L5R is a CCG and RPG. It's pretty much fantastic in every sense. You can pick a clan base your deck on or play in the tabletop version. Each clan has personalities that do things. Kanpeki is my favorite dude from my favorite clan. Yoritomo is from the Mantis Clan.

Lessee, there is Lion, Mantis, Unicorn, Phoenix, Dragon, Crab, Scorpion, Spider, and Crane.

Patho, it is a card game xD The RPG element is simply in choosing your clan alignment each game, that's all.

The Helm is pretty damn important, but then again I'm a kensai not wearing a monk outfit, so...

.....The thing with Perfect World games is that they are grind-tastic. I really, really would not recommend them as a primary MMORPG...Aion is nice, but I lost interest in it after I realized that it would be hard as hell for me to solo on my assassin character.

If you ever get back to MMOs, give Mabinogi a try; it's not bad. ...Or come to me for MMORPG suggestions; I've sampled almost all of the free fantasy-themed ones out there.

Hm...I play Mabi a decent bit, but if you like realistic...Aion's probably still one of the best. Vindictus isn't half-bad, either, but it's largely based on dungeons, which bothers me. I never really got into it. (Still lvl 16 or something, even though I beta-tested, hahahaha.)

TERA's nice, but I only ever beta-tested it and never bought it. I think Meizicht and Rose play, so they'd be better for advice...

I've a fever right now, so I can't think of most of the games I've played off the top of my head....if you're curious about any MMORPG, I can give you the pro's and con's as I experienced them...but for the ones that never really piqued my interest, I probably won't be able to give you much of an in-depth summary...

I hada bunch of ideas for better courtiers for the crane a while back, I actually know one of the guys that worked on the game. In fact, the mechanics of the Crab Merchants? Were part his ideas, and I'll have to ask him again what the card is based on him.
