Lols I was debating with a friend yesterday about the acting and Snape's portrayal and how Snape's character evolved...

Yes I remember reading the books for the first time agreeing with Harry that shape HAD to be bad. But when I got to the fifth book I decided. Snaps is a good guy he justhas to be. I took faith in dumbledore and when he was killed I read the exchange several times
at first I was angry. Dumbledore was reaching out to him wanting help and he stabbed in the back. Then as I read ot a few times i decided I was missing something. Maybe shape was still.good... but yes I LOVED snapes character. He was developed well.

I started out hating him as well, but in the 3rd book I decided he wasn't all that bad and since Harry looked so much like his father, Snape thought he was getting revenge on James. So I started to feel a little better about Snape.

Even though Dumbledore was certain Snape was a good guy and all that I was still leery of him and still didn't trust him. Then he killed Dumbledore. But at that point I realized he wasn't all that bad. I knew he killed Dumbledore, but it was in the name of saving Draco and 'keeping his innocence'. I truly believed him to have decided it was best to protect Draco than to help the Order, I always felt that Snape would do ANYTHING to rescue Draco from the same fate, and that because of that touch of morality, he couldn't be all that bad...

The in the last book, when Harry looked back in the Pensive, I literally couldn't stop crying. That's when I realized I had ALWAYS been rooting for Snape to be a good guy. I just knew he had a reason for all he did.

After that I actually re-read the books as the story of Harry, but Narrated by Snape, or the story more of Snape than Harry. It's actually really easy to read it that way. It was kind of awesome.

Having read how much Snape loved Lily, I was able to understand just why Snape did what he did. I ADORED that the last thing Snape saw was the eyes he had loved his entire life. It really touched me.

I LOVE Alan Rickman as Snape. No one else could have done it better!!! I also love how JKR gave Rickman the info of Snape's love for Lily before anyone else knew. I loved that she did that and it really did make Rickman's performance the best thing ever...

On a side note...No one but Dame Maggie Smith could have EVER been Professor McGonagall...And I mean NO ONE...She's who I pictured in my head from the start...(well as soon as I saw The Sister Act she's who I pictured)

dood I so agree with you. After I read the seventh book and learner. I re read the series again and when I got to book six I bawled for different reasons than when I first read it. When dumbledore says please. He meant please kill me. It tore my heart apart. I cried all night. So hard. It still names me cry hard. NOTHING can compair to snapes character. He was the one who risked most. He is pretty much my favorite character ever..

I cried hard when snakes died and asked Harry to look at him. It was so touching... I love everything about snape.
And I love that Harry named one of his kids after him. Because he realized snape was a good huh all along.

Omg I agree with you with both Alan rickman and Maggie Smith. Man they were MADE for the roles! I liked most of the cast

Seriously though. Those two were PERFECT for those roles.

Professor Sprout looked almost exactly like her description. They did really good with her as well...

Hagrid I actually expected to look a little more bushy (if that makes sense).

Flitwick though was almost just as good as Rickman and Smith. I mean Warwick Davis did so many of the roles in the movie (well at least two of them) and he was really good for them...(just noticed both the actor and the caracter's names have wick in them...LOLS!)

Another good one was actually Draco. He did really well playing an 'evil' role. He said it was the hardest thing for him to do and that he practiced the smirk/sneer every night in the mirror just to get it right...

Rupert Grint was PERFECT!!! He's even Arachnophobic just like Ron!!! I loved it!

XD they cast as good as they could. I loved the cast, yes they messed up lots but sometimes you get great people and sometimes you have to do the best you can xD

I myself don't really go by the movies. Id rather read the books. So much better in a million ways. I liked using my imagination for the characters
sometimes movie mess that up so bad.

I ADORE the books. In fact I've got two book reference tattoos...If you didn't read the books then you really don't understand my tattoos...it's really kind of fun...
