I can't speak for your place Luna, but I get like that sometimes too. I do have some justification for it though, my roommates hardly do anything unless I ask/nag.

You could do what I did to my grandma, just don't do jack around the house, make her really see what it is like. I help my mom out with some house work. Mostly doing the lawn, dishes, minor cleaning. I run the laundry up and down the stairs, garbage. >_<

I couldn't do that. My mom has more stress then she can deal with, and not doing anything would possibly push her further then she can stand to go right now.
