Misu Moshe

Misu's father pushed his way through the door and into the room. "You are hiding nothing?" He stared straight down at Thokin's pony tail. Misu slapped her face. "How can he be so stupid?" Her father turned to Misu; "HE?" Misu's eyes widened. She never really dated any one before, so she had no clue as to how he was going to react to a boy hiding under her bed. Misu only hoped that since she was 19 he didn't have much say in it.

Misu's father turned around and started to tug on Thokin's hair, forcing him to come out from the bed and face him. "What is your name, child?" Her father stared deep into Thokin's eyes waiting for an answer. "Dad, his name is Thokin. He needed a ride to the City, I am helping him that is all that is going on, ok?" Misu's explanation didn't help her father calm down, it just got him to not bully Thokin. "So you thought it would be a good idea, to take a stranger into your room, illegally board your ship, and you thought this would be okay?" She could see her father's point, but her decision stood the same and she was not going to let him win. "Dad you know how good I am. You know I can protect myself. You know I am better then mom, and she can kick some pretty serious ass when she needs to!" She looked away from her father. "I can't believe you think i am this stupid." Her voice got low and sadder sounding then before. She walked away form him and sat on the bed. "Misu, you know I don't think of you as stupid. I just want you to be safe." Her father turned and saw Thokin in the room, it only reminded him that Thokin was there. "But I guess I can't change your mind. Thokin, if you wish to stay here you are welcome to dinner." Her father turned and left the room, closing the door quietly as he left.

Misu lied down on the bed. "Phew! That was a close one! I don't trust him just yet, but at least he didn't kill you right?" She sat up and stared at Thokin. "What?"

The youth was at a lost for words and well scared for his life, he knew that most parents where like this he would have not done this. But his eyes closing some as he was now on high guard with him being scared the water outside of the ship was tossing the ship around. "Ahhhh, I have no idea what happened but I saw my life flash before my eyes, I thought I was never going to get better at Air bending or even water! I was going to be only good at Earth and Fire what kind of avatar would I be?!" he said in panicked state as he slightly felt like he was about to pass out falling to floor.

I am the manry-est of men!

Misu Moshe

Misu's eyes widen and her jaw dropped. She stood up steeping on her Avatar book she was reading earlier. "Did you say avatar?" Her heart started to pound and all she wanted to do was kiss the man, but she knew better. She held in her squeal and gave him a hug. It was all she could with out being a prev. She felt like a little fan girl meeting her first big popstar crush. She held onto him tightly, squeezing his dear life out of him, trying to let the excitement release. "I can't believe it!!!" She screamed. Turning down her voice as she spoke next, knowing she shouldn't be to loud. There had to be a reason why he didn't speak up sooner. "Can you show me some fire bending?" She was so happy that this was happening she almost forgot what was going on. "This is the best day of my life. I can't believe I got to met the real avatar." She bowed out of respect. "I will do what ever is needed to keep you happy, and anything that will help you on your missions." She kept bowed until he spoke.

NikkoGallarado 06-19-2012 02:11 AM

Thokin placed his hand behind hid head bowed to her. "No, no its fine, I'm sorry I couldn't tell you before it's just I have to be careful about who I said it to, it's just your father scared me and well that what happen I at times fall into panic and say things, though I try to keep to my self like most cats would do in this kind." as he sweatdrop more. "You don't need to do that, I mean after all I am no one great just a person with ability to bend that's all. Fire? Well I can show you when we are not at sea?" he asked her then stood up him self seeing she was still bowing he quickly reached over to have her stand up right.

Thokin, couldn't really understand why she was so happy to meet him hew knew most people would be or most would hate it he just never knew which one would be the one he would meet first.

I am the manry-est of men!

"So Tayu..." Taku looked behind him to a space utterly devoid of the hyperactive girl. He sighed, "I should have figured he wasn't behind me when it suddenly got quieter."

He ordered the same as the woman who got him to the vendor and paid in turn. Looking around and wondering if he should bother to find that Tayu. It never occurred to him how he longed for the company of another airbender. "Thanks ma'am. Now if I could just find my friend." he added abscent-mindedly with a nervous chuckled scratching hishead.

