LOL!

there's also pics of blankets/throws i've made before at that 'ravelry' link in my sig too. =)

Glitch 01-22-2016 10:56 PM

you're so amazing ;`;

teach meeeee

trystan830 01-22-2016 11:09 PM

aw thanks!

come on over! oh wait.. it's snowing outside right now. hmm... maybe not this weekend. XD

Glitch 01-22-2016 11:31 PM

I tried to make a single line once but it was so bumpy and i couldn't figure out how to double back and make the second line D:

I used to have a boss that would crochet plastic bags into purses ouo

trystan830 01-22-2016 11:43 PM

oops. i also teach crochet at my local michael's (where i also cashier on the weekends), and the biggest thing is making that starting chain too tight so you can't put the hook back into the chain to make the next row.

i don't crochet plastic bags ('plarn')... yet. ;)

Glitch 01-23-2016 01:45 AM

the purses always looked really cool!!

Ya I think I couldn't figure out how not to make it too tight XD

trystan830 01-23-2016 04:36 PM

cool!

when i started crocheting, i had such a death-grip on the hook. but i think it's just practice and repetition to hold it looser.

Glitch 01-23-2016 05:40 PM

what are you working on now?

Monorea 01-23-2016 05:44 PM

I grip and press too hard with almost anything i use. Thats often why i find it so hard to draw or doing other artsy and delicate stuff.

trystan830 01-23-2016 05:52 PM

Glitch - i'm making two flag blankets for a lady i know - one's an American flag, the other a South African flag. it's for a charity called 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day.

Glitch 01-23-2016 07:03 PM

oh that is really cool!!

trystan830 01-23-2016 07:07 PM

once it's finished, it'll be at the 'ravelry' link in my sig. =)

Glitch 01-23-2016 07:12 PM

can't wait to see it!^^

i'm just trying to do some pixeling today and watching mad men

trystan830 01-23-2016 08:05 PM

younger daughter has a friend over (also friend of hubby, they all go gokarting), and they've been watching Criminal Minds most of the day.

Glitch 01-23-2016 09:18 PM

I switched to anime, I just can't get into Mad Men xD

Glitch 01-24-2016 12:31 AM

pixeled for hoursssss today. My hand feels sore and is all limp like a noodle XD

Monorea 01-24-2016 05:38 AM

How do you deal with that soreness? Just relaxation, hand bath or something else?

Glitch 01-24-2016 01:53 PM

Ya I just force myself to stop and switch to doing something else ^_^

trystan830 01-24-2016 03:47 PM

i'm sore in general. still think i'm sleeping funny. might be the new pillow i needed 2 days after i got the current pillow.....

Glitch 01-24-2016 05:48 PM

Ah man I want a new pillow

trystan830 01-24-2016 05:55 PM

i'm lazy about getting it, and we don't really have the money for one either.... *sigh*

Monorea 01-24-2016 06:19 PM

Are pillows really that expensive? I suppose if you want a big one filled with feathers it can cost a bit but the other kinds arent all that bad in price?

trystan830 01-24-2016 06:30 PM

no, they're not really. i get the extra firm, but not the ones with feathers. it's more my lazyness, really.

Glitch 01-24-2016 06:55 PM

I like fluffy squishy pillows

trystan830 01-24-2016 06:58 PM

that's what the one i have started out as.

littl3chocobo 01-24-2016 07:36 PM

i like firm but not super thick XD

Glitch 01-24-2016 09:28 PM

ya they always do v.v that's why you gotta get replacements

Monorea 01-25-2016 04:57 AM

I like pillows with feathers best since they are firm yet you sink into them.
Thus they cover my ears and sounds wont bother me when sleeping.

littl3chocobo 01-25-2016 09:09 AM

but little feather bits come out point-first

Monorea 01-25-2016 09:33 AM

What are you talking about?

littl3chocobo 01-25-2016 11:06 AM

the smaller feathers in a feather pillow come out sometimes and they come out pointy-side first when they do

Glitch 01-25-2016 03:38 PM

Yes they do xD I don't like feather pillows, too firm for me!

Monorea 01-25-2016 03:55 PM

Then there is something wrong with your pillow, the feathers in mine are soft enough so there isnt anything pointy and only place something comes out is the corners sometimes. FIRM! FIRM! I have never felt a pillow softer than feather pillows.

littl3chocobo 01-25-2016 03:59 PM

they are only firm if they are way overstuffed or the cloth inside of the pillow(for keeping the feathers in) is too thick XD

i am not big in down bedding in general

Monorea 01-25-2016 04:22 PM

SO what kind of pillows do you use? Cotton? Fibers? Gel? Something else?

Glitch 01-25-2016 05:29 PM

i want one of those temperpedic pillows.

although they start to smell really bad at some point.

ALSO I AM THE WORST AT PAGE CONTESTS!!!

Lucid won page 45 XD

updating now

littl3chocobo 01-25-2016 06:32 PM

that plastic batting they put in body pillows XD it has to withstand drool and detergent. natural fibers rot too easily if they are not dried well

Monorea 01-25-2016 07:14 PM

And since it is foam you can't just freeze it like normal pillows and shoes to get rid of the bad smell.

littl3chocobo 01-25-2016 07:17 PM

why would you freeze it? the bacteria is still there even if it is dead x____x -hugs washing machine-

Monorea 01-25-2016 07:20 PM

The smell is gone tho? and you can't wash shoes like that!
