I've never really gotten cold before. I could go out and play in snow for hours, and now it's like low 40's and I can't stop shivering.

Oh wow that's crazy

A couple weeks ago I went on a christmas hike, and it rained all night and was sub-freezing and we couldn't get the tents out so we all huddled under a tarp. I ended up somehow without my sleeping bag during the night and nearly frooze too death.

Winter Camping is not all that bad unless something bad happens. Wet is easy to deal with, so is cold... but when you combine them do things get dangerous.