Fey 06-19-2012 10:18 PM

Chewing her lip Tayu debated calling up a wind-ball. They were fast, but made people nervous when she rode it around. She settled on a nice wind beneath her feet as she ran to look for Taku. Zipping around the streets she spotted him near a vendor and waved enthusiastically. "Takuuuuu..." she should have thought to try to stop sooner, she realized as she hit the brakes too fast and went skidding right past him. The air she'd called up to aid her in her run blew over him and the other woman, and most likely the vendor, and anyone else in the area.

Finally coming to a halt half a block away she turned around and skipped back to him. "So, I am now totally, completely, mostly, lost. But look! Food!" Sticking out her tongue she dug in her pockets and pulled out some change and went to the vendor to get her own helping. The man looked less than pleased after her gale force entrance, but she gave him the cow-deer eyes that always worked and he finally handed over a serving.

Misu Moshe

Misu was a little sad that Thokin wouldn't show her his bending of fire. "If you don't show me then how do i know if you are the real avatar? You could just be using me." She pouted, she didn't want to make her father right. Ending up with a guy that claimed to be the avatar just to use her. She knew there was no end to what she would do for the Avatar, she was afraid of someone abusing that power over her. "How about you do something small. I can understand that you don't wish to do it here and know, but I have to know. Try lighting a candle." Misu turned and dug through her bag, trying to find her candle. It was a blue candle with waves on it. When lit she thought of both bending styles, water and fire. They matched very well in her mind. She didn't really have anything for earth and air, though one for earth and water and one for fire and air. She couldn't really find something to match fire and earth as well. She only took one at a time with her if she was traveling. And since the earth and water one, was hard to take places she took her water candle back to her home town, where most are of water tribe descent.

"So can you? Just before dinner. It will make me happy." She gave only a half smile not wanting to make herself look to happy. If he denied once more she would leave him alone for at least the ship ride. If he was the avatar, with out his training who knows how good he really is at bending other things then his main bending skill. "We should go eat before they think something is up, ok? Let's go." She turned towards the door and opened it. Once opened she turned to him "You know you are not a normal being. I am a normal human being. Bending is a wonderful skill you can have, and you were born with all of the greatness into one person." She smiled at him, and turned back to taking him to her parent's room.

whitexsuicide 06-20-2012 01:39 AM

Senalda Soyala Okena

Senalda was almost knocked down by this other air bender. No respect! She twisted some water up from the puddles, so she didn't hit the ground. Though her crab puffs were ruined. "How dare you. Do you know who I am, young lady? You should respect council members much better then you are, now." She had half a mind to have the young lady arrested for assault. "Control your powers or don't use them! Fools." She stood there mad as every. "For your punishment you must give me your crab puffs. Since mine are ruined. You should twice before you bend your way into more trouble then you can handle." She grabbed the puffs out of Tayu's hands and started to eat them right in front of the young air bender. "This should teach you a lesson!" She continued to enjoy the air bender's food.

Fey 06-20-2012 09:38 AM

Tayu has never been known for her control, nor thinking things through before she acted. This, this wouldn't be a time for it either. As the woman snatched away her freshly procured treat she saw red. "If you're a councilwoman shouldn't you know better than to steal from children?" she snapped, her hand, and a slicing blade of wind, slapping out to snatch back the container of food. Quick as she could she dumped all of the remaining puffs into her mouth, now looking like a chipmunk-squirrel.

Glaring hard at the woman she mumbled around her full mouth. "Nuu muu faaaul yuu 'aan hol onna ings"[not my fault you can't hold onto things]. Though she nearly choked on the last bit, her eyes tearing up as she fought to not spit out the half masticated food.

NikkoGallarado 06-20-2012 01:42 PM

Thokin, looked at her then at the candle smiled some. "Sure I can show some stuff if you really have to see to know I am." as he took the candle from her held it up to shower her, on the tip of his finger he was able have a flame came as he lit the candle before. "Here you are if I have show you a little more I can, I don't want you think I am liar it's just not safe to do much bending out here in the middle of the sea" he said to her handing back the candle to her.

