this time he did not hold back his anger and spinning around he jammed his finger into the chest of the other boy, "look you, you keep stalking me, you keep insulting me and i swear to god you keep hitting on me. stop or so help me i am going to knock your block off"

When the finger touched his chest again he grabbed it and kept it from going back to the boy. "Then do it... but no offense if you can't see when some one is just trying to be nice and friendly then you are going to have a long miserable life." He picked up a bag of skittles and added it to his cart, then he released the boy. "I will do you one last favor since I took your skittles." He moved away from the grump to head towards the check out line.

leaving him alone was hardly a 'favor' though he took it all the same and not bothering to get another bag he circled the corner of the isle and hastily beat a retreat back to the busstop

Surprisingly he could not find Skittles when he toted his bags to his car. He had just enough time to get to get inside before the rain started to pick up. He started to pull off when he noticed the dark haired figure waiting at the bus stop, and stalled his car. He pulled his new umbrella from the back seat along with the bag of Skittles out of his stash and walked to the bus stop shielding both of them from the rain. "Here are your skittles, would you like an umbrella?"

"hey," he growled indignantly, "i told you i'm gonna' punch you if you keep harassing me, what part of that don't you get? it's like you are trying to make my life as miserable as you can"

He pressed the skittles into the hands of the angry boy and moved the umbrella so that it covered both of them. He smiled "Yep..." He said rather sardonically. "long and miserable, especially since the bus just left." He shook his head with the same grin, wondering if the kid really would punch him.

at first there was an upwelling of anger but as quickly as it came it left him and slumping his shoulders he gave a defeated sigh, "damnit....i really, really cant afford to bum a ride off my sister but i so don't want to wait another half hour in the rain for a damn bus. today just sucks"

His smile dropped, he really was making the boys day worse. "Geeze, how far away do you live? I mean as long as you don't punch me in the face I don't mind giving you a ride."

"dude," he stepped as far away as he could without leaving the dryness of the umbrella's ring, "haven't you ever heard of stranger-danger? for all i know you could be a pedo-rapist or something.... i may be fat but i am not dumb"

"Then why did you come to the diner with me?" He asked letting his shoulders shrug as much he could with out moving the umbrella. "I mean for all you know I could have drugged your burger before giving it back to you. But if you don't want the ride I will keep you dry till the next bus comes."

he raised a brow at that, "what good would it have done? my sister came as soon as you left just about. there were a lot of people looking too and i was perfectly capable of calling for help. in a car i am easy prey and noone would be the wiser"

He laughed. "I thought you were the pedo rapist and I was the victim? But I do not have a sweet tooth today." He thought of away to reassure the boy "plus I am happily taken." He lied.

"i have never known the victim to molest his aggressor though i feel bad for the chick who is desperate enough to bone an idiot like you." he sniggered to himself, "it must be the charm though, 'cause it isn't the brains or the looks that is for sure"

"Of course its the charm, the brains and the looks are evidently what attract people like you." He looked around and his hand fell on to his stomach. "So are we waiting for the bus?" His eyes fell on a food vendor huddled in his cart appearing as if he was gauging if he should close or not.

giving a derisive snort he finally looked up at the other, "if you are giving free rides then why would i wait on the bus?"

He repeated the boys exact words to him. "Haven't you heard of stranger danger?" He grinned. "For all you know I could be some pedo rapist... or something."

this time he gave a returning grin, "despite the common belief i lack tits and you obviously lack brains. if i feel threatened i will just have you roll down the window and look up"

He resisted the urge to point out that, the loosened pectoral muscles were pretty much the same thing but the boys entire retort confused him. Shaking his head he turned towards his car. "Here take the umbrella." Pressing it into the pale hands he ran towards his car, getting inside and pulling it up towards the bus stop.

he would have figured the other to be running away but when the guy returned in his fancy-shit car he was aplomb. he managed to hide his feelings though and put on a dour face as he closed the umbrella and got in

He waited until the boy had his seat belt on before at least pulling away from the curb. "so where am I going? Because I am sure it is not my place."

"just across town, i live on fifth and ash by the park, do you know how to get there?" looking over he realized they were both wet and soaking in the seats, "thanks for the ride. you prolly aren't really a pedo"

"I didn't really know that I could be a pedo with out shacking up with an 13 year old." He said before mumbling the address as he pulled away from the curb. "Especially since I can't legally drink yet." He said the address again before pulling out his phone and entering it into his gps ap. He set the phone where he could see it as it told him to go straight for a number of blocks.

