I went to a sushi buffet today - they make everything fresh as you order... I'm so full I'm going to explode!

Espy 03-07-2012 12:57 AM

....Does it make sense that I'm now hungry again even though I just had dinner?

Kasolyna 03-07-2012 09:51 AM

If you've been reading this forum, then definitely. God, I can't wait to go home on Friday and get some real food. College caf definitely isn't cutting it.

Serena Yuy 03-07-2012 01:50 PM

College food is something I do not miss :/ We had pretty decent food at my university, but after awhile of it being the only thing there, you get sick of it quickly. That and it's predictable. The menus for a few of the places are on a 2-3 week rotation. -.- And it's the same damn things.

I guess I'm glad I won't be needing to rely solely on the meal plan stuff at the school I'm going to in the Fall for my grad degree.

Echo-chan713 03-07-2012 02:33 PM

When I went to college I basically lived off of cereal and Mac and cheese. It was miserable especially when I became malnourished and anemic

Since I have a stable job, I appreciate foods of different kinds since I can afford them, the fast food like.

The foods I love is homemade foods like homemade lasagna, a one pan dish called campfire potatoes which is almost like scalloped potatoes with a pound of bacon (not draining out the fat), black pepper, onions, thyme, mixed/fried together. Then another one is stewed string beans and rice which is a one pan dish with a pound of undrained bacon, rice, tomato juice, and fresh string beans all mixed together.

But when it comes to outside home cooking it's sushi. Sushi is amazing but expensive :(

Echo-chan713 03-07-2012 02:34 PM

Bad echo for double post, f you iPad 2 for being so slow

Serena Yuy 03-07-2012 04:24 PM

I love sushi. ^^ My university would have sushi and Chinese food brought in by this company not far from it. And! I just read on the meal options at the school I'm going to in the Fall... The same company has a place on that campus!!! YAY! *does happy dance* So, I can use my meal or dining money for that on certain days that I would be in the mood for it.

That sucks you got sick :/ I guess I was lucky that the school we had had ok food, I didn't get sick like that.

I'm still job searching so I'm getting kind of upset that I don't have money to save up for food that I like. I'm hoping to get a job with this one fast food place that is opening up a store out in my town, and it's based in the city I'm going to school in the Fall, so I'll see about transfer. If not, then I'll keep looking till I find something till I go back to school and most likely have more luck getting a job there.

Fauxreal 03-07-2012 05:59 PM

Okay kiddies, so I just made some barbecue spare ribs and Asian style spare ribs - They are marinating in the fridge ready to be made into a tasty meal for tomorrow. BUT! That means I have no idea what to have for dinner tonight. Darn it all - my mom is coming home and I have no idea what to make?!

Serena Yuy 03-07-2012 06:31 PM

I have no idea what to make for dinner. My mom went back to work today and will be home at 9 (she's working 5p-9p) I may just cook something for myself around 7-9p ^^"

Fauxreal 03-07-2012 07:03 PM

For all of my love for food - I really am not the greatest of chefs. My sister is actually the chef of the family. Myself, I'm just the foodie. I want my mom to come home to some food but I don't know what the hell to make?!

Serena Yuy 03-07-2012 07:07 PM

My brother is a chef. I like cooking and baking. I mainly bake.

Fauxreal 03-07-2012 07:35 PM

I just eat the food. *nom nom nom*

Serena Yuy 03-07-2012 07:38 PM

I used to not like cooking and such. But, since I started dating Mike and cooking for him, I like doing it more ^^

Fauxreal 03-07-2012 07:53 PM

I know how to make food - it's just that I'd rather eat it mostly. ;)

Serena Yuy 03-07-2012 07:58 PM

Yeah, it depends on how I feel :D I do love the food I make ^^ I do want to go out and have someone make a good meal ^^

Fauxreal 03-07-2012 08:23 PM

I can tell you that at the moment I'm feeling lazy as hell and want someone else to make my food!
Serena - you could come over and make me dinner!

Serena Yuy 03-07-2012 08:46 PM

I have no clue what to make. I don't know mainly because my mom will be home from work in a little over an hour (most likely if she is able to get a ride from work). So, I dunno if I should eat in a little bit or not.

Fauxreal 03-08-2012 01:56 AM

I ended up getting Mexican food! *yummy* I had a taco salad. *so freaking tasty!*

Espy 03-08-2012 01:58 AM

...-noticed the siggy and can't stop laughing- It wasn't even that much! XD

Fauxreal 03-08-2012 02:03 AM

Hey! It was something! <3 Thanks! Plus you also have already given me items as well!

Pinfeathers 05-09-2012 08:15 PM

I love sooooo many foods!!!
I'm particularly obsessed with Thai food atm.
I'm hoping to be able to get some tonight. Mmmm....

I don't like stuffing. >.>

HABIT 05-10-2012 12:08 AM

I like many types of food from all over the world as far as what I've tried so far. One of my favorite foods is the beef and bellpepper served on white rice and in thick soy sauce, not the thin stuff you usually get in stores around here, I think it's a Chinese/Japanese dish.
Least favorite foods liver and chicken/turkey gizzards. Yucky.
What I had today, the two cheeseburger meal at McDonald's.

