Usually when I do that I just make beef stew instead. I let it simmer about 4 hours before I let anyone dig in. XD I've actually smacked my brother with the ladle before for trying to get into it before it was ready.

Yesterday my grandma took these dried apples she had and boiled them up in some water. They came out like pie filling, and they were so delicious.
