Well the little town that has the gyms that I mentioned has their farmers market on Fridays and I do like to go so that gives me a reason beyond just Pokemon to go there. I like the game but I can't justify the gas and time to go just for the sake of some loot.
|
I can understand that being an issue. As a non-driver I have to wait for my partner to be home before I can go to any pokestops as I have quite crippling social anxiety... It's part of the reason why I don't talk on here much... But it's something me and the partner can do together as most of the time he is at work and I'm working and looking after the small one... Plus it's helping both of us get fitter ^_^;;

It's okay Awen, I'm trying to get a job where I don't have to interact directly with customers anymore, quite a few of them are very off putting. When more so when they are either very verbal about their politic/religious views or talking about current events like they know what they are talking about and ignoring you when you hint to them five times that they are insulting your nationality. That last one was really annoying to deal with, saying Ukrainians are Russians while if it was the rest of my family they would not be happy to hear that from him because my ancestors left Ukraine to come to America because they wanted to get away from the Russians that were taking over Ukraine.
When it comes to things like that I REALLY don't want to talk to anyone, and my job not talking to me about changes being done is awful, once again they said we don't do something in my area and didn't tell me. =.=; |
*Offers hugs to Awen and ml1201*
One of my mother's students had a similar story to that - his family also left the Ukraine. On a pokemon note, my 10km egg was an eevee. Now, I love eevees...but... |
Look on the bright side: That's a bunch of Eevee candy!
|
*cuddles Law* That's quite lucky, congrats on your Eevee! <3
I've not had any eggs for a while as I've not been able to get to any pokestops since last weekend... |
Good haul today. Got some pastries and mom bought jams and backing. Hit the stops 16 times or so, took out a low level pokemon at a rival gym, only caught a couple commons guys for candies but left with some 40+ pokeballs and a full egg inventory. Now I need to start egg hatching!
|
They had a tip somewhere for eggs.
Use your Permanent Incubator for the 2km and 5km eggs and use the ones that expire for your 10km eggs. get the most out of the ones that will expire. |
Finally home! We went past a load of pokestops on the way to and from my partners family party and managed to catch a CP 1k+ Electabuzz plus some other random pokemon ^_^ I now have a full bag of eggs too and a much better looking stock of balls too ^_^ Super shattered now though, so off to be soon...
Also congrats on your haul Quiet Man Cometh! <3 |
I'm so jealous of you two, I need to find out how to get to the park near here everyone talks about. :/ But congrats on the awesome stuff! And thanks Law for the hugs. :3

I use the 3-use ones for 5km eggs as well just so I can keep room to get new eggs.
|
Yeah, I have two 2k eggs, the rest are 5 right now.
Does incense attract pokemon that are in the area, but more of them, or is it independent of what's actually supposed to be around? |
I am uncertain. I know that it increased slightly what I caught, but not as much as a lure.
|
If you're just sitting in one place using an Incense, it doesn't do much -- it spawns a Pokemon from the list of stuff that spawns in your general area once every ~5 minutes. It's weaker than a Lure.
If you're WALKING with one, then it triggers as frequently as once every 100 meters as long as you're not traveling too fast. If you're traveling at a fuzz under 4mph then you hit the sweet spot of once per minute, but the way it measures distance makes it hard to hit that sweet spot. And for reference, 4mph = a 15-minute mile, so that's power-walking but not up to jogging yet. |

(30 minute 1 mile walk, 4 pokemon showed up with incense) |
