Oh, that I did and thank you for that as well. ^_^ I love it.

#5 : I wander into the pet adoption centre and spot this cute little bulb sat in a corner, looking sad and a little lost. I go over and introduce myself, asking what is wrong. I am told how she is always overlooked for her more flashy friends and has been forgotten & left behind. Seeing her inner light and feeling bad about having to leave soon I make the promise to her that I will return every day until she finds a forever home. Just before leaving I tuck a small bar of emergency chocolate into her small living area, then sadly made my way back to my cramped flat...

pfft, poor Awen and her plant bulb. XD
^_^;; Such a pretty little plant she will be one day... She just needs love and nurturing <3
Yep, and when her petals day they will come back the following year because she's a perennial! XD
^_^ Although I would possibly be better off with a cactus as I am a crap owner ^_^;;
#2 Day 2 : Arrives bright and early to the adoption center with a bag full of toys, games and snacks ready for a fun day ahead. The little bulb looks up surprised as I enter , happy to see me keeping my promise and greets me with an excited "Hello!". We soon settle down and start chatting and playing cards, inviting some of the other left behind pets to join in with our fun and games. The day passes fast and I am sad to have to say goodbye to my new friends and promise to once again come back the next day for more fun. My bag now empty, opting to leave the games with my little bulb, I head home for another evening alone in my pokey little flat. |
Oh no. Cacti are not good for black thumbs. You need a mother in law's tongue/bowstring hemp. Those little babies can live through nearly everything and even BLOOM in the midst of being dried up.
I used to keep cacti and orchids before I moved and they seemed to thrive, so I can't be all that bad... Just get a bit too forgetful at times ^_^;;
Ohhhhh. Gotcha. XD I made a lovely discovery this morning. My poor abused African violet is budding!
That's great! They are really pretty <3 I can't wait to start growing plants again once our back garden has been a bit more landscaped and child-proofed ^_^ I'm currently waiting on the concrete pond to be destroyed by my partner so we can then fill it in and not have to worry about the little one falling in it...