That was when he had gotten the idea he opened her door carefully and walked out looked around, seeing it was okay he walked over to the boat's edge sat on the side looked for some thing that was dangling from the side he had found a bit of from that went just about to the water. As he waved her to come closer he jump down to swing on the rope. As he dangled on the rope like bait he concentrated hard very hard, he was not well at water but still could bend it he just had to concentrate really really really hard to get it to do anything. And he did, having a large ice spike shoot out from the water as the ship sailed by it. "So I gave you three out of four is that better or do I need to show you them all?" he asked worried about trying to do air that also took a lot of concentration for him to do also unlike Earth and Fire.

I am the manry-est of men!

Jurinjo 06-21-2012 07:53 AM

Taku spun on his heels to turn towards Tayu...who had just bounded past him. If he had turned just a little later he would've lost his balance as well. He was well surprised to hear the woman claim to be on the counsel. That surprise caused him to react to slowly to intercept Tayu's equally harsh comeback. Her's though was far more amusing; if things weren't getting quickly heated Taku probably would have laughed at her expense.

Taku brought his hands between the two women. "Ladies let's not escalate this to a bending battle in the streets over some crab puffs." He also made a point to look around them at the people who were starting to become interested in the commotion.

Tiva 06-21-2012 10:21 AM

Ari's ears perked up hearing a raised voices before moving away from the lake and going into the the street. Noticing the Northern Water tribe council woman arguing with an air bending student judging by her clothes... wasn't she at the council meeting earlier? Ari couldn't remember because she hadn't been there by the end, she didn't blame her the meetings were boring, even to her and she had been to too many to count. Walking over with a hand on her blade hilt she nodded to the older water bender. "Council Woman, no guards? Even though Amon is long defeated it is still dangerous times... You should not wander alone as a person of your status."
A few of Ari's bangs fell into her eyes before she brushed them back and looked at the airbender and the man who looked unlike the traditional benders. He was younger than the woman... not the council woman's son though? They didn't look enough alike.... It was puzzling to her to see him with the women. "So what seems to be the problem?"

whitexsuicide 06-21-2012 01:41 PM

Senalda Soyala Okena

Senalda was getting madder by the second. She respected the boy, but since he would stand up for such a foolish girl, he was not on her side no more. Then one of the Fire bender Guards came to her aid. "At least some one has some sense. This is how you should react to a council member." She turned to Ari "Thank you. This child was not watching her bending. Knocked me and the vender over. With out ever a sorry. Knocked over my crab puffs. The least she could have done was give me hers, but she refused and ate them all, just look at her face." Senalda turned to look at the girl disgusting face, it was full of crab puffs. "This girl needs to learn not to bend if she can not control it."

whitexsuicide 06-21-2012 02:04 PM

Misu Moshe

Misu watched in amazement as he bended the fire to light and the water to spike. She was a bit worried as to what he was doing. He wasn't very good at bending water, he said so himself. And with no bending powers Misu wouldn't be able to save him if he fell in. "I believe you! Just be careful!" She bent over the side of the ship waiting for him to climb back up. "Hurry up my parents are waiting for us in their room. Don't you want some more food?" Once he was up, she lead him back in the cabin part of the ship. Once in she was in the cabin part of the ship she spoke the words; "You know you are not a normal being. I am a normal human being. Bending is a wonderful skill you can have, and you were born with all of the greatness into one person." She smiled. "Come on let's go eat, ok?" She continued to walk to her parents' room. Before she opened the door though she turned to face the avatar. "Be warned now. I have a little brother. He is a monster and my mom seems to hate me. My father is the only good one in the family besides me." She stared at him for one more moment to really let the words sink into his head, before she turned yet again and opened the door.

