I don't think any of the items are more rare than others it all just seems to be random.

Time for some more chocolate bait then. And maybe roentgen glasses for the ants and other item deliverers, so they can check for duplicates when bringing samplers... *sneaks into hidden backyard laboratory and starts tinkering*

They seem to have stopped delivering samplers to me, so duplicates may be a non-issue now.
