Also being a pirate, sailing from one island to the next and getting rich from all the money you find just laying around in the coral reefs alone. >u> 'Tis a great attitude.
|
cats.

there's a veranda across from the building where i live, and there are often a couple of kittens there. mostly in the evening. i think they roam with their parent during the day and are told to stay put there in the evening |

Holy hell my hangout is super empty all of a sudden! 8o
I wonder what could've scared everyone off? <:/ Is it the pond water? BT I think it's the pond water. It looks very murky and unsafe...but then again, that's because it is. <x} It stinks too. <:s *sniff* Oo, wait, that's just me. <xS Maybe I'll give myself a little self care with a nice underwater shower. :] Be back in a jiff! And enjoy this gif! xD https://media.giphy.com/media/9S706i...9s9Q/giphy.gif |
kitties!
i think we're all off shouting into the void XD |
A kitty clone! An imposter! xD
I think there must be a lot to shout about after all, <x} I've been there. |
tee hee... i know what you mean ... I've been there too.
|
Kind of hard to shout underwater.
|
hmm... good point
|
:] Oh you can shout underwater,
and it'll carry, no problem, as sound travels x5 faster underwater. :/ You might not understand what's being shouted though as it gets all garbled though, true. But if you shout deep enough, <B{ you might not like what shouts back... |
Showerthought...maybe all the bubbles that exist underwater are just shouts waiting to be heard.
|
On that note:
are fart bubbles are butt shouts..? |
Also sorta random...:/ Kinda wondering if I am goth.
<:/ or just a frickin' geek. <x/ I don't know if I really fit into any group or subculture at all. <:c Am I a movie buff? No. A weeb or otaku? No. A gamer? No. Maybe? <x[ A comic nerd? No. <:[ Mbpth...I give up. >n> If only there was a subculture that likes eating pasta, laughing at things in slow-mo, being an idiot on pvp matches, and 90's hit songs... |
make your own subculture! :D
cause this is always gonna be a challenge for me too- i either don't fit all the requirements for one subculture or i have interests that span others too. |
Yeaah. >:] *nodnod*
I'll make a subculture just for me, which will involve lots of metal music, animated movies, plushies, video games, breakfast cereals, pirate flags, short horror stories, owl collecting, memes, raspberry iced tea, and cookin' pasta. >:} :/ I don't seem to fit the bill for board games though, as those require more than one person to play. ;U; And looks sad when you're playing a game with yourself alone. |
That's why I always play board games with Derpy.
So I look less pathetic. That's less pathetic...right? Right?!?! >.> <.< |
That reminds me of my childhood, my parents kept to themselves and no siblings, so I played board games on my own. But since it was pre-internet, the great invention of MS-DOS board games came around and you could compete with a computer! Hmm, now things might be starting to make sense...
|
@ Kaderin: It's more cute than pathetic. ;u; <3
It used to be sad like that when I was a kid, in school, with all these board games around to play with +4 players. ;-; Things like Hi-Ho-Cheerio, Jenga, Boggle, Battleship, UNO and Mastermind...I used to get those out of the cubby shelves during free-time, while all the other kids literally did anything else. ;n; So I would just sit at the table talking to myself like I was two people playing one game. I guess the teachers felt so bad, one would always come over and sit with me and offer to be a second player. :D That usually made my day. But as teachers were the only ones who wanted to play with me, I got gud at alot of those games, and ended up sweeping the adult teachers. <x'} I'm not sure if some of them let me win, or I was truly that good. >u> Maybe at Mastermind. I feel safe in assuming I was pretty good at that...still am. :/ Though it also goes by the name Codebreaker. As for a computer opponent I used to be good at Solitaire..but not Spider Solitare...and also just whatever games my dad got on the windows store in the early 2000's. ;u; Chuzzle, Mahjong Master, Luxor 3,...I miss those... ;-; |
...maybe tomorrow Derpy and I will play the Crazy Cat Lady board game. XD
Ooh...I love Mastermind! I was pretty good at it! |
:D Yeah, this thing!
http://www.theboardgamefamily.com/wp...termind-11.jpg ^-^ If I could, I'd go to the Target to buy it but I'm scared of large gatherings of people in one area more than I used to already be. <8] <x} I'll just try sticking with the games we have here in the house for now.. :o Is anyone else finding themselves super bored btw? Or are you finding some means to always keep yourself entertained and productive? :/ |
I'm not super bored yet, but I still have 3 downloaded videos to watch. And have a lot of crafts I should finish.
But I am mildly irritated because my label maker arrived yesterday, but I forgot it didn't come with batteries and I didn't realize I didn't have any so now I'm debating if I want to go get some at the store so I can use it this weekend to re-do my nail polish swatches and reorganize my polishes or just wait and get some when I'm on my way to work on Monday because janitorial is considered "essential" and Joann is also an "essential" business, so I will actually work both jobs that day. And also a little frustrated because I ended up stuck working late last night so I wasn't able to stop by target (or maybe even hobby lobby) to pick up a new coffee pot because my old one broke and I need coffee if I'm gonna end up stuck at home very much. |
<:/ That sounds like a lot to do, and a bit stressful yo.
I hope you have some music to pass the time a little easier. Honestly, I would have a little too much fun with a label maker, <x'] I'd start labelling flippin' everything I could. As for coffee, I haven't had any caffeine for a while, since I don't need to keep awake or anything, but I tend to get tired in the afternoon now and wanna nap, <x] So I may or may not have a cup of tea later on. |
I've got music. And Disney movies on vhs. And a lot of movies and tv shows on dvd.