She was welcome with a flying child at her face. Her brother hoped onto and would not let go. She stepped inside wrestling with the child, so she could introduce him to Thokin. She finally got a hold on the child and stuck him out and towards Thokin. "This is Calder. My little brother." Her voice was a bit deeper and she was trying very hard not to roll her eyes. She set the child down. He started to run towards Thokin. He stuck out his hand to shake. "I watching you." With that he ran over to mother and she struggled to make him sit at the table. "This is my father, Nen, you have already met him." Her father nodded at Thokin when he was introduced. "And this is my mother, Tegan. She comes from the Earth kingdom and grew up in Republic City." Her mother just kept an eye on him. Once she was done with names she sat down at the end of the table. The only empty sit was one next to Misu and her father. Unless he wanted to sit at the other end of the table, but he would then be in between her father and her brother. And those were not a very good two to be in between. Once everyone was seated her mother started to talk. "So Thokin where are you from?" Misu stared at her mother. "Mom, why must you ask such personal questions?" Her father spoke up in return. "Because he is a stranger at our table, he should at least tell us what his motives are." Misu couldn't much believe what her father was saying. It was the first time he had ever said anything like that. She let it slide, letting Thokin answer the questions.

The food came in the middle of their questions. My brother started to dig into the food. Misu was next. The parents were use to getting what ever was left. "Thokin you better get food or i am going to eat it all before you get a chance to take a bite. It is a fend for yourself dinner." Misu smiled at him grabbing more food.

Jurinjo 06-21-2012 07:01 PM

Taku was feeling anger shifting towards this water bender. She may have been old and maybe wise. But she was arrogant in her old age. She was pompous, over-controling, and lacking any trait of understanding. He wanted to lash out at her as well but bit his tongue. Taku took a breath to steady himself before he spoke.

"Excuse me Lady Okena I don't want to cross a line and disrespect you." he said first with a natural bow that came with his earlier years under the tutelage of the monks in the air temples. Taku's carefully guided words held like steel but Taku's eyes wavered as he held back his own feelings of rage against the elder.

"I wouldn't dare say Tayu's carelessness is excusable. But in your anger did you even consider she didn't really realize how inconsiderate she was being? Shouldn't you have acted better than yelling and snatching her food like a child yourself? I've been taught to respect an elder but the by the way you acted I don't know if you are worth showing more than common courtesy ma'am no matter what position you hold in the political sphere. Have a nice day."

The last statement probably didn't sound like he meant what the words were supposed to convey. But hell he was upset too. He grabbed Tayu by the arm, firmly but in no way harshly, and started for the ports. Republic City always had a way of running him into people who could just plain piss him off. 'Another day, another enemy' he thought with a inner sigh and crossed the Northern Water tribe off his list of places to visit. He wanted to get out and somewhere with less people. Maybe he could go to the Air Temple on the island west of here...Tayu may have been residing there and Taku had never been in his life.

Fey 06-21-2012 07:43 PM

Oh for the love of the Avatar, Tayu thought, the guards?? As if. Still chewing her food she let Taku drag her off. Tt was only due to the food still shoved in her mouth that she didn't(for once) let her mouth run away with her. But, it didn't stop her from crossing her eyes and making faces at the 'council woman' as they left. Who was she to determine if she was to be allowed to bend?! She wasn't the boss of her.

Swallowing hard she finally got the last of the food down and bounced up to walk more beside Taku rather than be dragged about. "So, who was that bag of wet blankets anyway? Was she a friend of yours? Cause if she was, you need better friends. But don't worry, I'll totally be your friend!" Peering around she chewed on the edge of her lip, "Are we heading back to the park? Or are we lost?" She mostly assumed everyone got lost like she did, little did she recall their earlier conversation where he'd mentioned his familiarity with the area.

Jurinjo 06-21-2012 07:59 PM

Taku turned to her, still angry and no longer as careful with his words as he was with Senalda. "Don't forget I what I said about your carelessness being inexcusable. I've made people mad, I've even made some enemies. Will it be okay if I EVER went to the Norther Tribes after that?" he motioned back towards the stalls. "I've been fine on my own so far. It's been fun Tayu..." Great so now he wasn't going to the island anymore either. It would be really nice right about now if he had a glider. The angry young man turned on his heels and bounded away. He used his bending to run faster but wielded it more precisely. He formed small compact air pouches under his feet to propel him forward with each step. The technique used to require a lot of his focus to accomplish. The fact he didn't need to be completely in the moment to nail the timing anymore was the benefit of no longer having a glider. In the boy's rush something dropped from his bag without his noticing. It was an odd metal box made from a myraid of different metal objects went around each other fitting like a puzzle. Different colors ranging from a drab grey of plain steel to an odd shade of eggplant gave a very sculpture feel to the cube. The only protrusion in the thing was what looked like half a cone with glass in the center like a dome.

