adding aspects as he needed it. He unlocked the door to his home, groping around the darkness for the light switch. For all the advances that mankind had made, Ezra was forced to live pretty primitively. In one corner there was an early electric stove, powered by a rechargeable generator that he had stolen. It provided enough heat to keep him from freezing to death in the harshest of winters. 5 paces from his kitchen was his bed room. The lump of cotton he called his bed was the hardest to get into his home. He dropped his cargo in corner along with the rest of his items. Letting his eyes drift off into sleep. |
{{ well he doesn't not any more lol...and it was for me though...I am half vamp I want my product that you have}}
Ezra's bed creaked a bit soon after the lights were turned on. the sound of a zippo lighter was heard and then a deep intake of breath. "You know you are harder to find when you have that girls scent on you." Rail blew out smoke and pointed at the cargo that leaned against the wall. "I'm running low and almost to regular cigs, your precious cargo there.." Rail stood. "I would like half of it and I am willing to pay handsomely." Rail hoped he would not get attacked he was on the edge at the moment his fix was low and he wound on his cheek strangely had not healed yet and the smell of another vampire especially a girls had him on edge. "So how about it?" |
(( well then we'll see who wins this game of tag >D))
Ezra eyes flew open with shock. He had somehow been careless. One hand reached under his pillow while the other one clenched his cargo close to his chest. How and who this man was he wasn’t sure. He didn’t think Ricardo would go against the terms Cassidy at set. Ezra shook his head no fiercely. He quickly aimed at the little glow of light that was standing on his bed. His eyes quickly flashed red as he summoned the magic for his gun shooting at the man. A bright red light blinded everyone in the room as the gun expelled a flaming bullet. Rather than hitting the target where he intended Erza noticed that the man’s pants were now on fire and the flames were rapidly engulfing his crotch. He used this time to get away. Rushing out of the door he had no time to lock his home, he hopped it would still be there when he got back. He slid down the fire escape into the shadowed streets below. He ran as fast and as far away as he could zig- sagging in the streets so his smell couldn’t be easily traced. Eventually his frantic running ceased in the middle of a crowded market. |
Oh blessed be, night had finally set in. A shiver ran along her spine to the tip of her tail, where she flicked it once in mild irritation. Blinking from underneath larger segments of rubble, she allowed her nocturnal vision to take over and started noting the directions of the streets and appearances of the buildings, the scents and rustling sounds that were within range of her predator senses. So this was Shane City. Visually it didn't seem to differ much from other cities, just that it had a larger commerce flow. But that wasn't enough to impress Cha. What she wanted was a niche to claim as hers, preferably one with a sink if a shower was too much to ask. And it wasn't as if she was poor, she just had the ability to make small change bleed. Though sitting like a lurker wouldn't help that dream become real any faster.
Curling and uncurling her tail for the last time, she got off her haunches and started to pad towards one of the alleyways where she hoped to discover food. From what her nose could tell, if she continued towards the 'central', then she would find food faster rather than later. And indeed her nose did not lie. This must be one of those rumored 'night markets' she had heard about, similar to what it was during the day, only at night it was all for the brave ones. Well, she didn't consider herself a coward, but that still didn't mean she had to interact on a furless level. Besides, she was more likely to get free treats this way. Only problem was finding someone willing to treat. Ducking around the outskirts and weaving in-between legs, it seemed that the majority of participants were either too self-absorbed or too menacing to want to bother with a strange feline. She had better chances of someone making her into a treat than buying one for her, silver bits flashing from their hidden pockets. Her eyes narrowed. It seemed like she really would have to shed her skin for this occasion, but paused as she was about to find another shaded alleyway. Heavy footfalls and heavier breathing were heading in her direction fast and it made her fur bristle in warning. A few bounding leaps to slip under a table and she had the perfect hiding spot to avoid said feet. The owner of the footfalls finally appeared, a boy carrying a case of something. Trailing him were even more peculiar scents, none recognizable. 'Interesting', she mused, taking in his rushed appearance and drawing her body in close as if preparing to pounce. |
The reaction had taken him by no surprise as his pants lit on fire as the man ran past him he sighed waving his hand across the fire.
