the thing i find about Tris is that there's not really such a thing as to many items. on Gaia, or similar, you end up with a massive indistinguishable ball for an avatar if you have to many items. Here, mainly due to the layering, you can use lots and lots of items to make more subtle and interesting details. I've had 27 items on my avatar face alone, without it looking stupid.

I was back home visiting my parents, and they live in the middle of no-where on an island >_< it's pretty nice here, but i've been on a bus the past 6 hours so i want to do nothing but laze around and relax.
I've actually been to Maryland twice, to see someone I met through Zan. I live in Scotland if you don't know. Can't say I've ever seen platform shoes so i can't help you there. thank you :D I've had such bad internet that i haven't been able to change my avatar much, so i stuck to refining this one. |
Wow Scotland, I have never been there though I have been to the UK 3x. I can certainly understand your wanting to relax after that long bus ride. My hubby is poking me to go for a drive since it is so nice out. We live right next to farms and countryside. Guess I'll get off the computer for a bit, lol. @ Gallagher - I'm sure there is quite a variety of what you could do for zombies. Astronaut zombie, baby zombie, baseball zombie...if you had the outfits to do it. Are you changing every few days?
@ Massy - I have to say I think that is what I do. Just go with the flow. There is an interesting thread here called "Avatar Challenge" or something like that. Not sure I have enough variety of things to join that thread but it would be very interesting to have to create to a color theme or some idea. Not sure I can do good avatars on command like that. @ Ducky - Does it really matter if they know? Or just put it in your sig or profile maybe? |
there have been times when I thought people were of the opposite sex for years, and it was just a bit weird. Like going on a Skype call with someone and them being very much not what you expected.

Hehe, I know exactly what you mean.
I try to never take anyone's avatar as other than what it is. You are a guy, I know this only because you actually said it but had I not known then you would simply be sexless to me for the most part. However, I will say that it is not easy to keep in one's mind when faced with a totally feminine avatar or a male one with a beard that the person has no gender. Like if a person has a male avi with a beard I really want to think of them as male. |