Once my downloaded videos run out, I'll probably resume my Friends marathon and play some board games with Derpy, though I don't have many. If I can find the marbles, we may play Chinese checkers! Ah, tbh coffee has pretty much no/very little effect on me. Which can be nice. It's almost more of a comfort item for me. And also....must have coffee for Derpy or else... >.> Lol |
Oh good!
<x] I don't know how I'd get by without music. 8/ I suppose I would probably sing to myself like the egg I am. <xD I already talk to myself, making everyone within radius question my sanity, hehehe. I miss my Disney movies. <:3 Might pull out a few on VHS and watch them in the living room alone since no one will watch them with me. <x] I have some of my favorite ones on DVD tho, :/ so I might watch them in bed. <x] My favorites being Mulan, Aladdin, The Lion King, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, and Sleeping Beauty. |
80
We could remotely watch a movie together! You could kind of watch a movie with Derpy! Lol |
<xD Awwh!!
That's adorable. :] I wish I could now. <x] But there's a little more cleaning left to do. :/ Including dirty laundry. I'd totally watch Pinocchio over again though. <x] The last time I watched it though, ;.; I couldn't help but tear up over When You Wish Upon A Star. OH! BAMBI! <x'O I'd totally watch and cry with that one too! <3 |
I thought I still had my Mastermind game, but it might be hiding somewhere. I was actually thinking about Chinese Checkers earlier. Maybe there are some good online versions.
|
Awww....well....at some point during quarantine maybe you and Derpy can watch a movie at the same time!
XD |
;U; The last time I watched Bambi, I didn't get past the opening song and credits, my face just started leaking..
<x} I haven't played Chinese Checkers since like, 2011. Wish I had a board and marbles. I like the marbles. :T |
if anyone finds marbles, send them my way... i seemed to have lost a few XD
i have my forums, my books, my dragons (i'm still on dragoncave), my tv shows.... most of the time though hubby's got his entire Pandora library playing on shuffle - we just heard Hungry Eyes from Eric Carmen, and now it's playing Rammstein. XD i also have my crochet as well. i do have to go out tonight and pick up my groceries, though. I'm expecting about 50% of what i ordered, because they don't do substitutions anymore. the most frustrating example is - i ordered 5 bottles of different flavors of Sparkling Ice. previous to all this covid19 crap, if they didn't have a flavor, they'd pick another one. now they won't. i'll just get the flavors i ordered and they won't charge me for the others. one other time i ordered a huge party-size package of oreos. they were out, so i got 2 family-size packages for the same price. now, i just wouldn't get oreos. i ordered a 16-ounce box of store-brand pasta. before, i'd get San Georgio or Barilla. now, i just wouldn't get the pasta. so, I'm only expecting 40% of what i placed. which means i'll have to go out tomorrow and go shopping at the actual store. i started the order online cause I'm just lazy and don't wanna go. XD anyway. i won't get bored. ps, after Rammstein, it's now playing Ed Sheeran |
Heheh, I appreciate the marble pun.
That's pretty crummy that they don't do substitutions anymore. I'm hoping it will be less of a problem with stocking items soon. I was surprised to learn my main grocery store actually started planning for the pandemic in January. Till Lindemann recently tested negative, so it's safe to listen to Rammstein at least! |
Ahhh....I'm mad 'cause I wanna take cute Derpy pics to share, but I can't actually upload them to share because without wifi they take too long and the site times out!
*flail* |
yaay for marble puns.
i agree about the no substitutions, Bio. and i won't know what I'm not getting until i get there to pick it up. I'm getting a few things that will need to go in the refrigerator, so i probably shouldn't park and go get my own substitutions tonight. probably tomorrow. i also still go into my office two days a week - it's just me and my boss, and she looks ahead to see which days are better for her and me, and we go from there. if she's in, I'm home; and when I'm in she's at home. it works out well. and i still get paid. but - I've lost Michael's during this time, since they're closed until April 19th (so far) and yaay for Lindemann's negative results! |
update: i got about 50% of what i ordered.
so i had to go into the store to buy the other half of what i ordered. today's frustration was that two of the items i ordered they couldn't fill, but when i got into the store, they were there on the shelf. now, it's possible that they filled what they could of the order last night, and out of what that person was able to fill, my items weren't on the shelf then, but they were this morning. it's like a scavenger hunt these days. one concern i have is that i'd buy a lot of store-brand items because they're less expensive. but when i have to buy name brand bagels for twice as much as store-brand, and brand name pasta, and brand name bread... it adds up. and we really can't do that every week.... i'm going to see about increasing my credit card limit tomorrow, and a few other payment deferments. hopefully, it'll all work out. |
Derpy waddles in and plops down on the floor, pouting. "I want cookies, but mama says that's not a essential item so we can't go to the store..."
|
<:3 Don't worry Derpy. I'll share with you some of the yellow cake that I have leftover. ^u^ <3
|
i have some oreos i can share, Derpy!
|
^-^ While some kindly donated sweets are being distributed around the pond, how about some nice warm cups of tea? :}
*looks at empty mug in hand* :[ Oops. It's 9pm. Maybe I shouldn't have had black tea at 9pm... >w>; |
i'm not actually bored during this lockdown. i'm busier than ever, unexpectedly TT college seems to think we aren't going to do anything at home if they don't absolutely deluge us with homework. i also have two fanfiction commissions, and other fanfictions i'm writing for fic fests, to work on :D i wish i could ditch the homework and just write my stories.
there's also a lot to do around the house, and i find myself dropping activities i used to otherwise do regularly, like texting. i've also stopped going to one of the forums i used to frequent. it's a place i eventually returned to so far, but for now i'm on here and wetting my feet in Pantheon and Voltra. Panda told me to check Pantheon out, heee. |
