I tried playing Morrowind for a while, like for real. xD I was an archer, but I couldn't hit anything or find anything, especially in Vivec, so i gave it up. The parts I did play I kind of enjoyed, but I guess I wasn't ready to learn something new, you know? And yeah I agree there too, some things were done better. In my opinion, the fact that there was a mudcrab you could sell expensive weapons to for all their worth, instead of having to sell for way less like in Oblivion. On a related/funny note, I like it take audio from Oblivion and put it into this app called "Songify" that auto-tunes it and mixes it. xD It's really hilarious. |
I know about Mr. Mudcrab, though I've yet to actually find him. He's not exactly easy to bump into. I have a vague idea of where he is from seeing a friend find him. Hasnt' made much of a difference though. I'm rich anyway from persistant selling of the smaller stuff I get.
Maybe you just weren't skilled enough yet to hit anything with your bow. My character is good at it but I'm level 40-ish or so, and can kill most weaker things with one shot, and some tougher things too. |
I know I had to level up my Cardboard Weapon skill a fair bit before I could hit anything with my boxes. These things take time. :D
And, more seriously, I found that reading the Morrowing For Oblivion Players guide on UESP was really helpful in making the transition. It would be cool if they had one of those in advance for Skyrim, but I doubt it, unless I wait to pick the game up. |
Broad side of a bard, hey Suzerain?
(got me a daedric box!) |
Stop trying to hit my broad bard Quiet XP
That was a rather funny typo though :3 |
I can't wait for it to come out. My girlfriend has pre-ordered the game.
|
I am looking forward to Skyrim's release since I finally got enough money to pre-order the special edition. Oblivion was the first Elder Scrolls game I played and i was really surprised at how much I enjoyed it.
|
im looking forward to Skyrim, i really didn't feel like morrowind was that great of a game but i absolutely LOVE oblivion.
|
loved oblivion.
*glomps Hoshi* You didn't tell me we were getting the SP version! |
I still like Daggerfall, but between that and Morrowind, it's hard to call because both games have things the other doesn't. I think it's the same with Obilivion too. I like MD though. Looting Daedra ruins is a favourite passtime, or searching out old Dunmer fortresses. :)

I can't wait to play Skyrim. I literally did everything in Morrowind and most of Oblivion. It's gonna be epic.
|
We ended up buying all the extras from oblivion XD I loved having a castle of my own on there.
|
Anyone play Nine Swords or whatever that was? It was an expansion for Oblivion wasn't it? I remember looking at it in the store. Or Shivering Isles?
|
Knights of the Nine? I played it on my paladin RP and had a blast with it. It's fun, flavorful, and gives great rewards for the sacrifices you have to make.
Then I accidentally killed an ally during one of the Oblivion attacks and lost my Knighthood, so I decided to Fall and became an anti-paladin rocking full daedric armor and a claymore. :D Edit: Oh, and it's an add-on, slides right into the regular Oblvion world. Shivering Isles takes you to another locale entirely. |
Heh. Nice. The only accident I've had was when I accidentally hit an orc I hadn't realized what standing nearby while swinging at a cliff racer. I spend some time on online *unnoficial* guide to make sure I hadn't killed anyone important. It's not like there were many people in that area to begin with.

You mean the UESP or something else? That site is amazing; can't play these games without it.
