I sort of agree with Raster, but would keep some humans in a dedicated area. It's always sad when a species vanishes completely.

they'd have no choice but to revolt or die, in which case, they'd probably try both.

You would need to keep and eye on the humans if you keep a few around. I hear they can reproduce relatively quick, and sometimes on accident. Don't want an infestation on your hands, do you?
