Taking classes, or just learning from anime/random online resources?
If you're going the anime route, believe me, you don't need to learn 5 different ways to say "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!"

Taking classes, and getting extra help from my son's god father in Japan.

To learn it, you need to do it fulltime. It's best to go to a class since it's quite a complicated language if you also want to write it, or to speak correctly.

Well good luck then, it's one of the hardest languages to learn (writing-wise), vocabulary and grammar isn't too bad though.

I'm still trying to learn it myself... and Korean. The business thing now is to learn Chinese though, so maybe I'll get into that too at some point.