Fey 06-21-2012 08:35 PM

Taku was mad, he was so mad he ran off. Tayu knew how it felt to be that mad, and later he'd be upset that he said things, she always was. So, she let him get a few blocks away and called up an air-ball; he was too fast to catch with just a breeze. Zipping along his wake she spotted something fall from his bag. Focusing hard Tayu flipped it up into her hands as she sped over it, the colours fascinating. Focusing on the various facets of the box she wasn't paying attention and ran her ride face first into a street light.

Tumbling to her side, the wind dissipating with a whoosh, she clutched her forehead where a red welt was already appearing. Hissing and rolling on the ground she slowly realized it had stopped hurting and picked herself up. A few curious bystanders stared at her and she grinned sheepishly at them. A bit of light glinted off Taku's fallen treasure and she picked it up, hoping it hadn't been damaged when she fell. By now she had lost him, and she was well and truly lost herself. Looking around she made her way to a tea shoppe for directions back to the ferry to the Air Bender Temple. Maybe Taku would look for her there when he calmed down? Then she could return this...and she would NOT try to figure out what it did...even if the temptation killed her!

Tiva 06-22-2012 08:33 AM

Ari listened processing the information as quickly as she could before watching the air benders walk off. No, he wasn't the council woman's son but he didn't look like the air benders from the island. Turning to the vender she bowed low apologizing for the disturbance and asking how many of his goods were damaged. The flustered vendor kept waving his hands muttering something about little benders hurting his business. Counting up the damages he presented the total. "10,000 yuans mam, but I can take my claim to the young benders destruction." She shook her head pulling out her purse and moving out a few coins. "A 1000 yuans per gold Fire piece right? So 10 gold fire pieces and a silver to convert it." She winked giving the man the coins over to him. The silver was more than enough but keeping him quiet of the incident was more important as she scribbled out the notes bearing her name and fire nation marking. Her father would kill her two know her just spent the money for emergencies, namely making herself look presentable during whatever this city threw at her or bribing her way out of captivity, but she had been smart and saved it reinvesting the original 20 gold pieces into a local messenger business, she had made it back and doubled it already.
Turning to the council women she smiled pretending to be happy with her. "Now Madam Council Women lets get you back to the Water Tribe compound, don't want any more trouble happening now do we?" Ari was mad but hid it behind her mask like she did when she was working, this woman represented the Northern Water tribe, and she apparently had no sense about how to treat a young bender, not everyone can control their powers and accidents do happen.

NikkoGallarado 06-22-2012 01:54 PM

Thokin sat near by Misu and well her father once he sat down he was then asked many questions. But he was also kind of lost with Misu's younger bother of him saying he was watching him, that felt slightly odd in many ways to the young Avatar. "Gaoling I cam from there, I was in the middle of training when I had taken a break from my training to get some rest I had dream telling me I need to move forward to better my self and well to help people and better the world." explaining him self to the mother of her the person who was helping him.

While he explained food came one he heard what Misu had said he sweatdrop a little started to take some food knowing he was not there he only got enough for him to get full on. "What I did was set out on a journey to head to the City, I was going to travel ride Maru my armadillo lion all way there but it seem I could have been wrong about how far it is." he admitted. "I am not very good with getting to places, I didn't even know there was a small port city here to get to the city." as he took a bite of his food.

I am the manry-est of men!

Jurinjo 06-24-2012 07:06 PM

Several minutes later Taku was in the harbor about to find a boat. Experience taught him to always check for his belongings before departing a region. He took a comfortable seat well away from any grates or running water and started laying a couple things out as he sorted through his bag. He had his spare clothes, money, a bunch of other essentials, his tools...

