But some of use foreigners find ourselves turning into natives and picking up their slang anyway, despite our best efforts not to.

I love downtown (or uptown, whatevs they're calling it idfk the place with all the crazy shops and the expensive coffee and the Discovery doodad place). Don't live very close to it, though. :s