"Useless." He flicked off the lights disappearing into the darkness his almost gone cig bounced off the ground. The cig going out of course. The scent was easy to follow none the less and He stepped out of the shadows noticing a figure next to him.He reached down and petted the beast (Chyeanne). Reaching into his pocket he took out some jerky and dropped it for the animal. "You mam have a weird scent to you but please excuse me." He stepped fully out of the shadows weaving slowly through the crowd coming behind the young fellow. "That wasn't very nice you know." He saluted him. "I just want to make a deal I have no intention of hurting you." |
Tikno was looking for a place to sleep in the market place when he noticed a man rushing into the crowd of people. The man carried a pack, and something clicked. This was the person he was looking for. Tikno carefully turned to follow him, when Rail appeared seemingly out of nowhere behind the man. Tikno sensed the man's nervousness, but he felt somehow compelled to help Rail, and so made ready to catch him if the man bolted. He circled out through the crowd, making sure not to be seen by the man, so he was walking to the side. He had little doubt that Rail could catch him if he ran, but Tikno was going to be as helpful as he could.
|
((._.; Odin, my character's under a table. I'm nowhere near Ezra. ))
|
How this man found him so fast was beyond him. “I don’t know what you’re talking about” He didn’t want to make a deal with this man. Not when his cargo was already promised to some one else. He looked around for another escape route. A plan was quickly forming in his head. The Blonde, even with his tattered pants looked a bit well to do, to be in the slums with the humans. “Look sir I don’t know who you are and you obviously don’t belong in this part of town so back off.” He growled at the man slowly backing up towards a perfume stand. With the mass of people around he could easily create a diversion. And he did with one word. With all his might he yelled “VAMPIRE!”
Time stood still in the market place as every one’s gaze converged onto The Blonde fellow like a herd of lions on a elk. The nearest one whipped out a dagger, it was the domino that made the rest fall. Soon the others with whatever weapon they could muster converged on him as well. Mothers and children scattered into the wind. Ezra took this as his cue; he ducked and rolled under the nearest stall still clenching his back. It was time for part two of his brilliant plan. He positioned himself underneath a perfume stall. He searched around the ground until he found what he was looking for. Just before he was about to activate the spell, he noticed an unusual rare looking cat. He glanced at the cat before deciding he couldn’t let it suffer for his actions. “Here kitty” He called to it gently coaxing it into his bosom. Ezra had already lost time; he could hear the brawl heating up. He pricked a finger drawing a circle on the ground. Mustering his strength he called forth the rainwaters below into giant gazer. The water spouted through the perfume table, raining both perfume on any one with in the radius. It was enough that every one smelled the same. With that Ezra slipped into the hole he created. He watched the hole mend itself as soon as he was falling along with his cargo into the current beneath the city. Running around most of the day, with limited food resources exhausted his body. He didn't need his eyesight to tell him that he had used up most of his energy making the spout. He felt himself slipping out of reality as he splashed into the water. |

Cha stared at the man who had appeared with wary eyes, recoiling and hissing as he reached out to pet her, but not letting his gift of jerky go unappreciated. An annoyed throaty purr was the only response she offered as she picked up the meat and carried it back under the table, dropping it to the ground and sniffing it suspiciously. There had been more than one incident that the giver had laced her food with something, so this time might not-