Taku's eyes grew a little wider and he searched harder for a metal box that was supposed to have been in the bag. He started to get more frantic as he ran his hands across the same bag over and over. Nearly everything he owned was essential, but replaceable. His invention, while no essential, couldn't just be replaced. Many hours were poured into something he didn't know for sure worked. What if someone was hurt? What if someone took credit for his hard work!

With rapidity the young man threw everything back into the bag. He made absolutely sure it was securely closed then retraced his steps. He could have lost it anywhere in the mile of streets he went down. Someone could have picked up it too so there was simply too much to watch and so much he could miss.

Fey 06-24-2012 08:35 PM

Catching sight of her cousin who was preparing to head back to the temple Tayu waved her hand madly and dashed to their side. "Hi!" she hopped onto the bison's back and fidgeted with the box-thing. A heavy sigh made her flinch, it was ALWAYS a precursor to a lecture. Putting on her most innocent look she looked up and into very disapproving brown eyes.

"Tayu, you have a bright red welt on your forehead, a grease stain that I can only assume came from something edible on your uniform, gravel and leaves in your hair, and what ARE you holding onto?" Another sigh and they settled at the reigns. "Uncle may have made me bring you on this short excursion but he never said you could run pell mell all over the place. You were supposed to stay at the council hall and wait for me. We will be discussing this after your evening lessons."

Tayu knew better than to reply, she merely bowed her head and waited for the bison to take off. She'd expected more really, but apparently the guards hadn't made it back to report the other stuff yet. She'd hear about that later, from Uncle. This made her wince and chew on her lip, Uncle's lectures were longer, and his punishments usually meant she'd be on floor cleaning duty for weeks.

Jurinjo 06-25-2012 07:12 PM

Taku saw a flying bison with at least 2 airbenders on it move overhead. Tayu had to be on it. He used his bending to shoot himself onto a building then aiding his hop from building to building to catch up.

"Tayu! HEY!"

Fey 06-26-2012 12:40 AM

Tayu swiveled her eyes. Was someone calling her name? She'd been perfectly still since they took off, hoping if she didn't move she'd be forgotten. But...if someone was.... Slowly turning her head she spotted Taku leaping in their wake. "OH my GOSH!" she breathed and darted up to where her cousin was leading the bison. "Wait up for a second!" she yanked back on the reigns making the large animal lurch to a stop even as she ran back to the base of it's broad tail.

"Taku, I have an idea, hold on!" Nearly crossing her eyes in concentration she swirls out her hands and pulls in a mighty gust of wind, dragging Taku towards the side of the now hovering animal.

Jurinjo 06-26-2012 09:23 AM

Taku wasn't going to let Tayu do all the work to get him aboard. "Thanks for the extra push." He said once aboard. The other man aboard was making a look. "Um...hello." Taku could just imagine a sweat drop appearing over his head.

"I'm T-Taku Sir" He bowed sounding as if he stuttered when really he was about to use his former rank when he still considered himself one of them. Oddly part of him still did.

Fey 06-26-2012 08:08 PM

Tayu wanted to give Taku a giant hug as soon as he landed on the bison's back, but her cousin cleared his throat and she squeaked as she recalled how much trouble she was still in. Spinning around she tried her most innocent look. "He's an air bender and he tried to keep me out of trouble! And I know uncle would like to meet him! OH!" she recalled the box she'd picked up. But before she could scamper over and get it he groaned and flapped a hand at them both. Acknowledging Taku's bow with a dip of his head he grumbled.

"Sit down until we reach the island, then I'll let the head of the temple sort you all out." He hunched his shoulders and could be heard muttering under his breath about never, ever taking Tayu off the island again under threat of having his bending removed forever.

Jurinjo 06-27-2012 08:02 AM

Taku leaned over and wisphered into Tayu's ear, "Sort us out?"
Sure his entrance wasn't exactly normal but what did he or Tayu do to get that kind of response?