"huh?" he raised a brow and stopped opening his bag of skittles, "you look old enough to drink to me"

"Nope, just somewhere between being able to die for the country, smoke, have a license and order..." He laughed. "Order shit off tv." He wondered if he stayed with the boy too long if his potty mouth was contagious. His phone prompted him to take a left turn and then continue straight. "What about you? You certainly look older then 13 but you don't act like it."

he scoffed, "i have been able to order shit off the tv since june though i wouldn't die for this shit-country no matter how old, i am the only son i can get out of going. family line and all that"

"Please they have that look the other way rule and the government is not to officiant about things. Its best if you go to school even if its one class a semester at the community college." He said pulling up to a red light and looking over to the open bag. He reached out and pulled a blue skittle from the top and ate it. "Do you mind if we detour for food? I am starving."

"if you are paying i am game for that." he took a couple for himself and ate them, "my uncle is in a mental ward, if they don't take that then i am insane, besides i only just graduated, i want a little time before i have to go back to the drudgery of school"

His shoulders rose and fell in a shrug as his eyes were now trying to spot a place to eat. "So this makes me wonder if your uncles case is genetic and if I really should be giving you a ride." He said pulling into a Sonic. He parked his car under one of the hoods and looked at the menu.

this time he barked a laugh, "hardly, it was stress from the army actually, he was nuts before but post-traumatic stress didn't help it. i can say i am a risk and give them my uncle's info and i am off scot-free, but i doubt i will ever have to do that, when was the last time w had a draft anyway?"

The plan did sound some what ingenious however now that he looked at the boy he doubt they would let him in the army the way he scarfed down skittles. "Vietnam, I think the one war we didn't win." He said before looking down at his dash board to stop his phone from rerouting their route for the 3rd time. "Oh wow its still happy hour." He said with a grin.

he didn't know what that mean but ignored it, "not true, we lost every other fight we've ever gotten in like somoli and iraq and if you want to go way back canada, tht was a loss and a joke though we lost many more battles than that too...only ignorant fools ignore the folly of our warmongering nation and forget the losses we have aquired"

He rested his head on his dash board looking at skittles as he ranted. "Techincally the war in Iraq is not over, it has been moved to the bigger war against terrorism. In the 80's it was not our war to begin with we were just giving them arms to keep the soviets from having a way into the middle eastern seas. No I am not counting the war of `1812, as for the Africans, what do you expect from a place that uses tactics like children and genocide?" With a deep breath he turned back to the menu as a young girl was asking them through the speaker if they were ready to order.

he blinked in surprise at that though he was quick to regain his composure and a small smirk spread over his face, "bullshit, we put our fingers in it because of oil, politics were just the excuse we used to get it done"

He laughed. "I don't pretend to know much about that stuff are you hungry or what?" He asked as the lady repeated herself. He turned towards his menu and started listing off things he wanted to eat.

when the meal came he had to marvel at the copious amount of food and only managed to shake his head as the other started chowing down, unwrapping his dog he dug out some tots to throw on top

Out of all the food he bought, he only selected a flat bread thing to eat and put the rest of it that the boy beside him didn't want into the back of his chair. He hooked his ipod up to his speakers and leaned against the steering wheel watching the rain pelt his car. "Where you a history major or is your favorite past time surfing wikipedia?"

"actually," he replied as he took another bite of his dog, "i just enjoy getting into arguments and i really dislike losing them. the bit about canada however was something i did indeed find online though not wikipedia."

His brows raised at the completely candid factoid. "I have never met a person that likes to get into arguments. I hope it was a credible source at least and your not like roommate. He wiki surfs for fun, picking an article at random then clicking the links that branch out from them. Tv tropes too." He shook his head as if trying to clear himself of the addiction. "What do you do for fun?"

he let his face fall to a sour look, "anyone who enjoys tropes is an idiot, most of my references are from books, wiki is for dates and names not for facts."

"Then what do you consider facts because Wikipedia has the same thing as encyclopedia Britannia and I have learned many facts about random shit that I have verified in books." wrapping one half of his sandwich back up he twisted digging into the bag for the cheesecake bites.