Fauxreal 05-11-2012 01:18 PM

I'm having popcorn. My sister airpoped it = the best!

Sailor Moon 05-12-2012 02:21 AM

I change my favorite food all the time too. > 3 >

Right now my favorite food is... steamed fish.
<33

My least favorite food, well, I'm not a fan of onions.
Unless they're inside of something else or dried.

We went to a local pizzeria for dinner.
They make delicious food. + 3 +

Ginger 05-17-2012 11:44 AM

I'm not much of a chef myself. It took me nearly two hours to make deviled eggs for Mother's Day (was my first time making them), but they turned out REALLY good. I'm just not a timely chef I guess.

Addy 05-17-2012 03:28 PM

I absolutely love food. -w- I work as a sushi roller at a local Japanese place (though it's hells of Americanized), and it allows me to try out all sorts of things I never would have tried before. :3

Also, spent the weekend in Milwaukee and Chicago, I had plenty of chances to try new things. It was pretty great. I'm not much of a foodie, per se, but I do quite enjoy trying and sampling all sorts of things.

Ginger 05-17-2012 07:23 PM

SUSHI *u*

Damn.. now I want to go on a road trip! Can't wait until my dream comes true 8D

Fauxreal 05-22-2012 08:50 PM

I went to my favorite sushi buffet yesterday - soooooo tasty.

Athilea Majiri 05-24-2012 08:05 AM

I love fish. It's kinda hard for me because my husband can't stand even the smell of fish....unless it's the type of tuna intended for sandwiches or in sushi. I love chicken, depending on how it's cooked. I'm kinda sick of baked chicken right now because we have had so much of it.

I also lobe porkchops and bacon and all sorts of fruits and veggies. I am allergic to Onions and Coconuts though, so I can't eat those.

I like a lot of food but I am a bit picky and I can't eat stuff that feels odd. Tomatoes are out for that reason. I don't mind the taste, but the way they feel is bad. Cooked carrots and apples are the same way. I just feel like those two should be crunchy, not soft.

I'll stop rambling now.

Fauxreal 05-24-2012 01:42 PM

HA - Athilea, welcome! And no worries, I think almost my whole family works that way. If some food feels wrong - they don't eat it.

My sister I suspect, is a super taster as well. She likes all her food really plain and she can taste all the seasoning that's put in the food.

Twigg 05-24-2012 05:56 PM

I share your love, even though I can be picky.
Tonight I think I'm having something simple, cause I don't feel like cooking. :|

I'm thinking just a sandwich and some sort of side... yet to be determined.

My favorite changes constantly as well. One week it'll be lasagna, the next it'll be quesadillas, it's all very random. :|

I really like cooking, too, although I don't do much of it. 9 months out of the year last year I stayed in a dorm.. not much free range to cook. XD

Kotomi 05-25-2012 01:21 PM

hmm
I love pasta, sesame chicken, turkey, a lot of stuff

I don't like seafood but some I can tolerate
dislikes pork products
one thing I think I dislike the most of everything I've tasted wasabi

hmm had homemade tacos last night yummy!

Addy 05-25-2012 06:28 PM

Coincidentally a friend of mine just released an album based on foods he likes. :'3 Man.

Speaking of food I'm real hungry but I'm not sure what I'm doing for dinner yet. I want something nicer but money dictates either a frozen pizza or rice. Hmmm.

Fauxreal 05-25-2012 06:31 PM

You can add stuff to frozen pizza or rice. I like adding my own toppings to frozen pizza to make it actually tasty.

Addy 05-25-2012 06:37 PM

Yeah, I'm tempted to, I just don't have much to work with. -o- Payday this week is going all toward rent.

Next payday, though, I'm gonna go all out and buy all sorts of little things for spicing up my food. Like spices, ahaha, but also nice little things I could add. Carrot bits in rice sound really delicious right now.

Fauxreal 05-26-2012 01:53 AM

I like ginger! omg... I'd add it to almost everything if people other than me ate it. I just bought this Ginger Syrup for pancakes and waffles. IT IS SOOO TASTY!

Ginger 05-26-2012 05:08 PM

Found sounds really good xD

Pizza is all gone though

Lancelot 05-27-2012 06:04 PM

I'm a snack junkie. It's bad for me but I can't help but have many of them stacked up in front of me. So far in the last hour I've eaten a 99 cents pack of Doritos, a poundcake and two fiber one bars. (weird variety of stuff)

I don't really weight anything so the only thing suffering is my stomach.

Kotomi 05-28-2012 12:07 AM

Sometimes leftovers if stored correctly are good as it was the first day

I don't think my family knows how to store things properly...
bf's family does yay chicken and hamburgers !!!

Fauxreal 05-28-2012 12:49 AM

I bought chicken for dinner! *so tasty!*