Before she could finish her inspection a tumult began in the square. Cha left the meat where it lay as she poked her head from underneath the table to watch as the two men from before were... separating, the one who'd caught her attention before running in her direction again. Had he no one else to rush at? But as she ducked away from his invasion of her hiding spot, she noticed he seemed to be getting weaker. And again with the case. Her ears twitched as he called out to her, her fur beginning to stand on end as she felt energies being focused and manipulated. Glancing back to where the crowd seemed to be going mad and taking another look at the man before her, she figured her chances with him would be safer than not and leapt towards his outstretched arm, her claws extending enough to dig into the jacket material as she continued to observe to see what would happen next. And what came next was the opposite of her previous torment and woe. Where before there was a lack of water she was now being surrounded by it, engulfed in a maddening stream to which she could only respond to with 'cling to this guy or get swept away!' As always, the latter seemed to be the worse of the two and she clung to him for dear life. His, hers, both, right now it was just most important to cling. By the time they reached the bottom, Cha was gasping for air and feeling an ache she wasn't too familiar with. But from what she could tell, the gracious hand had turned into a deathtrap as his conscience seemed to be fading fast. 'Damn!' she swore mentally, not having wanted to change so soon. But they were in water and this would probably be the closest she would get to a shower anytime soon, so with a resolute growl she allowed her body to extend and reshape to that of a young woman. The change happened fast, but the water was moving faster. As she rapidly blinked to keep her eyesight as clear as possible, she took note of where the man and his case were, kicking against the flow to reach them both at the same time. What little light was available improved with her nocturnal ability, but it showed nothing positive. No side stone to cling to, no plateau to balance on... this was going to be a ride to the other side of the city. A ride that seemed to take forever as she continued to bob along, struggling to keep their heads above the water. After what felt like an eternity, she suddenly noticed her feet rubbing along the ground and caught herself, slipping backwards as the ground gave way underneath her. She yelped, caught herself before completely falling back in the water and had to feel with her hands for the boy, holding him by his torso and dragging them to what general feeling told her was a pile of wet sand before rolling him into a fetal position and her spreading out on her back. 'A.. underground sandbank? Trippy city.' ((Edit: It's okay, I made it work. c: )) |
By some miracle he was still alive. Purely a miracle. His body felt weighted down by the water. He groped around in the dark. He found his satchel to the left of him, but to his right he felt something fleshy. It wasn’t furry like the cat… The Cat… Alarm bells went off in his head. He suddenly started to pat his chest. The little fur ball was missing. He gulped inwardly. It was his fault if it died. He slowly raised a shaky hand into the air against the weight of his clothes. Slowly the oxygen around his hand began to spark, with the last of his magic, he created a small flaming ball he could use as a torch. He let gravity take hold of him until his eyes adjusted to the dim light.
He had lucked out or so he thought. Not only was he alive but also the current had pushed him to a sandbank. It was then that he remembered the flesh that his other hand felt. He lifted himself up peering over to see a young girl curled up in ball. His heart sank in his chest. She was sopping wet, and must have been the one that saved him. He was about to speak to the girl when his throat unexpectedly threw up the recess water it had been retaining. He rolled over so that he wouldn’t hit the girl wrenching up what little food his stomach had not processed. |
Rail growled as he yelled his plan.
