(by the way, is that Tris with a short 'i' or a long 'i'? i've been pronouncing it with a short i, like my screen name is pronounced, like 'Tristan')

Techincally, the name is derived from "tri-sphere," but it's better sounding with a short I. :)

according to some of the things being discussed, there may be another site in the works from the mods and programmers who were at UF. there are things that won't be able to be used, but the idea is it'll be a similar site to UF.... but with a different name.

That's how a lot of people felt about Ernya too! I think some people are trying to make a similiar site for Ernya as well.

Seems to be a lot of this happening right now. I have no idea what UF was but I'm sorry for your loss, I've felt this sting several times myself :(

From what I just heard from a friend that was part in the UF staff, Acid was trying to pass the site off to someone else but didn't want to let go of the site completely. They offered to pay him royalties, but he decided to shut the site down completely. Unifaction isn't coming back. This actually doesn't surprise me. Ever since the staff(mainly Acid) started to grow distance with its members there and threatening(only acid did this) the members, unifaction had been slowly falling apart. A few people saw this coming years in advance.

Glitch - UF was the avatar forum for Unicreatures, a critter collectable site. well, in a nutshell. it was also ohana, too.

walkingdeadandalone - yeah, that sounds about right. Acid/Tarsupin/Brint (all his Uni names) seemed to be of the opinion that everyone is entitled to his opinion. *sigh*

What's up with all these shitty admins? I know of multiple websites that shut down because of shitty admins. I mean, seriously, I would rather get royalties XD I don't need control unless I'm going to do it right....but I do like money. Don't want to give up all the money XD

Reminds me of another admin of another website that would refuse to see problems and then work on getting you banned for some stupid reason. That one is no longer an admin of said website.

I left UF for Tris when Brint changed everything over to the supposedly "improved" version.... wow. Way back in early 2014. I'd considered re-joining a few times... but couldn't get over the new look of UF, so I never did... and now I'm down to two forums, and two pet sites (Chicken Smoothie and Eldemore), though one of the forums is connected to another pet site (Kingdom of Knuffel). Kind of nice not to have to worry about saying something that I perceived as innocent and most everyone who read it perceived as harmless, only for an admin or mod to get on my case about it.

i joined here in october of 2014... i know there was weird stuff going on on Uni, but i can't remember now what it was, other than Brint having another tantrum, probably about someone not running his site the way he wanted it.

i have Dragon Cave and Magistream for click sites; MS has a forum too. and i have here and Ravelry for forums. =)

That style of pet always strikes me as a cash grab... But I guess it's exciting to advance your creatures.
