America its suppose to be a man

The image they see is the bunny that lives on the moon that makes mochi. (they see a moarter thingy with the bunny) The chinese version says its not mochi but something else o3o mochi is tasty so dk says mochi

Kaderin Triste 04-16-2017 05:31 PM

I have only had mochi ice cream (mochi wrapped around ice cream) and I really didn't like it. I want to try mochi again in case being frozen maybe had affected the taste and texture...but I don't want to buy a pack of it and be stuck with them if I don't like it.
:c

Ah, that is really interesting.
It's always neat learning about what other cultures see.
It's just a matter of different opinions.

Some asia shops sell them in smaller packages. Or you might get lucky at a japanese restaurant.

Kaderin Triste 04-16-2017 05:34 PM

Death: I live in rural Montana. We don't have Asian shops and Japanese restaurants.

Death by Mirrors 04-16-2017 05:37 PM

Ah, sucks. Maybe buy a package then and gift it to the neighbourhood kids if you don't like the taste? *cough* Halloween *cough*

You can even decorate them as small ghosts.

dragoness129 04-16-2017 05:39 PM

We don't have any of those near us either. I live in the country part of Pennsylvania myself.

Kaderin Triste 04-16-2017 05:40 PM

Lol.
I'll just not buy mochi.

Death by Mirrors 04-16-2017 05:43 PM

More money for chocolate then.

dragoness129 04-16-2017 05:43 PM

It's rather hot in the house today.

dragoness129 04-16-2017 05:51 PM

I'd like for it just to be cool. Somewhere in the 60's sounds good to me.

Demonskid 04-16-2017 06:05 PM

its 71F here -melts-

ml1201 04-16-2017 06:15 PM

Ice cream mochi isn't really all that different, I think it just sticks a bit more from being cold, though some places do add a bit of I think a powder of some kind around it so that it doesn't stick to plates and stuff as much. I've had mochi pieces on ice cream, and its kind of like marshmallow but with a different texture.

dragoness129 04-16-2017 06:31 PM

It says it is 66 degrees, but I am sure it is hotter inside than out. It does feel nicer outside. I have my windows open, but it is still blazing. It's about to let out a third burst of heat rain here. Maybe the temperature should drop to the low 60's or 60 degrees even.