Fey 06-27-2012 09:42 AM

Tugging on his arm to get him to sit with her Tayu leaned close. "I'm sorta in lots and lots of trouble, and teeeeeechnically only the head of the order is supposed to invite people out to the island. But it's okay, Uncle will be super interested to know about other air benders so you'll be fine," her shoulders sagged a bit. "And I'll only likely be put on floor scrubbing duty for a few weeks...unless he finds out about," she mimicked falling backwards. "About you know. That, that would be bad."

Her elbow nudge something tucked into the saddle's edge and she blinked then smiled. "Oh, I found this!" She pried out the thing she'd picked up and handed it back to him. "I thought it might be important, so I'm glad you found me."

Senalda Soyala Okena

Senalda felt bad that Ari had to pay for what the air bender had done to the vender. "I think I am ok for now, no need to escort me back to the compound. I want to keep walking around the city, before I head to bed." She bowed her head to the fire bender royal. "Thank you, though. I will have to report this, but I think I will wait until I get done with my stroll." She moved past the bender and started to head towards the park once more, she wanted cool off. Maybe to vent some. "You can come with me if you like, but it be because you wish to follow, not because you wish to protect." She thought that if she made it clear that Ari was going to be following because she wanted to, not because she had to. Then Senalda would know what Ari really thought of her.

Ari followed more out of duty than anything, she also didn't want this reported because it would come back to bite her in the ass. Pulling out her hair tie she shook out her hair so the strands got some air, it had to be back whenever she practiced or was on duty because hair on fire didn't smell nice. "So I assume you aren't around here often?" she stated once she caught up to the council member, she still didn't remember this woman's name. Her father would have a fit about it too.
She looked over at a few cars passing by the road outside of the park, none that really stood out, Satomobiles and Cabage Cars, but the new two wheeled cars, Motos they called them, where zipping in and out of traffic... they looked fun.

"Teeeechnically" he started imitating the way she said it "I really invited myself more or less." He gave a nudge back before settling comfortably against the back of the saddle.

"Ah well hopefully my words gave her the impression it would be better to keep it hush hush." Taku bobbed his head at the optimisitc thought while his mind to what might come of his trip to the air temple island.

Tayu gave him a hopeful look, it would NOT go well if he was wrong. Her training was going badly as it was, and she worried that they'd use this as an excuse to send her home. "So," she poked at the edge of the box she'd returned to him. "It's awfully fancy, is it a treasure box?" The flight to the island wasn't a long one, but she figured talking would keep her mind otherwise occupied.

Jurinjo 07-02-2012 02:08 PM

[[Snap I totally forgot to respond to Tayu's mentioning of the box a few posts back.]]

"No it's something else. I'm not sure if it'll work yet. Just getting some kinks out before I feel safe testing it." Taku graciously took his invention back like a mother reunited with her child.

The temple grounds swept past them as the bison moved to land in the field. Glancing around Tayu was glad to see her Uncle wasn't waiting for her, them, outside. That meant no word had come from the mainland...yet. Once they landed she hopped up and bowed to her cousin, "I'll be taking Taku to see Uncle now!" Sliding to the ground she took the main path up to the temple.

"So, you made the treasure box? What's it supposed to do? I didn't poke at it, I promise! though it might have gotten hurt when it fell out of your bag."

Misu Moshe

Misu's mother nodded while Thokin spoke. She was still unsure of his motives. No one really wanted to do good in the world now a days. And the whole dream thing was just weird. But she kept listening to what he had to say. Once he stopped to eat, her Father spoke up; " So once you are in the city you will part ways with our daughter?" Misu snapped her head around to her dad. "But why?"
Her father gave her a stern look. "Because I don't trust him. He story is weary. No one does anything like this. I believe he is just using you." Misu sighed. Her father had some good points, but he was the avatar, if he wasn't she would be just as suspicious as her father. She wanted to say it so bad. That this man was the man she had dreamed of her whole life. Her biggest dream was to met the avatar and here he is making her dream come true. It made her feel like she could do so much more with her life. Travel with the avatar like her ancestors had done before her.