"Fool." The night was at its peak for him and his strength at the peak. so it was no wonder that he drew his gun fired three shots the first was at the man with the catnip like cargo. the bullet would graze his cheek but that was all. the second disarmed the man closes to him shooting right through his palm and the third shot was up in the air. His mind had snapped but his body had reacted fast enough from killing the fellow.Rail growled after Ezra. "What the hell do you think I was after! This is not over!" Rail ducked just as a pipe swung over his head stepping back he sent an elbow into the attackers adamant. His mind was racing like crazy so many humans so many attackers and yet he truly did not want to kill any of them, a man came to attack from the front but stumbled making the perfect target for Rail's knee which had shot up square into the base of his chin. The man fell knocked out cold, Rail side stepped sliding his hand near the armpit of another attacker the arm went limp and the man tried moving it again but by the time he realized it was useless he sent his elbow into the man's mouth crushing some teeth and sending him to the floor. Rail stood up straight taking out several other is the process. Placing his left hand to his temple he sighed. "ENOUGH!" That hadn't worked at all as he took a small step back an attackers arm swung past his ear and his elbow crashed on his shoulder. Rail reaching up with little effort grabbed the arm and brought it down shattering the elbow completely. He saw a glimpse of red and smiled. "Tick!" It was the nickname he had given tikno. Moving to the side he shot his hand into the face of another attacker grabbing him and throwing him through the crowd clearing a path to Tikno. "Distraction!" Thats all he said when he ran towards him for Pete's sake Tikno had one ready he didn't want to kill but he could feel his mind slipping. Luckily no one had hit him ye.. As he was thinking it a thick blade shot towards him moving he couldn't make it out of the way slicing through his cheek it connected with the other wound that for some reason was still fresh. His cheek split open blood sprayed from the side of his face. Rail's eyes narrpwed and his hand shot forward as he ducked this man was better then the other but he felt the warm great essence drench his hand. As Rail stood he looked at the damage. His arm was halfway through the attacker throat. His eyes widened. "jus..jus...just a child!" Indeed the dead corps was no older then 16. "Tikno! NOW!!" He had to get out of here and quick. |
After that exhausting ordeal, Cha was thankful for the mound of sand. Even if it was sand, she didn't care, it was something she could rest in. It didn't take long before she started to doze, the way her shoulder muscles were twitching acting as pre-warning signs that she would be sore in the morning. A brush against her side made her growl in warning, not wanting to be roused at this time. She was sleeping, couldn't they tell? At least, she wanted to.
And it was dark... maybe it was still night. Meaning her laying and not moving was justified. But then through her eyelids she saw a faint glow and covered her arms, it couldn't be morning yet. That was also when she remembered... her mind had been ready to slip into a comforting retreat, but that also meant she'd be giving in to her inner critter. That wasn't necessary at the time. Especially at the sudden retching sound. Cha sat upright, having pulled a dagger from her secret pocket but relaxing once she saw it was just the man having reached consciousness. And it was a relief. If he had been dead.... well, he would've been dead. There wasn't too much she could add to it. And she didn't feel like talking, her whole body hurt still. With little to no grace she let herself fall back onto her side, re-sheathing the little blade and inching close enough behind the guy to rub his back. It was meant more as a soothing act than anything else, he seemed like he'd been ready to collapse ages ago. |
Tikno began fighting immediatly as the crowd converged on Rail. He growled in frustration, lashing out with fist, elbow, forarm, smashing and incapacitating anyone who got near him, but never killing. He heard Rail shout at the man, shout at the crowd. But his cry of enough was not heeded. They converged even more, and Rail was fighting more and more. Tikno had to reach him soon to help. Then he heard Rail shout at him for a distraction. He raced forward as the blade sliced into Rail and Rail shot his arm foward.
"Rail! NO!" But it was too late. The young boys eyes widened as his arms dropped the weapons they were holding. Tikno shot foward to place himself right next to Rail. Luckily the crowd had stepped back to make a circle around them, suprised at the violence that had just happened. Tikno's eyes flashed, now he was mad. His hands opened, palms out, and immediatly caught fire. The fire spread up his forarms, as it coallesced in his hands. Suddenly his arms tensed and the balls of fire that had formed shot out and burnt a path in the pavement around them in a circle. All this took less than a second. "NOW YOU WILL SEE WHY YOU SHOULDN'T TRY TO FIGHT US!!!" He yelled at the crowd around them, then lifted his arms, which were glowing even brighter, above his head. His arms came down, and the fire of the circle around them shot up, creating a massive piller of flame around them. It burned no one, but anyone trying to approach it from either inside or out would be scorched into oblivion in seconds. Tikno turned to Rail and grabbed his shoulder. "We need to get out of here. We need to get you away." He said, hoping Rail would hear him. He had seen the insanity in Rail's eyes as Rail had killed the young man still skewered on his arm. Tikno looked at the corpse, and in the blink of an eye, Tikno had removed it from Rail's arm and set it on the ground. Tikno was in front of Rail, hands on both of his shoulders, looking into his eyes. "Rail! Come on!" |
