Lucid: 02-11-2011 03:59 AM

what happened to you? did you die today? D:

Airina 02-11-2011 04:02 AM

i went to public skate yesterday just to clear my head and i hit a divot and my skate slide out from under me and i landed pretty hard on my wrist. D=

Lucid: 02-11-2011 04:03 AM

ouch! >.< skating is painful.

Airina 02-11-2011 04:04 AM

Skating is fun. Falling is painful. But it's also painful to fall while walking, yet people still walk all of the time.

Lucid: 02-11-2011 04:06 AM

but people don't fall while walking nearly as often as people fall while skating.

Airina 02-11-2011 04:08 AM

people fall in so many different ways. up stairs, down stairs, tripping over books, falling over people.... take your pick.

Lucid: 02-11-2011 04:11 AM

true, but those are all dependent on surroundings. most people don't randomly lose their balance and fall over multiple times in an hour while walking, but that happens all the time while skating.

Airina 02-11-2011 04:15 AM

No it doesn't. Not if you're good. And babies fall down all of the time. they don't know how to walk so they fall down, you don't know how to skate so you fall down.

Lucid: 02-11-2011 04:24 AM

yes...but there are also other complications in skating such as divots and toe picks and home teachers who happen to be violent flirts. babies don't have to face these challenges while walking.

Airina 02-11-2011 01:38 PM

Older brothers who push them down, toys in their way, dogs who like to play....

Lucid: 02-11-2011 02:36 PM

still not quite as common. parents love to create a perfect, safe environment for walking practice.

Airina 02-11-2011 02:37 PM

Mine didn't do that for little brother... hence his nickname bonko.

Lucid: 02-11-2011 03:02 PM

haha. well, by then they just realized that it's not quite as big a deal I guess? XD

Airina 02-11-2011 03:03 PM

He didn't learn how to walk... he learned how to run. and would run in a direction until he ran into something than he would change direction. he was constantly covered in bruises.

Lucid: 02-11-2011 03:05 PM

and now he's constantly sickly.
haha, poor kid.
