Fallen 12-13-2010 02:27 PM

After seeing that... thing... in the Brothel, I think I HAVE to become a fan of Lucid. XDD

Lucid: 12-13-2010 06:11 PM

YAY! A FAN! <3 **stamps Fallen's forehead**

ehehehe. I love having speshul Fen-hacked signatures. I had to change mine to put a sushi in it for her, but I didn't touch the part she did at all.
.....HOLD ON. my rotating signature thignerr is dead! D: **hurries and shoves a placeholder sushi for Fen to snack on while I figure out what the heck happened**

yeh, I don't know why the kitchen-dorm is less expensive. the one I live in right now costs a bit over $300/month, and I live in a small room with one other person. we each have a bed, a desk, and a wardrobe. we have a sink and a mini-fridge to share. there are lots of rooms in each wing of the building and all the girls in a wing share the same bathroom. 5 showers, 3 toilets. we have about 30 girls here; I think others have 40-45ish. we have lots of empty or single rooms.
there is a teeny-tiny kitchenette in the basement for everyone in the building (6 wings!) to share. I also have a meal plan that costs about $400/month. they load $11.10 onto my card every day and it saves up what I don't use to a maximum of $100.

Where I am moving to for the winter, it's a bit over $200/month. I haven't been in the room yet, but from what I understand there's a bed for me and my roommate, a desk, and a walk-in closet. there are two other rooms connected to the same "apartment" that share a regular-style bathroom and a normal-sized kitchen and living room with. I'm not required to have a meal plan, but if I do, I can get groceries without sales tax. I haven't decided what I want to do about the meal plan yet but the one I think I would get gives me $40 on my card every monday. anything I don't use rolls over to a max balance of $120, and it would cost something like $180/month.

work was actually really fun! technically I'm just training right now but my supervisor basically just had me set up the tapings for that hour and went over a few other things that I might have to do. it's a pretty easy job, really. lots of button-pushing and watching monitors. C:

Ashurato 12-13-2010 06:29 PM

That sounds like a job I had during college. I recorded live classes and streamed them to off-campus locations or virtual classrooms for students who could not come to class. It paid well, but it bored me to death. I actually fell asleep a couple of times, but because the professor never moved, it made no difference.

Nothing but button-pushing and monitors.

Lucid: 12-13-2010 06:38 PM

mine's got more computers and I'm allowed/encouraged to watch hulu or something when I'm not pressing buttons. I'm also taping therapy sessions instead of classes so if I want, I can listen to everyone's secrets. not that I'd particularly want to.

I'm at uni in England.

In my first year I lived in Halls, which was $624 a month. (Following lots of calculations including the conversion to dollars...)

It had all been built a couple of years ago, and I lived in a flat with 10 single rooms, (single rooms are the norm in England) all with teeny ensuite bathrooms. It's a space-saving layout but everything was very new and nice.

There was a large shared kitchen with a big table and a sofa, a hob, grill and microwave.
It was interesting, although someone in the building set off the fire alarm every other night (at about 2-4am) and we'd all have to go stand outside for 10 minutes.
They got so common I just ignored them - but there's an alarm in each room, so for the freaking ANNOYING sound not to bother me, I had to go into my little bathroom, press big headphones to my ears and listen to rock music.

Now in my 2nd year, I'm sharing a house in town with 3 friends, all girls. We all have our own rooms.
It's a 10 minute walk to the city centre, and a 10 minute bus onto campus. I love being with friends.

The house old and the downstairs is cold, but the kitchen's newly fitted, the windows are double glazed and the beds are comfy.

Next year, I'm studying in MA. Funfunfun. Back with Freshers, and sharing a room!

Hello Lexis! :D **stamps forehead**

I would get SO MAD if someone set the fire alarm off all the time. D: I like my sleep. ;A;

SakuraMinamino 12-16-2010 03:16 AM

*cuddles Lucid* Hai thar. Love the cosplay ^^

I'm sleepy and bored. xD

Lucid: 12-16-2010 03:41 AM

thank you. <3 I like it too. but that might just be because the last few I did were crap. XD

I'm sleepy and bored and don't want to pack. D: but I have to be moved out by 6 tomorrow. I have no car to move any of my crap though. **cries in corner** I wish I had a real-life fanclub of people who would help me out.

SakuraMinamino 12-16-2010 03:51 AM

lol, I'm sure they were fine! I'm attempting to be Glaceon but I don't know how well it's working xD

lol well at least we're sleepy and bored together <3 But wow, yeah, you definitely need to pack! And what are you going to do without a car?? D: Where are you going to put all your stuff? Someone has to come help you. I would if I lived close by <3

Lucid: 12-16-2010 04:14 AM

omgwtfbbq, Sakura, you know profile comments are not conducive to aurum and evolving item earning! D:

I'm purple? I thought it was periwinkle? whatever. my magic powahs include editing your posts, seeing people online who are invisible, locking/merging/binning threads, and the magical staff forum.

I'm still allowed to enter the item design contest because other staff have entered before. Ashy entered the first one and had her designs win.

SakuraMinamino 12-16-2010 04:29 AM

Yeah but posting in this thread doesn't give you a magical notification that I feel like talking to you. *grinnn* <3

Yay! You're magic. xD I didn't even know we could go invisible owo Learn new things everyday!!

Hee, yay. Well that's good to hear. <3

What are you going to do about moving your stuff tomorrow?

Lucid: 12-16-2010 04:32 AM

actually it does. :B hur hur. I have this thread subscribed to, so if you post in it, it will tell me "HAY! Your fanclub loves you!" and I can go see what you say. <3

I knew we could be invisible because Rainy is aaaaalwayys invisible when she's online. it took me a while to figure that out, and I still don't know how to go invisible myself. XD but I've known it's an option ever since I noticed that her "online" light never turns on even when I'm talking to her.

tomorrow, I will, uh, I dunno. bully and pester people until I can find someone with a car, probably.

SakuraMinamino 12-16-2010 06:19 PM

OHISEE! Well that changes everything. *grin* Okies, I will post here from now on. <3

Oh! Well that's funny that you know it can be done but don't know how xD We could always ask Rainy, I suppose, since we know she knows how to do it? Interesting. I don't have much reason to want to be invisible right now, though. xD On other sites, sometimes yeah. Here? No. xD

Well...let me know how everything went when you can make it back online? <3 Hope it's all right.

Ashy 12-16-2010 07:58 PM

whats this i hear about a lucid fanclub? that im not a part of!?!?!

Lucid: 12-19-2010 06:41 AM

I don't want to be invisible usually, especially here since I love EVERYBODY!

**stamps Ashy's forehead gleefully** you're a part of mah loverly fanclub now! ^o^

my move went pretty well. I posted about it a few times already in other threads but basically my cousin came and helped me move and I met my roommates and they were cool. I flew home today and had to sit in a middle-seat. the lady next to me was fat and spilled over into my seat. D:
I'm glad to be home though.

Ashy 12-19-2010 06:58 PM

oh man that would be so uncomfortable all flight ><