He felt something rub against his back, he turned to set it on fire but the motion only made more water come up. When he finally reached the phase where he was merely choking on air he turned to see the girl had crawled over to him. He didn’t trust himself to speak, at least not in her direction. He pulled his bag closer to him wondering if anything inside escaped into torrent. He was thankful to come across a waterproof bag with all of his items inside safe and dry. He pulled out one of his emergency blankets and draped it over the girl. Feeling his flames dwindling he decided to use the other blanket for fire fodder. He rolled it up setting it a blaze. He scooted away from the girl and slowly forced himself to his feet. He trudged back over to the current and started to look for the cat

The sudden gesture caught Cha by surprise and she instinctively recoiled, keeping in place at the material he had placed over her before moving towards the water's edge. Maybe he was trying to gain his bearings? And speaking of feet... hers were exceptionally cold and wet. She hated her feet being wet. And didn't he need a blanket to help him out as well? He seemed worse off than her. Come to think of it, ever since she had laid eyes on him he seemed like he was going to pass out if not die first. She stood on shaky legs like a new-born doe taking its first steps, and walked awkwardly in his direction. She tugged the material off of him and draped it over his shoulders, holding on to it as she pulled herself up and changed back to her feral form while still in motion. In case he tried to shake her off, she spread across to the other shoulder and began to warm the back of his neck. Her feet were now safe. |
Rail blinked a couple of times. Realizing that now they were surrounded by a pillar of fire. He looked at Tikno well at first it was more like through him then at him. Then Tikno slowly materialized in his sight.
"All this over some damn drug." His voice a growl as he picked up the dead child. "He just slightly younger then me, and I..I did what I had to." Rail looked at Tikno sanity raced back into his eyes. "I'm ok no if you could just keep the pillar up for a bit longer as my brain catches up." Rail's face was bleeding badly. "We are taking the child, I want to give him a proper burial." He looked around and found his gun he had smacked a couple of people with it but still three bullets remained inside the gun. "Oh I am so sorry Elenore." He picked up the gun tenderly. "As well as to you Wisdom." It would be clear to some one as observant as Tikno that he had first called out a different name and it seemed his weapon was called Wisdom. Spinning it rapidly Rail slid it into its holster neatly. Picking up the dead child like a man holds his bride, Rail looked at Tikno. "I am ready, come hold my shoulder again." His cheek was still bleeding but deep down inside Rail thought that was a small peice of the price he had to pay for such a crime. "Its funny I use to torture children, woman, man, and beast alike. Now I just want to save them." It had been a whisper if Tikno had been listening closely he would have heard. As soon as Tikno touched his shoulder the world around them would swirl and then the would end up in Corsa. "Welcome to the land of Prilla. If you need to stock up this is where to get it." They were on a whole different Island then the events of recent. Rail turned from Tikno. "If you like you can follow me. Other thne that if you shop you the name Doc.Blood,it will get you quite the discount here." Rail began to walk along the the small path that he now looked at. This place was surrounded by water with small walkways. "Oh and be careful not to fall in. The beasts that inhabit the water here are quite large and hungry, all the time." Rail paused to think if there was anything else. "Oh yes, and the fights here are intense but the people are accustomed to all types of being. So like a honey bee as they say." Rail began his walk with he dead child. "Your services of the flame will be much in handy if you follow." He was talking about cremating the child and throwing the ashes into the water. But not now when he got to where he was headed. |
Tikno wondered what the meaning was of the name Rail had said earlier. Elenor? Who was that? What meaning did she have to Rail? It had been hard to hear, but Tikno had caught the whispered comment as well, and was also wondering about that. What was Rail's past that he used to torture women and children?
Tikno burned with these questions, but he kept them to himself. This was neither the time nor the place to be asking those kind of things. Instead, Tikno followed along behind Rail, wondering how fair Rail intended to carry the child before they buried it, or cremated it, or whatever Rail was planning to do with it. |
