I'm sorry I haven't been on much lately. I've found after staring at a computer screen at work for 8 hours, I tend to not want to look at mine. I really am not liking this job.

o_o I work for a company that does the outsourced call center jobs for various places. I am working credit and collections for an electric and gas company. People get pissy when you turn them off for not paying. -Grumbles.- Some only by $20. Others owe over a thousand.

Oh wow....ouch. That would definitely not be a fun job...at least in terms of the calls themselves.

Its not fun. I really quite resent the job. I know somebody has to do it, but honestly, I see a lot of people who cheat the system. Most of the SSI/SSD people feel so self fu*king entitled I want to slap them through the phone. Who the fu*k do they think they are! -Grumbles.- Damn brats get it all handed to them, I work for my money! Which is not really a whole lot after taxes.

That definitely can't be an easy job...don't envy you. And yeah, they do act entitled as hell....part of the problem with the system and how people abuse it.

Alpha- What's worse is we can't really snap back at them. We can disconnect if they cuss at us and we warn them. One told me to shove her bill up my ass. -_- One friend told me I should of responded with, "I can't, your husband is playing there." >_< I would of been fired, but boy that would have been hilarious.

Yeah...that's any job where you have to deal with people/customer service sort of thing....probably why I'll never be too great with them...at least not being able to do so and be happy with my job. *laughs* That certainly would have been hilarious.

Understand. It takes a special kind of person to do it and not get tired of it...especially when the people are complete...well....donkeys and their rear ends.

The sad part is, they tried to put me on outbound calling. I was hired strictly for inbound. So I'm pissed with that. On top of it, they're about to force over time, as well as cutting our hour lunches in half and stating mandatory 30 minute lunches.

They pay the time and half. I get about 2 hours of OT just from clocking in 5 min early, then when I get stuck in a call that takes me over my 6 pm end time. I don't really want the OT, but they're saying because we have to do these damn outbound calls, they're looking to force us to stay. -Grumbles.- We'll see how long that lasts.

Well, at least they pay what they're supposed to. And damn....just....damn.....(can't think of much else to say at the audacity).

They legally have to do time and half.