She slowed down her eating. She was getting full. Her brother kept eating, as well as keeping an eye on Thokin. Misu gave him a glare and her brother stuck out his tongue. She sighed, she would have to run away from home if her father kept to his word. There was no way she was going to let the avatar get away from her.

Senalda Soyala Okena

Senalda looked back at Ari. "I come whenever they need me to come. I am mostly stuck up north." She let out a long breathe. "I am suppose to teach students and protect the moon and water spirits. It can boring sometimes." They were nearing the park. She could feel the pond from where she was standing. It was nice to be able to feel where the water was.

Senalda stopped when they reached the park and turned to Ari, to ask her a question. "So why did you follow me? I can tell you don't like me much." She stood and waited for her answer. There was no reason for her to follow her.

Tiva 07-26-2012 09:43 AM

Ari turned a gold piece in her hand. "I don't want the incident reported, it will come back to bite me in the ass with both my cousin and my father. I shouldn't flaunt my wealth or use my status to make things easier for myself or others. Also, I am rather embarrassed to say I don't remember your name Madam Council Woman so it would be hard to deny to my superiors that you were lying when I can't remember who you are to defend myself." The speech was one that had been beaten into her and her cousin at a young age, people used you for your status and if you acted like you could just hand out favors you would be up to your neck in men and women that would trade anything for a better status. Those weren't the people you wanted to be around.
Shrugging off the conversation she looked at the water, the gentle lapping was calming and reminded her of Ember Isle. "The north pole, it sounds nice.. I have wished to see where the Admiral failed and was forced to be destroyed by the Water spirit. The fact that your tribes spirits even took a human form is interesting to me. Though it has been said that they all do have other forms to visit the human world in, but those are just myths yours you see every day."
She rubbed the back of her neck, her mark itched but considering the heat of her vest it wasn't abnormal, up to the 20th in line the fire nation Royal family was marked though to have the 30th marked wasn't odd as they were all marked in their early teens and once they had children where moved further back in the line and had their mark added to. Her father had given her tricks on how to keep the mark cool but the water lilly pad on her neck must have dried out.

Senalda Soyala Okena

Senalda nodded. "Well then I guess I won't report it. But let this be a one and only lesson to you, ok?" She turned to go closer to the pool of water that was through out the park. "My name is Senalda Okena. My students call me Soyala. You may call me what ever you wish." She started to pick up the water. It was very simple to her, being able to move the water. She barely had to move at all.

"So what are you interested in?" She felt like she had to say more but she really didn't know anything about this girl.

Thokin bowed his head to Misu's father. "I can understand, but I would like to understand I would never use any one or anything for my own personal gain at all. My birth into this world had a reason and jucst reason. I do want to help the world, I do want what is great for it. I know much time has past and many people have lost much faith in what has happened then. But I would like to try and bring it back to the people." he said lifting his head then stood. "I do thank you for the meal, once we reach land I will do as you like." as he walked away from the table headed out on to the deck to feel the cool night air against his skin, he was placed into a foul mood he hated being distrusted but it was happen.

He was after all hiding him self from the world till he could do something to bring back hope to the world. Letting out a soft sigh leaned against the rail looking at the water below him it look nice and calm something he enjoyed seeing, but it made him slightly sad, as to why the worlds calm ended the way it did.

I am the manry-est of men!

Misu Moshe

Misu's father's expression didn't change. As soon as Thokin got up and left, Her parents started to talk about him. She didn't want to hear a word they said, so she put down her silver ware and followed him out onto the deck.

She stood right next Thokin and stared into the water. She had no clue what was running through his mind, but she knew she could never understand what it was. "You know what they said in there was only because he had no clue on who you are. If he knew he wold have invited you to stay instead pushing you away as soon as he could." She sighed and turned to him, putting a hand on his shoulder. "I trust you. And I can't imagine letting you leave. I have decided that I will come with you. To help you do what you must do." She took her hand off his shoulder and turned back to the water. It was oddly calm. Then she remembered all the stops they take before they get to the city. It's only a couple but they do seem unnecessary. She could only hope that her father would kept to his word and let he stay until Republic City.

"I will be in our room if you need anything." She smiled and walked back towards the room.
